Greetings,

Wanted to keep my self accountable and improve my journaling. So decided to start one month blog/challenge with plan to make one thousand dollar profit playing 25nl regular tables, RB and doing available daily mission on PartyPoker (basically 95% 25nl and 5% everything they trow at me). Challenge/Blog end date 21.04.2024 (+RB at 22.04.). Will drop to 10nl at 400$, so hoping for good start, nevertheless gonna continue blogging.

I am 26 years old from Latvia, currently working full time job (12h shifts, 15 days a month). I have been on and off playing poker recreationally for a few years. Playing all sorts of formats.

BR:

Goals (Playing day):
-Post daily updates (Graphs, Biggest HH, interesting spots)
-Study every day at least 1h
-Gym every morning
-Good sleep, good nutrition
-Track my emotion during/after playing
-Have fun and not put extra pressure on myself

Will have extra boost at the start. Optibet welcome is tournament that happens every Friday with around 100ppl giving mtt tickets as prices.

Day 1

Old BR: (For whatever reason BR at the morning was 497,65$, not gonna bother)
New BR:

Results: +32,24$ (28,96$ cash, 3,28$ Spins/MTT)

Cash graph:

Played 2,5 sessions:

RB:

Plan is to grind to 150$ Rake this week to get 25% RB = 37,5$

Session Nr. 1 : Nice relaxing grind with many fishes, didn't have any hard decision. Smooth sailing.
Session Nr. 2 : Very stressful, emotional roller coaster, haven't seen that many suckouts in a long time. Would been much better if I ended this session earlier, but couldn't get myself to do it after seeing all the crazy plays whales/maniac were making, Paid the price for it. Was suprised to end the session with +3$ (In my mind I was down up to 2 buyins)
Session Nr. 2,5 : Jumped back in after cooling down, 2/4 tables were HU which I enjoyed.

Goals (Playing day):
Done -Post daily updates (Graphs, Biggest HH, interesting spots)
Done -Study every day at least 1h
Done -Gym every morning
7/10 -Good sleep, good nutrition
7/10 -Track my emotion during/after playing
5/10 -Have fun and not put extra pressure on myself

Biggest Win/Most Lucky:

HH1: Vs potential fish ( paid 0,25$ from CO), I wanted to fold but coudn't bring myself to do it vs almost unknown. Not happy with my decision.

Biggest Loss:

HH2: Vs Maniac/Whale this guy cold-called(20% of stack) w/ 97o BTN vs HJ 3B vs LJ, was gambling and doing random BS.

Biggest Bluff:

HH3: Vs solid/tightish reg... Cloud fold Pre vs BB 3B, calling flop seems standard, turn could start blasting but taught that gonna win most of the time if it goes check-check river, raising seems much better then calling reping barely anything but it's hard to be bluffing (I guess). As I said unsure, worked out tho.

Biggest Blunder:

HH4: Vs aggro reg... Hand happened at the end off session 2 at which time I was already losing my emotional control, plus I have never looked at monotone boards OOP. Trying to get calls form TT-QQ w/club or KQs but IMO really misplayed it.

Most Unlucky:

HH5: Vs the same guy from HH2, only think i'm unsure is flop call. In hand taught that BDFD + 2 pair out is enough to continue, probably blunder.

Any feedback about Blog format or how I played is much appreciated.

I recognize the feeling of frustration in session 2.

HH4: is the hand really that butchered? Do you think you should have checked flop and/or turn. I'd hate giving free cards to any club. And if a club falls you might get bluffed off the best hand.

HH5: Calling with Q7s OOP is probably correct against the player type, but it sets up a high variance play. Since you are in position on the maniac/whale all other positions I'd consider folding if you were already feeling like the tilt was clouding your judgement. But I'd call in game, I'm sure, unless BB was 3-betting lightly.

Day 2
Old BR: 530,97$
New BR: 637,63$

Today results: +106,66$ (All 25nl)
Total results: +138,9$

Cash graph: (First session was actually +6$ H2N4 shows few errors when inputting HH)

Played 4 sessions:

RB:

Session Nr. 1 : Started by losing half a buyin in first hand, but managed to climb back. Super soft games with only one decent reg. In future gonna try playing in mornings more often.
Session Nr. 2 : Very enjoyable session with many great spot. Getting value when nutted, getting folds when bluffing... Even after losing 2 all-ins- one with 49% HU and second one with 34% 3-way
Session Nr. 3 : Went thin in 2 spots and won all the chip. Rest of the session was smooth.
Session Nr. 4 : Won a half-buyin from maniac w/ AJs vs QTs. Played a weird hand where I was raised small vs my OB and binked river, for whatever reason didn't get rest of the money after villain check/folded. Ended session a bit early, felt tired.

Goals (Playing day):
Done -Post daily updates (Graphs, Biggest HH, interesting spots)
Missed -Study every day at least 1h
Missed -Gym every morning
5/10 -Good sleep, good nutrition
7/10 -Track my emotion during/after playing
8/10 -Have fun and not put extra pressure on myself

Biggest Win:

HH1: Vs loose-aggro reg. felt thin but still went for it, happy with my decision

Biggest Loss:

HH2: Vs reg, decided to check/call turn and river. Not sure, felt like good hand to do this with.

Biggest Bluff:

HH3: Vs solid reg... OTT decided that I'm gonna bet/bet just need a brick river.

Biggest Blunder:

HH4: BB was fish (later tagged as whale), MP reg. Lately getting really confused in multi-way pots and this one wasn't exception. Looking back flop should be bigger bet or check and as played turn sizing was just awful IMO.

Most Unlucky:

HH5: Vs two whales, losing with 34% 3-way. As hand before got confused.

Thanks for reading.
Any feedback about how I played or thinks I could do better is much appreciated.

H1 is whatever, might be a good idea to just always 4-bet AK.

H2 A lot of regs will either never arrive to the river with enough bluffs, give up, or somehow think they have SDV.

3x BTN makes me think they're not good at poker (confirmed by showdown) which might give them more potential bluffs if they under fold pre/flop and merge turn. Not sure if weaker players turn pairs into bluffs less but it feels like a trickier play so I've always assumed they don't.

H3 I like it, proper you're never bluffing spot and villain isn't super strong. Your blockers are kinda bad (maybe 6 folds only 2 value combos).

H4 I don't think anyone knows what they're doing multiway, seems fine.

And I really like the hand where shoved turn with AA in a previous post.
I really like this, you seem aggressive but not spewy which is rare.

And it's 25nl, if you haven't ****ed up every session that means you aren't looking hard enough.

Old BR: 637,63$
New BR: 791,33$

Today results: +133,7$
RB: +20$
Total results: +292,6$

Cash graph:

Played 3 sessions:

RB:

Session Nr. 1 : Nice smooth session won many 10bb-40bb pot and lost one with buyin as I was bluffing... At one point there was only one 25nl table running, but managed to start 3 more tables and in process played good amount of HU vs fishes.

Session Nr. 2 : Similar to first session, winning a lot of medium size pots.

Session Nr. 3 : Crazy session, one reg was tilting really hard and was sitting on every of my tables. saw him lose at least 5 buy-ins. Mine focus was extract value out of him.

Goals (Playing day):
Done -Post daily updates (Graphs, Biggest HH, interesting spots)
Done -Study every day at least 1h
Missed -Gym every morning
7/10 -Good sleep, good nutrition
8/10 -Track my emotion during/after playing
8/10 -Have fun and not put extra pressure on myself

Biggest Win/Luckiest:

HH1: Vs fish,ez stack off

Biggest Loss:

HH2: HU vs reg, unsure about turn all-in but still had 25%

Biggest Bluff/Most Unlucky:

HH3: Vs reg, OTR was trying to get Kx, one pair hands and flush draws, better draws to fold... Run into it.

Biggest Blunder:

HH4: BTN was reg that was tilting and blasting, MP Short stacked whale, CO also whale.. Chasing draw a little to much.

Thanks for reading.

Greeting,
Great start to the blog/challenge. Most likely poker gods blessed me with run good for starting a blog...Hopefully it continues.
As far as how I played, was focusing on quality instead of quantity and to improve quality and cool down in between sessions took at least 1 hour long breaks.
Was lacking a bit of study hours, but made up for that actively interacting with fellow poker enthusiasts at discord/2+2. Still need to put more hour in core study.
Fitness was lacking as I went to gym only one out of three possible off work days, but given I take 45k step in a single working day I will be fine. nutrition was good.

Goals for Week 2:
1. Increase value to 6,5k hands.(Friday-Sunday)
2. Take Wednesday of for studying only.
3. Gym 3x
4. Study Preflop at work (Monday, Tuesday)
5. Celebrate GF birthday Thursday (No Poker)

New BR: 971,93$

Today results: +180,6$
Total results: +473,2$

Cash graph:

Played 3 sessions:

RB:

My game review:
Decent day, was not expecting to play but somehow sneaked in few sessions... Played fine (little lucky noting to special), was battling vs one reg that has gone mental and now is tagged as maniac (Idk what happened to the guy). Was playing semi-serious,that i'm not a fan off, but it was relaxing and running this good was honestly shocking. Still preparing to put a lot of value during the weekend.

Goals (Playing day):

Done -Study every day at least 1h
Missed -Gym every morning
5/10 -Good sleep, good nutrition
6/10 -Track my emotion during/after playing

Biggest Win/Luckiest/Blunder:

HH1: Vs Reg that gone mental and now is tagged as Maniac...I'm well aware that stacking off 250bb with TPTK is not the best, below will post some hands that happened vs same guy before hand above. Unsure about this hand.

Last one was same guy vs other reg( He called with 22 and cashed out)

Old BR: 971,93$
New BR: 1147,13$

Today results: +175,2$ (+6,8$ Spins(free tickets))
Total results: +648,4$

Cash graph:

Played 3,25 sessions:

RakeBack:

Session Nr.1:
Games were really good and at every table there was the maniac from day 4, I think the more I play vs himthe more I got him figured out... Still played too long and my game quality suffered. In future will try to stick to playing less then 90min before talking a break.

Session Nr.2:
Played good and sucked out vs maniac. In the middle of the session lost two big hands KK vs AA preflop and AA vs AKo on KK245cc 4Bpot, that set me back but still very profitable session. This session I was stricter on play time and felt as my game quality was good throughout all session.

Session Nr.3:
Received few donation that I happy accepted, opponents over-valuing TPWK, Over-valuing under pair when I got quads, blasting with almost 0 eq when i got TPTK. Nice and smooth was in right spots to receive all the donation. Might be because of holiday.

Goals (Playing day):
Done -Post daily updates (Graphs, Biggest HH, interesting spots)
Done -Study every day at least 1h
Missed -Gym every morning
8/10 -Good sleep, good nutrition
5/10 -Track my emotion during/after playing
7/10 -Have fun and not put extra pressure on myself

Biggest Win:

HH1: Vs 2 whales, guy that went all-in had ATo and cashed out OTF, not much to say. Donation received.

Biggest Loss:

HH2: Vs same maniac (nemesis), ye i'm not folding QQ vs this guy.

Biggest Bluff-catch:

HH3: Vs maniac (nemesis), have noticed that he's doing this kinda OB all-in OTF with draws 4 out of 3 times now and 54s imo is better then 88 because of extra outs if i'm wrong.

Luckiest:

HH4: Again vs same maniac (nemesis), TPGK and gut-shot IMO is snap vs this guy even given Preflop action... Still happy to suck out.

Biggest Blunder/Block Bet:

HH5: Vs reg, he went after me in the chat after this hand and challenged me to HU at 200nl, I like bluffing flop and turn and with idea of blasting river, but after hitting FH OTR wanted to look weaker and block-bet, still working on understanding when and how to block-bet.

Sick results! And gutsy play against the maniac reg.

HH5: I don't use block bets, and this hand is a great example why. I just feel that we miss too much value too often. I'm not saying there are spots where they are good, but I can't identify them. What I do like in this case is that you can safely call against a raise. What I don't like is that there are many hands (Jx) that will call a bigger bet, 2/3 or 3/4 pot bet for example.

Day 6

Old BR: 1147,13$
New BR: 1330,33$

Today results: +170,09$ (I note how much I have at the start of the day and how much when I finished, most likely hand that was -13$ was lost somewhere in import process)
Total results: +818,49$

Cash graph:

Played 3 sessions:

RakeBack:

Session Nr.1:
One off the craziest session I played in a while. Form huge low's to huge high's. Won few sizable pots against my nemesis (Maniac who keeps blasting against me). Made a huge hero call vs aggro-fish. And might value owned myself in 330bb pot...

Session Nr.2:
Was okeyish although made few critical mistakes... Played longer session and took a small 10min break in between after that played extra 30min with music playing.

Session Nr.3:
At one point 4/4 tables I was playing were full off reg. Enjoyed it maybe not as profitable, but fun and challenging. Had to remember how to play solid poker.

Goals (Playing day):
Done -Post daily updates (Graphs, Biggest HH, interesting spots)
Missed -Study every day at least 1h
Done -Gym every morning
7/10 -Good sleep, good nutrition
5/10 -Track my emotion during/after playing
8/10 -Have fun and not put extra pressure on myself

Biggest Win:

HH1: Vs Nemesis, it's already a win if I get seated on the left of him. Donation received.

Biggest Loss:

HH2: Vs reg (no reads), might be too thin and I value owned myself. Was trying to get called by AQ AJ AT, was giving him 11 combos that beat me(A7s A2s A4s 77 22). What would be better line in this spot?

Biggest Bluff-catch:

HH3: Vs Aggro fish(saw him 3B all in 80bb, and take many aggressive lines postflop). Not a fan of my CB sizing OTF. OTT decided that I would like to slow down and let him be aggresive because i'm not folding with my eq (depends on sizing ofc). OTR for me story his story looks like BS... "If it doesn't make sense call"

Luckiest:

HH4: Vs Whales that has been tagged as "Never bluff" also have note on him "sizing represents hand strength''. That been said AK is AK happy to 4B, unhappy to call.

Biggest Blunder

HH5: Vs one of the better fishes (not doing to much blunders, still a fish tho). OTR my taught process: 1. should just call vs this sizing hard to get value and I can be beat by better full-houses. 2. Just calling full-house is crazy, he is a fish lets raise small and fold vs all-in he is never going all-in with worse. 3. There are only two combos of QJs and one off JTs... Call(didn't even think about 3 combos of TT)

Biggest Bluff:

HH6: Vs reg, OTF and OTT taught I'm still good and iff not I have a J as an out. OTR was not expecting OB and on this river where I can have AA AK KTs decided to go for it...Feel like this is one of those "Who the f*** ever bluffs here spot*. Also my decision was impacted by music I was listening...
https://open.spotify.com/track/6s7M8...49c67795394e98

P.S. At the start of the Blog/Challenge I wrote about continuing even if I drop to 10nl, meaning I was not expecting to run this good and win this much in such a short time frame. So to clarify I will continue to play 25nl on PartyPoker and posting daily updated till 22.04.2024. Also I like posting updates in next days morning if I don't have work.

Thanks for reading.

H2: I also go thinly for value, I think ot outperforms c/c in general. In this case, there is an argument for c/c riv since flush draws missed and might bluff.

H5: I can't see how you should not raise river with the boat, BB could have AJ or KJ or straight. Calling the 3-bet might be wrong as tjere are many better boats but not sure, you get great odds. Do you think J8s might be in villain's range? (Only one combo but still)

Played 3 sessions:

RakeBack:

Session Nr.1:
On all 4 tables was unfortunately OOP of my nemesis So adjusted to 2x rfi and trapping a lot more esp at BvB. Was kinda handicapped and played solid patience poker.

Session Nr.2:
Nice tables with 1-2 reg max. Many interesting spots and dodged few bullets...

Session Nr.3:
Chill session, many tough tables with fewer fishes. Got it in good Preflop KK vs QQ vs reg.

Goals (Playing day):
Done-Post daily updates (Graphs, Biggest HH, interesting spots)
Missed -Study every day at least 1h
Missed -Gym every morning
4/10 -Good sleep, good nutrition
4/10 -Track my emotion during/after playing
5/10 -Have fun and not put extra pressure on myself

Biggest Win/Luckiest:

HH1: Vs Solid aggressive reg, HJ was a fish... IMO decent spot to stack off losing to 11 combos and there are many semi-bluffs also could do this with JJ TT.

Biggest Loss/Blunder:

HH2: Vs Fish, he trapped me when I decided to be greedy trying to get called by Kx and PP. Was not expecting for fish to out play me like that. Obviously he "hit-n-runs''

Biggest Hero-Fold:

HH3: Vs Reg that has a note:'' Loose Preflop, value heavy Postflop. I don't see any bluffs OTR. Weird to call OTT and fold this river card... Might be bad (will look into)

Another Hero-Fold:

HH4: Vs same reg from HH1. B60-B60-X/all-in. I don't think I'm ever good here.

Nemesis Hand:

HH5: Just letting him blast
