In my first goal I attempted to turn my losses at 2NL into wins. While I fell short of the hand volume I wanted to achieve, I did succeed in turning my graph from downward to upward, so I consider it a kind of a success.

Now it's time to do the same for 5NL

Up to now, I have logged 16,754 hands at 5NL (~85% of it at Rush Poker) and I have lost a total of $131.79 over those 16,754 hands. So, I have a lot of work to do just to get back to even

My goals for this time are the following:

At least 1,000 hands per day - I feel comfortable 6-tabling now, and depending on how speedy the tables are, it should only take about two hours per day to get 1,000 hands, which fits in easily with my work/home schedule. If I can get more, then great, but I want to get at least 1,000
Minimum 50K hands total (including the 16.7K I have already played). I want a good sample size to prove to myself that I am able to win at 5NL before I move up to 10NL. With the hands I have already put in, this leaves me 33,246 hands to go, and a big deficit to work off.
+3ptBB/100 overall win rate - higher would be great, but if I am able to achieve at least a +3 over 50K total hands, then I will feel like I am a winning player at this level.
No Rush poker - I know I said that in my last goal, but this time I mean it. If I fail to sustain my Ironman status, so be it. I lose more at Rush than I was making from Ironman anyway, so simply avoiding Rush is +EV for me at this point
Once a week, take a couple hours and review the week's results, looking for leaks and ways to improve my play. I'll try to post unusual or tricky hands here from time to time as well to get input.

If I achieve all those goals, I feel I will be ready to move up to 10NL next.

If I can average 1,000 hands per day or more, this should only take me a little over a month to complete, and as it turns out, I am involved in a prop bet/contest in the Micro Stakes Full Ring forum where I will be playing 5NL all month anyway, so two birds with one stone, and all that

I play on Stars and Tilt mostly, but started playing some on RPM as well, all under the sn 'OldRod', so if you see me at your table, try not to put too bad a beat on me

Would there have been anything wrong with using the same thread as you previously used? Makes sense to progress through a single thread, rather than clogging the section with small, super short term goal threads!
