One long session from 3h to 12h depending how I'm running, how good the games are and how tired I am.

Do you drink coffee? Lemonade? Grinding music? Browse the web and/or chat while playing? Sitout and walk around the apartment for a while? Or is it just simply - as bjsmith22 said - practice, ie you've played longer and longer sessions over your career?

I can only manage multiple hour sessions on illegal drugs..

Also this. Unfortunately "liking poker more" basically = being a bigger degen lol

In fairness, it must be a lot less boring when you play such high stakes. I don't think it's just down to being a degen either, even if you're generally bored by poker and don't enjoy gambling if you're risking 5k+ you're gonna be pretty interested in what's going on.

its all relative. A 25-50 reg would be bored playing 5-10 and a 25c 50c reg would be sweating every bet at 2-4.

Thats right, but I think the moneys you play for related to the avg monies you or other normal people see/waste in real life still matters.

I have a follow up question which I'm sure you've already gotten a million times before. At the moment I cant go thru the whole thread cuz I'm in a hurry and I really want to know your opinion. Feel free not to answer it if you're sick of the question.
Now to the actual question. What do you think would be the most effective way to improve your game to the point where you're winning enough to make a living?
Grind 8-12 hours everyday? Split up those 8 hours into playing, going thru hand histories, studying, get coaching, talk alot of poker with friends, sweating other people and getting sweated yourself etc

By the way you're a great inspiration to the rest of the aspiring new poker players. Keep it up

I'm too sometimes bored after 1 hour.. But then I keep playing and next time I see what the time is it's usually 4-5h more.

I drink coffee sometimes before I start playing but not while I play. No lemonade. Sometimes I listen to music sometimes not. I might browse web every now and then and I definitely chat too much while playing. I usually never take breaks during my session. If I sit out I miss value!!! But yeah I guess it's easier to play long sessions now than ~3 years ago.

Hey Giev, how many tables are you usually playing if you don't mind me asking, and what sort of hands per hour?

I was wondering one thing. If your play is based on redline maybe not based but that is your style, Have you ever think about changing this for more SD value for a while? Don't you think It could surprise your villains?

When you start earning from redline NL200/nl400 higher?

red line comes from playing well. you're asking him if he would consider playing worse to confuse people. i'm gonna go out on a limb and say no.

Yep this is true. When ever I have a losing red line I can feel that I wasn't playing my A-game. Break even red line could mean that I'm just playing a bit differently but losing one isn't good.

Nah I don't. I was thinking before that maybe I should try to learn it but now I feel again that I rather just play NL as long as there is value.

Don't you think the value in PLO might completely crush that in NLHE?

Yeah it might idk. I just feel that it would take me for ever to become good enough to beat 25/50.

Well I never have 8 tables going on at ipoker since it's so dead network but I don't think it would be a problem. Timebank would be nice but with minimaxmod it's playable imo.

could you someday take a picture of your tables with hud stats? while blocking out everything but hud stats in all corners? (even room names)

just for us lower stakes grinders to see what 'soft' highstakes tables look like for a crusher

Would be really appreciated by me and a bunch of lurkers and a million fanboys
