Firstly, INTRODUCTIONS!

Hi

No Jk lol. Hey guys new to the community and but not the poker world andjust would like to introduce myself "Chicago Jay" and very pleased to be here. I've known about 2+2 thru my brother and read some threads but never made an account. So not that I'm here to share what I have in mind for the next few years. It's a long time but wtf are we here for? To make money right? Wrong! To play some fkn Poker and playing poker is about learning and becoming a winning player. Well it's the way I look at it and don't mind the title it's what we're all supposed to do, eventually. No, but really I'm 50/50 on the money and learning part. Well I can say I'm from Canada and enjoying the nice winter weather at the moments and it's beautiful up in the Northern Regions of Canada, all the skidooing, snowshoeing, camping, it's what I like to do. Grew up doing it all my life. Awesome times. Well I'm not here to talk about camping and ****, I'm here to point out destiny and I really believe when dreams are what you see is what you'll get only if you believe in yourself and I believe I can make a living off this poker stuff so let me begin.

Poker From Behind

ah, I know what you were thinking on that one, uhhh...naw, "Poker Background" is what I meant and I can start off from last year. Been playing mostly tournaments and some cash games 6m and supposedly to mention, I'm usually a microstakes player but sometimes when I got the cash I'd play a big tourney from time to time. Pretty novice I know but what the heck this year is 2014 and I'm taking this **** seriously. I've played up to 25nl-50nl and I can say didn't do that bad which means I didn't profit, usually playing 5nl-25nl but I've got the feel of the higher microstakes and I liked it so I plan to save a bankroll for the game and learn it but I'll get back to this part in a bit. Last year I came out a winner I'd say a few hundo with the cash 6m games and the majority of it from tournaments and profited about $11,000 for 2013, but bigger plans for 2014 and pretty much different plans but almost the same games I'd say but plan to start from the edge of the micros. Forgot to mention that I've been playing poker recreationally for the past 4 years so I got knowledge and skill in there but this year I plan to hone those skills to a maximum level to become the deadliest unbeatablist player in the WORLD. lol no jk. Wouldn't that be nice though, but just here in the poker world to try and make a living playing the game I like, love, dig, how ever you'd say it. Pretty much that's all...mmhmm. Anyways to the plan part.

Plan A

To make money for a living...

But Obviously we need money! lol So I've planned to save up and got just under $500 so far and my goal just like the title says is to save $5000, plus some coaching money when I get there. So I gotta look into some guys that coach micros/small stakes and decide on which guy would be good and is willing to coach me for a reasonable price so that depends on how much I invest for coaching, willing to take some advice on this also, some pointers would be appreciated. While the time being while I'm saving up I'll be honing my skills, by reading books, watching vids from training sites. Most would probably be on theory and mindset, tilt, that kinda stuff. Once again, wouldn't mind some pointers and help from the community to where I can find valuable information, anything to help make this possible. As for other things like reading up on hand histories, thought process, analyzing, discussions here @twoplustwo. I'd probably be in here most of the day reading and learning up on the micro/small stakes forums

TBH, I think knowing first is to how to play the cards, "Learn the ammo you use, then use your weapon to fire at the enemy" So I'll be doing a lot of hand history work and working with ranges and calculators to familiarize myself to positive correct plays. Then eventually put a lot of work in to exploiting types of players but I strongly believe cards come first. I know a bit on how to play it's just I want to feel like I'm pro when going in to this part of this challenge when it comes time to get to down to the real grind time. You feel me?

Plan B

There is no plan B! Plan B is going back to **** hole I came from, working a 8 hour job. lol jk Work was fine but wouldn't you just love to do what you just love to do and do it for a living from home and be free all you want and just live it out the way you want to? ok then well that's plan B "Live it out, Grind it out"

Other Plans

Self-Discipline I have and it's hard but your just gotta do it if you want to survive in this game, So i'ma gonna do it.
STUDY, STUDY, STUDY and I mean that by tons of reading, tons of playing, tons of sleeping, and tons of analyzing.
Continuing Good Bankroll Management<<<<VERY IMPORTANT. Its the ammo for that .306 you got on your back!

The Savings Plan

I come from a small community so there are ways people can make money from where I'm from. People know People, Friends are friends with other friends where it all becomes to where everyone knows everyone in this town, so it isn't hard to think of little money making ideas. Well to mention I'm on EI at the moment staying home and enjoying time off while the fiancee is out working, it's all good and she's going to be one of my supporters in this. Helping me save up the bankroll I'll need since she's going to be doing the spending if all this goes to where I want it to go. So yea she's good 100%, she's an awesome partner, love that woman. A lot of the people here in my HT do some food sales where you can make up to $1000 on one sale. Usually going on Facebook and looking up the town's local group page "Food Wars" where the community is always selling something good to eat. lol I know it sounds funny but we're talking money making ideas here and that's a good one here and you can make $1000 in a day! Nice profit I can say, but I'm no cook and can't do that for a living. The woman probably do that for the savings. lol The community also does like to gamble so they have these little gambling ideas which are money makers that are posted on our community FB page and I'm always in that part of the deal, and there is also hockey games going on where you can make $200 Gtd a night with the hockey games going on everyday. So I have it pretty easy when it comes to making money here and there and since I'm not working anymore for the time being I get to go out and pull my magic. And never know if I work hard enough, I'd be starting in a month of two.

One thing I ask...
Support from the Two Plus Two'ers, I know there is a lot of good supporters out there so any advice guys I'd appreciate it and thanks for reading and hope you all follow along.

Hey Guys,
Well I've decided I'm going to be playing 25-50nl 6 max cash and some $10-$20 tourneys, nothing higher. I'm also in the process of making some money and hopefully add at least $200 more tomorrow and another $400 by Friday. And I've been looking into finding a coach. It's kind of tough to secure one. Maybe some advice from someone whom who would know where to find a good reasonable coach or some site that offers them. When I'm looking for a coach, a background of their success and what they do is what I'm looking for when I mean secure. I also got an offers on rake back deals from certain euro sites and I'm from Canada. Be good to clear some bonuses and get some of their nice rake back deals to build a roll there. One thing I gotta look at is that some eurosites don't accept Canadian players which isn't kool. I hear pokerstars is tax free in Canada which sounds awesome but the other thing that sounds awesome is that the smaller poker sites are more fishier and easier to build a roll and are these sites also tax free? I was wonder if I should just start playing there until I'm well trained to play the tough games @pokerstars. Anyways just to dropping in and see what's up, been busy all day trying to get things going.
