I've never had a problem with BS, and people aren't just randomly hating on him in here, some people now dislike him for showing a personality trait. Context is important, I don't think there is any topic that should be out of bounds for comedy. But there is literally no real context for saying what he did though. Maybe this was his Andy Kaufman moment? or maybe he's closet racist? I don't think anyone knows anymore. If I was to give you a list of things non racists would say, this wouldn't be too high up the list.

I am not claiming what he did was ok. I am claiming it isn't a good enough reason to merit a lot of hate in this context. I can see where you're coming from, just my opinion. I mean, hes been on vid for hundreds of hours without saying something like this, so I am not sure it is fair to make a strong character judgement for this isolated incident. I have known him for years and don't remember him ever making a racist comment before so that's likely why I am having this reaction.

I was a little heated in that re-evaluate lives moment. I retract that portion and believe some people just view this more seriously than I do and think there is merit for condemning potential racism which seems respectable. I just disagree that this one comment should make him guilty of being a racist and instead believe its a convenient way for many people who already dislike him for other reasons to dunk on him.

Being on air hundreds of hours isn't really an excuse. A lot of streamers and TV personalities are on thousands of hours without saying something like this.

African Americans and Jews have been the most persecuted ethnic groups in recent memory. And the clip wasn't fully spur of the moment either. He said Jew first, paused for a bit, then said Black Jew, that's worse. It's bad.

That being said, he did come in and apologize, whereas he could have simply just let the thread and heat die down. It speaks good to his character that he did come in, face the music, and apologize.

Just want to re-iterate that I am not trying to excuse his mistake. I am just trying to give my argument as to why I don't think deeming him a racist on this moment alone is fair.

Anyone who knows Mason's character and saw the clip can pretty clearly see he's joking... It's painfully obvious he doesn't actually harbour hatred towards black/Jewish people and it blows my mind how that's gone over so many peoples' heads. This is like absolutely classic OP taking it right to the edge with the sarcasm but because he's so deadpan, people think he's actually not joking?!

Can totally see how people who don't know him or saw this in a vacuum think it's completely unacceptable but to anyone with any ounce of social intelligence, it's pretty clear to see that this is harmless. If someone I don't know makes a joke like that in front of me I will literally beat the **** out of them. It is not funny at all. He was being mean-spirited and called someone a Jew as an insult; he also used "black" as an insult. Antisemitism is the one thing I'm willing to physically fight someone over. The response I made to someone saying I was good for an american was 0 to 100 as satire, and clearly it wasn't funny and clearly it was over the line and I'm apologizing again so there is no confusion.

I was playing 50z after not having streamed in months and the title of the stream was changed from "playing 50z" to "broke reg all money in crypto looking for stakes" also in a response to someone having said something regarding stakes during the stream. It was a joke.
