Running a decent amt below EV, but I'm optimistic about the future! I get the impression that my new backer/coach will help me improve rapidly, as long as I put in the work. I've already identified some spots where my thought processes are poor.

Had a trip to Toronto for MTG that didn't work out very well, back into playing .5/1 PLO under stake. Big focus for this month is consistency in play, and not making mistakes that I know are mistakes.

how many buy ins do you have for plo100?

Feeling bad about results lately at PLO100, I know it doesn't matter. But just feels like I'm getting unlucky recently, and it's exhausting and stressful.

Have been making some large mistakes recently, so it's nice to have my coach to tell me that I'm making them.

Just very demoralizing to move all the way back down to PLO100, only to have the downswing continue and keep running badly.

Pretty sick run last couple thousand hands, running at abt 10bb/100ev for the last 10k hands pre rakeback at PLO100.

Focusing on mental game and consistency!



Considering playing some WSOP circuit event weekend in January. There's only a $400 that I'd fire, but I believe the cash games are extremely good at this time.

Unfortunately, the MTG event in Calgary didn't go well.

Back at 1/2 and 2/4! Just one table of 2/4 in a good game.

Pleased with progress so far.

Played 500 hands of 2/4, made some really bad / spewy plays, got moved down after losing 4k

Today lost another 1.5k at 1/2.

Everything felt so easy at .5/1, now I'm running into resistance.

Annoyed to get moved back down after 500 hands, this isn't even a full session worth of hands. Was running bad in a private club game full of 70-80% vpips.

Since Friday, I've lost 5k. Not playing my A game, but not playing my F game either.

Down $2100 in EV at 2/4, which considering the game mostly plays 1k$+ deep, seems like very little to me. But either way I just don't understand why I'd get moved down if this game is supposedly so soft.

So basically immediately dropped into 4k in makeup after moving up to a 2/4 game, and back to grinding mostly .5/1 because good 1/2 games aren't even running often/break quickly, in the clubs that I have access to. So probably 1 table of 1/2, and 3 tables of .5/1 normally.

So yeah, not feeling great.

This is exactly why I could never play backed. The constant getting moved stakes outside of my own control would drive me mad

Running abt 27BI below EV, pretty rough.

Nothing I can do except focus on battling with my A game and studying! At this point even if I fail with poker, I want to have improved as a person via the process.

-Not using phone 1h before sleep / in bed, have noticed I feel MUCH better in the morning

-Healthier diet

Plo50, 100 and 200 on stars are very soft.

Work on your fundamentals.
If you don't have great fundamentals, avoid playing zoom pools when you will be 4 or 5 handed.
Bumhunt and target the whales.

I'm up nearly 20k this month, and I've played a bunch of plo50. Its mostly 200, but as others have said, I'm adding tables to play 50 when there are 8 people in the 200z pool

Yeah, stars felt pretty good in the short sample I had there! Unfortunately, my backer is an app game affiliate, so playing app games is my only option at the moment.

Haven't been updating as much as I would have liked.



7.7bb/100ev over ~20k hands, was as low as 3.3bb/100ev during the most severe part of the downswing.

Feel jaded regarding app games, want to move to non app games ASAP. Have talked about it briefly with backer. Main issue is PLO200 game quality seems to drop off significantly on major unions.

I really want to level up in 2023, hoping this staking cooperation can set me in the right path. Goal for this summer is WSOP.

Also want to go back to firing PLO MTT main events across different sites.

Biggest plus is I think my play is improving fairly rapidly.

Excellent news! Backer agreed to set me up on ignition for 1/2. Just played .5/1 today, but starting 1/2 tomorrow.
