Yo people

Short intro for what this is about:
starting from lowest stake possible, gain 20 buy ins/ stake EV and move to next stake

Hopefully it wont take more than 80k hands that i reach plo50 and 50k hands for moving to plo100

I will write more about the reasons why i am doing this later, just wanted to start this thread before starting the challenge itself(jumping into tables right now)

think you are wasting your time starting from PLO2... if you were able to beat PLO200.

start at PLO25 or something reasonable

nevertheless, gl!

It would definitely be waste of time if it was about money
I dont think i have ever said that i was able to beat plo200, i did play that stake for a while and braked even ev-wise. Stakes below that i have beat with some table selecting thought. I think that i have never overestimated my own abilities in plo, and i have never needed to prove myself or others that i could beat regfests.

Back to this challenge;

I have to take something back what i wrote in opening, i didnt remember/know that there were so many stakes under plo25 and i am not going to play all those stakes. I decided to go with plo2-plo4-plo10-plo20-plo50

I have played 3 or 4 little sessions so far and im somewhere at 11 bins up ev and hoping that i have more time for this **** in close future.

So why am i doing this if it was not a rebuild?
I started playing at stars when thay got their EU license, debosited only 600$ what was the maximum amount of first debo bonus if i remember correct, started to run ok from 25-50(had decent roll for plo100 on other site) and built stars roll from that amount. About 13-14 months ago i started to run horribly at plo200, dropped to plo100, kept on running badly and soon i was down over 15k from my top point. At that point my online roll was getting pretty small and feelings about playing going down (poker is a hobby for me, thought it seems like i really cant enjoy it even a little bit when i run horribly for longer time), so i was on the borderline: do i really enjoy playing poker so much that i want to put effort in it or am i going to do something else i have been thinking lately.

I felt that i didnt want to move money to stars at this point to play plo100 "tilted" but i wasnt ready to give up this hobby yet....so...i am going to do this just to see if i love the game enough that i can do it WELL without there was any "real money" in it. Other thing is that if i play really small long enough, maybe pots at plo100 would feel like real money again.

Done with first stake, plo4 next

Dropped some bbs after reaching 20 bins but what ever, i call it cleared.

How do i rate my performance:

-i would say 2/5, didnt really use hud at all and there was 1 session where i probably played like i was trying to lose every hand.

plo2 seemed like the level i could beat like 50bb/100 if i was really trying

How do i feel about playing right now:

-Right now it seems like i could be quitting/ taking a long brake after this challenge, even thought it felt somewhat good to play micros and didnt have to care at all if someone outdrew you....lets see how i feel after plo4

...and 1 notice, i was surprised to see so many players who seemed like they really were trying to play winning poker, future millionaires perhaps

no plo4 then, if i am not even worse in using filters, then there arent available games at stakes plo4, pl8, plo16, and plo20...... maybe just stakes for nlhe where playerpools are Xsomething compared to plo?

plo5-plo10-plo25-plo50-plo100 then

Edit: btw, if someone knows why i cant edit older messages, give me a hint?

Thanks for info and thanks, but like i said, i really dont feel like i did good job there.

Yesterday i went for the dildoface-mode on tables, played like invalid and used chat abusive way.... for example, 1 dude just politely asked me how my game was going and i answered something really stupid, cant recall it exactly, but felt pretty stupid afterwards

But hey, i can call it image-improvement, right? Not really, i feel like "clever" trolling is ok and try to use it with mostly without success.

I have played few k hands plo5 now and doing ok. Thinking about dropping tablecount when i start plo10,(i play mostly 9 tables, prefer regulars and absolutely no zoom) mostly because games seem to be pretty fast in micros and if there are some tables shorthanded it seems like my slow brains cant keep in that pace. 7 might work well enough.

Ok, done with plo5.....dunno what to say, didnt even think that it was possible to tilt like i did in microgames...and i did it twice

Worst tilt was somewhere at 9k hands when i was like 1 buy in from goal and lost one hand to drooler -> one of the worst tilts ever

Had hard time to get mindset to grind properly after that and i was even close to quit , then i took couple of days of and made few changes to my hud, just to avoid using pop ups too often. Played few hundred hands small stakes just to get familiar with new hud and then got back to plo5 challenge (in about 14.1k hands mark) with good motivation and made some good work after that.

Motivation, yes, right now it seems like i have really found some of it and for a long long time i have felt like i really want to start grinding, not just that i hope that i would enjoy my session after i have started.

Next it is time for plo10 then. I might start doing some hand reviews also, not sure about it yet but lets see....

couple of hands;

1) Sometimes this would be raise on flop, but what i really am thinking is, if this should be shipped on river or not....for value of course, dont think that too many straights would fold when action was like it was

    2) Very close spot, UTG was opening like 60% of hands and didnt really like to check or fold, sb is loose, not agro but still it felt like he would raise better made hands on flop, so kinda had to ship it, not so happy thought.

It has been a pretty big surprise to find out how many former plo100-plo200 regs have been playing plo10 last couple of days. At least one guy who played even higher, plo400+ and few that i have always considered as winning players at those stakes. Maybe at least some of them are having same kind of challenges that i do....

Played really poorly today at some points but maybe i was a bit lucky and didnt put my self on downswing, and im doing pretty good atm at plo10, some thanks belong to this special 91/41/36 guy...he probably thinks that it was a setup and he is unlucky.

        Done with plo10.

Had pretty rough time in the middle, losing like 15+ bins of ev at this level makes one feel pretty dump easily. Luckily found some heater and managed to get through.

I had to play pretty much plo50 and some 100 to maintain supernova, so thats the reason why it took so much time.

Time to start plo25. have been reading a lot that plo25 is very hard to beat nowadays, lets see if it is true.

has been pretty hard start for 25, i have been playing mostly b-game and lost bunch of money to the biggest fishes at tables. They just keep on calling with their thrash and win

17 bins under ev in 4500 hands doesnt really help on playing better thought
