Curious (from a non PLO player) your logic on the AJJ9 hand from yesterday on the Q high board. Seems like a scary river call especially with a heart and two jacks. (Blocking FDs and turn Open Enders).

Yeah, but having 2 jacks at the same time moves his range towards the lower draws a la a654hh etc. (removes a lot of the aqj, kqj type of hands that makes trips on river). But I'm not sure it's good in theory, so valid point

All in all I don't really understand how you can show up with these constant results. Usually it goes up and down but you only seem to know one direction this year. Maybe it is because of the volume you put in. I am playing at a site that doesnt offer fast play like rush. Still you have to be very disciplined to equalize the variance and have this success. Very much respect!

Let's not kid ourselves here. This is an outlier; it's a godlike run nothing more and it's not like anyone can replicate that from just reading this thread. I run more than 200 Bi's above EV on PLO200FF since starting this thread FFS. Like what? This is so incredibly lucky that it's kind of insane that it happened to someone who has a 2+2 PB&C thread. That said, all stakes considered this year is like a 15% run. So it's not that far out. But in general having a high winrate definitely helps mitigate huge swings. My winrate is higher (due to mostly preflop work and a bit of postflop work) this year and I haven't had any significant downswing even in AI EV.

This year:

Napoli, Naples, whatever you want to call it. What a city! Easily my new favourite European city. What a vibe. We spent 4 days living in Quartieri Spagnoli and people were such a gucking blast to be around. Ate the best seafood I've had in my life at a small restaurant, Pesceria Azzura, fish shop turned into restaurant at night. They served the food on plastic plates and with plastic cutlery + wine that tasted like crap but it was all god – part of the experience as they say. Also had the best pizza I've ever had at L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele. Had to wait a good 25 minutes to get take away from there but it was amazing. Pizza fritta will never be something I'll understand but had to try it. Everything was very cheap and it felt like the city was constantly partying no matter the day (we were there from sunday to thursday). Such a friendly crowd.

I have been to Rome many times but the sheer beauty of that city is enough to make the trip worth while. Had the best pasta dish I've ever had at Restaurant Mimi alla Ferrovia, tagliatelle with chicken liver. Small local restaurant where they barely spoke any english and not a lot of turists around. My friend is a former chef and a bit of a nerd when it comes to eating out, so I was well taking care off.

Also drove around the Amalfi coast in one day. Too many good experiences! Unfortunately I came down sick when we got back and have been for the past week. Now I'm back on top and started grinding again.

One thing that strike me is how many regulars that make extremely (!) basic preflop mistakes, it's pretty nuts. I'm so used to it that I probably just shrug it off, but it's actually insane, like setting money on fire.

Oh my God... that is so disgusting, my sincere condolences. The fact you can run like that over 1.4m hands would scare me away from PLO forever. Is this including rakeback? and if not how much rakeback have you gotten?

Extremely impressive results. Do you pool select zoom much? I found I was getting dealt 3h with two other regs too often and just dropped the format only playing reg tables now. Was playing between 6pm-1am pst roughly.

I don't pool select simply because I'm better than the other regs. Also pool only runs consistently for like 8 hours a day so it's not like people have much choice. That said, a few regs will quit when I join. But they probably play other sites as well.

This thread is really a mix of givig me hope and a picture that it could be worse. Had a bad PLO year, esp. the end now with losing 60 BIs over the last 21k hands. The swings are just mad and I'm still not used to them.

What do you think of GG R&C PLO200, if you ever tried it. You think you will have the same results on GG?

Thank you! Played 1.6k hands on PLO1K and won 12k$ this year. 23k hands on PLO500 and won 10.5k$. So I do play higher. Problem is that games rarely run higher than 200. This year I intend to invest a lot + traveled way too much last year + have very high living expenses, so bankroll isn't as deep as it might seem. Also, If I can pull in 116K$ (rakeback included) in AI EV in 550k hands with a pathetic volume of 2 hours a day, I'm fine with that (not the lazy volume obviously). I have no intention of getting mad rich. I have a master's degree and I want to put that to good use sometime in the not so distant future. I don't like playing poker.

Higher rake and non-transparent rakeback system + the recent GG scandal really isn't a good look. And even if I wanted to it's not available for danish players.
