Work sucks right now, quite busy doing "repasses" and hating life. My boss also called in an extra person for both day and night shift to try and get this **** done this weekend. I guess we're way behind already for the month--no surprise there.

In RL, upcoming in 15-17th I'll be going to "forrestpalooza" my brother's name is Forrest and for his bachelor party we just had about 12-16 guys get together out in the country and drink and play yard games/eat good food and do a party bus for a weekend. Was so fun that many people wanted to do it the following year so this will be the 5th year in a row. Looking forward to this!

Down another 1-2 buy ins today. Ran awful in all-in spots and people rivered me a couple times for some mid sized pots. I lost a $420 some pot w/ QJhh on XXXhhh vs KhKx all in on the flop and some other ones that put me a lot under EV for the day.

With regards to my last few sessions I did find some hands I misplayed so no excuses there. Definitely on the wrong side of variance/card distribution atm so will have to keep on trucking. Prolly around 10bi under EV in the last 10k hands which doesn't help either.

I'm very determined to be a winner at 100z since I like getting the hands in there, so will just have to keep chugging at the volume and study until I get to that point. I'm really not understanding why I'm losing as I think I am good enough to be a dece winner here so will chock it up to variance. I did go ahead and check and see that my std. dev. @ 100nlz is 110 (lol) which is quite high.

Anyways, if I lose another couple buy ins it will be down to 50nl for me, and it's unfortunate that 50nl z does not run much on bovada for whatever reason.

Over a 40k hand sample and 110 bb/100 std. dev. if I have a

1. 5bb win rate
2. 1bb win rate

There is a 18% and 42% chance I'll be down over the 40k hands. Right now I'm down a bit over 10 bi so I'm kind of getting owned.

Was looking through some of your hands whilst walking to work. Most seem good and STD. As you said it's just variance. Personally I ignore my net won line and go off EV as it swings far less/is more accurate which helps with the mental side of things.

Few things. When you say you're down 10BIs, is that EV or actual? Also 110bb/100 stdv is crazy! Can you also check what rake bb/100 you're paying?

You should easily be a pretty big winner there. What's your lifetime sample there? I also think if the games are pretty well anonymous or you can't play with a HUD, you immediately lose I'd guess 2-4bb/100 off a possible winrate.

Ive also been breakeven last 30k hands or so but feel like there's been a bit of ****ty variance too. Hard to tell but if you can intrinsically feel your edge in the games then I think writing it off as variance is completely reasonable.

It's certainly a soft field. I can tell I've grown a ton as a poker player because the downswings don't hurt me much. I do still get tilted when I lose several bad hands in a row, take a short break, and usually am OK again. The pool is definitely weak, but I was surprised to see some solid lines by presumable regs when I was going through hands. Also, many of the hands I did in fact mis play imo.

I am down 15-16 buy ins actual over about 41k hands at 100nlz.

Also yes, 110 std dev is very high. I always have had a very high std dev due to all my 3b/4b , 4b calling and triple barrel bluffs. Though, I was assuming it would be lower at 100nlz because I've continually toned those down to something less maniacal.

All the money I've lost has happened in the last 5-7k hands. I haven't got my HH from the other day yet, but would guess in EV I'm only down 6-8 bi overall. In PT4 right now I'm down 9, but should have won a few buy ins and ran quite a bit below EV last night, like a lot. But have to wait 24 hours to get an accurate number.

With regards to the rake I'm paying... Assuming using "Rake Contributed" is the correct stat to be looking at then I have paid $3,625.80 over 39,565 hands which would equate to a rake of -9.16 bb/100 which is quite high especially without rake back. So that stat may be incorrect. Do you know which stat I need to look at?

Anyways, if I have a win rate of say 3bb/100 on average I'm winning 0.03 bb a hand. So, basically if I fold a lot (0bb/100) every time I fold my value is close to my actual win rate and therefore my standard dev is likely to be low. If I'm an aggrotard 8 fisted monkey maniac that 3b/4b/5b calls a lot and triple barrel bluffs then I am consistently getting into pots >>>>>>>0.03bb which will lead to me to have a very high std. dev. This is why nits usually have pretty consistent graphs.

I know Bov games are "easy" but I am actually quite surprised they're beatable at all with that rake. Absolutely disgusting. The equivalent on stars is 5bb/100 (maybe closer to 6 for you). And you see right there is 4bb/100, a very nice winrate, gone to the man. :|
