i absolutely hate players who sit at my table when im starting and sit out. if any 2 + 2ers read this thread and do that, be ashamed of your pussy self. i got the balls to play anyone, why dont you? (its ok if a table is dying)
in general I agree but I think it's better than not sitting down at all as it's possible that this attracts other players that dont want to play hu either

Badly played preflop. Should raise there. So yeah, poker is 100% dead because I obviously just took the final fish's money. You know what he called my shove with? (and if you pay attention to my last post, you'll know).

Spoiler:
A 8

Also was, at least as far as I can remember, the biggest pot I've won online. Obviously had MTT scores bigger, but not with one individual pot.

My stats so far with 25nl are a lot better than 10nl. 19.5/11.5, not where I want but at least I'm trying. Cbetting percentage is higher as well as AF. Stealing slightly more as well. Gotta keep working at it.

No play today. Too tired, will be back at it tomorrow morning if my niece's birthday "party" isn't in the afternoon. Hard to believe she's turning 1 already. Good luck everyone!

It does, because it increase the player count at the table, but at the same time the guy puts forth no effort and gets the same reward that I get, which is completely unjust (think Full Tilt's old dealt rakeback system). I don't mind if they sit out when the table is dying, because that's a completely different dynamic. But when it's just starting, at least give the fish and other players some sort of symbolic gesture that play is going on at the table and we're not simply sitting, waiting for you. Pass blinds, whatever it takes.

talk about nitty tables wow. havent been able to find more than 2 in 5 minutes....which is almost never a problem

i think i pissed away $7 but at least i stayed with the plan. SS opens in UTG, BTN flats and i flat (i'd 3bet/gii if BTN didnt play) w TT. f 665. check bet call raise fold call. that's suspicious, and i should probably check down the rest of the way. t 9, even worse card that completes 87. I bet, he shoves, i tell him he's got 76 and fold...he shows 76

and of corse right as im starting im told to help lug things in the cold and interrupt my session. greattttttttt. its ok though, i love feeling the coold late autumn air (no sarcasm)

well, HU, i open Q7o OTB and BB 3bets. was expecting, so i flat IP. f 57K, good flop. bet call. im planning t ocall down most of the time. (this is HU. if the table were full, this is a no go.) t 5. bet call. r J. not the best card, but he does bet rather small given the pot size. i call., he shows AA (lol).

two good sized pots back to back. first, flop a set of 4s in a

just made my first royal flush on bovada! now time to get the bonus. and it made it to showdown. in an AIPF pot

ok, took a little bit of time but a half BI bonus is worth 10 minutes of nittiness

blahhh lose a decent pot, think river is close. one limp, one min raise, BTN calls, I call w A2ss, BB cals, UTG calls. f 78ss5x. check, bet, fold to BTN who calls (he's bad) and i call. t Ax (good card). check, BB bets again, BTN shoves (less than a proper raise) I call and BB calls. r 5. another good card. check, he bets again. its either a draw or something like two pair, which i beat save for badly played AX where X= higher than 6. i call, and he shows he had two pair. but he rivered the boat which i thought was a good card

game is easy when you flop top two and get paid off by TPWK

folding sets is not hard

ewwww. open JxJh in MP, fish OTB calls. f 7x3h9h. bet call. t Qh. decent card. bet call. r 5h. its a b/f to get Th, 8h, 7h to call. better raises. he shoves. i fold. that guy is sooooo bad but since i chipped up on that table he's been the bane of my existence since he just keeps getting there

you raise aces preflop. period.

im cutting down to 1.5 hours today. i work later and, hell, im going on vacation (just time away from work) after tomorrow night

ewwww a "tight" player limps in UTG, I raise with AA, all folds to him and he calls. f 567. ewwww i hate that flop. check bet call. t 9. he bets. i fold and leave the table. just was nitty

I'll be the first one to admit: I didn't play entirely focused today and it definitely wasn't my A-game. Sure, there were spots, but it was closer to a B or B- than anything. There's 4 kids over here, I was brought COD Ghosts to try out (I'm not the biggest COD fan), and overall I just had other things on my mind. But I made a profit for the session and got more experience, and that's what counts (and I also dug myself out of the whole I started in)

Ah, not yet. The thread title is just a play on my last, absolutely awfully coordinated challenge. I'm in no hurry to move out so that I can take advantage of the financial breaks that it gives me living here for now. Obviously once I get a better paying job or this poker thing takes off (or both) then I'll feel financially comfortable enough to move out.

was going to start earlier, but then my nephew got me to play some kitchen hockey with him. love how i'll score 3 goals on him, but when he scores a goal he ends the game because "he wins"

3 25nl, 1 10plo. so far at least, the nlhe tables seem dry

why are people passively playing AA? must be the new trend in fish weekly. open QJss OTB, player calls who i have seen open fold a hand (which means they're bad) and super SS calls in BB. f TT9r. check, BB bets half of his 2.15 stack, i raise him the rest of it and SB calls. turn 2h. check check (i should bet here). r blank and he bets and i fold

3 streets of value from said above AA passive player TPGK, never bad

and just before first AI pot won from a SS, JT > 74o AIOTT 6798

first set, limped pot and win a SS stack. 33 > QTo AIOTF 3JQr

left omaha table with a total of -.14 profit lol it died and the nl tables look like theyve improved

theres a good example of the perfect 4bet/fold moment. BvB, 88, i open in SB and BB 3bets. 88 isnt good enough to flat OOP i feel

couple tables dried, left them

so theres a tight player with a 400bb stack? inconceivable!

back to some omaha, these tables are absolutely awful and breaking easily

oh. my. god. flopped nut full house in a 3 way 3bet pot and won a nearly 200bb pot. close call pf

hollywood acting at its finest. plo, i turn second nuts, raise, guy tank shoves, i tank call and he shows the nut straight.

leaving the plo table, taking too much concentration awayfrom 25nl tables

ok, maybe the 400bb player isnt as good as i thought. just went AI w ATo on a 67A flop, not BvB

floating is good when you turn trips

ugh i wanted to call that guy down soooo bad. he opens OTB, i 3bet KJs (could be just a flat pre) and he flats. f 2cQcJx. i cbet, he cals. t 2s. i bet again and he calls again. ugh. river 7s. not many draws continue to the river. i was hoping i could get a weak Q to fold. i have to give up though, bc he's just gunna call that third barrel.

why we dont slowplay sets. bc i can get there with QT. i open in CO QTss, new player in BB calls. f 6x8sQx. check, i bet, he alls. turn is greatest card in deck: 9s. he checks. my plan is to bet and call most raises. i bet, he raises almost a min raise and i call. river 7x. he check, i make a small value bet and he calls w 88

i actually win a good pot with AQo...dont remember the last time that's happened

i almost got another royal.

i havent seen or heard about this for set mining. but its probably somewhere on the internet. for a mathematical approach facing a raise preflop, take the direct odds and multiply it by the implied odds if you win the whole stack. greater than 20 or 25 to 1 and it should be a call.

its been a rather dull last half hour or so

well just seen awful play. guy calls a raise thn flats a squeeze with KJs. vs, a shortstacker

lost an AIPF to a SS (me and big stack just checked down) i had AKo. T3s > AKo > ATo

dammit. AKs = KQo on awful board run out. K73K7. at least it knocked me up to the second tier.

wrapping session up now.

Good session overall. On my B-game. Better than yesterday though. It was a rough last hour, I just wasn't getting cards, wasn't getting opportunities to steal....just rough. If not for the PLO loss (still pissed I didn't figure he was hollywood slowrolling) then it's a great winning session. Still, the 25nl went good, and that's the main game, so it's a win in my books.

Trying to psych myself into playing tonight, but I just don't think it'll happen. Been at my brothers all day testing out the PS4 with him. Overall, I'm not too impressed with it. We kept trying to get Conquest games going in Battlefield and servers were just awful. Graphically, eh, but then again we just played BF4 and COD. Not worth $400 at least yet.

didnt want to play until after the Browns game, but they're actually forecasting "isolated tornadoes". I have never seen any newscast around here forecast tornadoes. so get it out of the way, charge everything up, and be prepared i guess

having one hell of a time so far.

whew. 3bet KK, looser player calls and flats my cbet on J32r flop. i put him AIOTT that comes an A. he folds. whew.

pot pot pot donks at hold em. nice. he flats my pfr in BB and donk pots on 42Qdxd f. i call w Q9o. t Ax and he pots again. gotta be a fold then

yeah, the card distribution....yuck. just yuck.

limping with T8o. rivering straights against fishies. thats how to do it

wow, two punt blocks and this one goes for a TD.

lost a flip AIPF vs a guy who's shoved Q9 pre as a SS. AKs < JJ for a 40bb pot

boom. 125bb pot my way AIPF AA > QQ > T3

pick 6 against my browns ......
(at least I was forced to start the bengals D.....shhhhhhhh)

squeezes can work. now if only i had the balls to squeeze many hands...well, a wide range basically.

win an AI vs SS, AKo > A7ss AIOTT 9sAxKs9x. fade the river

win an AI vs an aggro mid stack fish, TThx > 55xx AIOTF 7h3hQx. he x/r AI and i called. t 4h, giving me a little sweat and river 6h.

well its nice flopping nuts and getting paid off

deep with an aggro fish. this could get good

wow just seen AQ vs KQ AIPF for 200+bb. UTG v MP.....i folded 76 since UTG 4bet and MP 5bet shoved afterr flatting the 3bet. yes, UTG was the deep fish. and yes, the flop came 669.

good time to "run a bluff". small pot though,

ok...just win a decent sized pot w Ahigh after double barreling

set mining be damned.

more folding of winners preflop. not results oriented though

wrapping session up now, wanting to watch the rest of the browns game and im getting hungry.

I'd say that's a successful session. I played pretty well and alert, although it was a drag starting just because I couldn't even get a LAG's stealing range from BTN as far as card distribution. Meh. Didn't flop a set, just kind of chipped up slowly but surely. I wouldn't mind playing like this every day. I may try to get another session in later tonight, assuming this storm doesn't knock the power out (which I'm preparing for).

received a $10 cash bonus for last week, BR is now above $700

that was tthe worst table ive ever started, ick. left it not even 10 minutes into the session

ick. A8, flop top and bottom on As8x9s flop, turn 9x and SS shoves. ick ick ick

whew thats a relief, got him to fold 88 or something there

hero call......no, not gunna say that. open 56s in MP, BB calls. no real reads. flop almost as good as i can, 842r (double gutter), check i cbet he call. t 9x. he checks, i decide to see the free card. r 5x. he bets 1/3 of the pot. does he really have 8x? just doesnt make sense. call, he shows 23o (oooooook)

blerg. 100bb stack limps UTG, i flat w 86cc, BB 200+bb stack flats. f 5h2h7s. BB bets, fold, i flat. BB seems somewhat thinkin. probably a flush draw or BB special two pair. t 4s yay! bet, i raise, he tank-calls. r 2s yuck. he checks, i dont like that card, so i check. he shows 35ss

first flopped set in a while nets me a 105bb pot busting a SS

i forgot i turned my phone off. no reason except for i dont think its been turned off in a few weeks.

more nice catches. open QQ, fish BB calls. f 789r. check bet call. t 2. check bet call,. r A. check check. he shows AQ (wtf?)

more bad board runouts....butworks in my favor...UTG min raises, I 3b w AJss, he flats. f 5hAh8h. bet, call. t 2h ffffffff check check. interesting. i decide to b/f on 5x river. he flats, and the pot is unexpectedly shipped to me (he had A9dd)

stupid me, dont make moves readless

jeez more bad board runouts....could have raised anywhere at that hand (AJo, he donk bets on a TQ2r board) but i guess i didnt want to, thought id be sneaky hitting the K or A

patience needed.at least im doing that right.

patchwork. thats kinda wha this session is

first pp in about half an hour and flop top set with it

same table, next hand, another pp, another set.

yeah, couldnt wait another 20 minutes to relieve the bladder

argh sklansky bucks to my account. i pulled this move once before and it set up so perfectly. UTG opens...he's not good. I 3bet w AA in CO, he flats. f Ks3s8x. check, i bet, he shoves and I snap., he shows QTss (wtf?) turn 5x river 9s fml. and then he immediately leaves. what a bitch. turns this session where ive just had to stay patient and keep on going from a profit to a probable losing one.

maybe i can make it up here. just flopped top set in a raised 5 way pot. idk if i made it up or not, but won a 140bb pot with it. QQ > AKo AIOTR Q747A.

wrapping up session now. lots of sklansky bucks coming my way

I played good. This session required a lot of patience. Wasn't super aggro pre-flop, but was a bit more aggro post-flop. Made the decisions easier. Hey, sklansky is going to say I should have won almost 2 buy-ins, so at least I'm winning at the game for now. It'll happen. Sadly, the 4-session winning streak ended today, but you can't win em all.

I think tonight is going to be MTT night. There is one tournament in particular that I have my eyes on. The 7 after $2k GTD PLO Turbo SS. There's either going to be a huge overlay or a bunch of dead money in it. I'm not close to the best player in the world, but I think I have a slight advantage over the average player playing PLO for the first time.

I've got 5 MTTs on my radar for tonight then:

$2 DS $1k GTD @ 825
$1 $1k GTD Turbo Rebuy (the last $1 Rebuy I played in was on FT, and I shipped that one) 901
$3 DS $2k GTD 903
$7 $2k GTD PLO Turbo SS 907
$0.45 $500 GTD Turbo Rebuy (Because **** it) 945

Better believe I'm gunna keep track of these hands in my typical fashion.

Oh, and the entry for the $2, $3, $7, and original $1 (not including rebuys for the $1) will all be bought with points from tournament tickets, so coming out of my pocket will just be any rebuys for the $1 and the $0.45 and the rebuys for it. So yeah, pretty good deal here. Good luck everyone!

took a small hit early in $2, JJ < KK. he 3bets OTB, i flat, he cbets once on a 622 flop and shuts down

and first set does me no good, get a raised pot pf and thats it

also got in $0.70 PLO last chance. for a $7 ticket. why not, right?

here we go, 3 MTTs startomg in the next 8 minutes

first "double up" in $1 rebuy, AKo > K5o AIPF

ewww missed massive outs w 97cc on a 5x8cKxTc board

another rebuy double up, " " QQ > 86s AIPF

lolFT of $0.70 already. boom double up, now 4/8. AKJ5hhxx > A89Tr AIPF. great QJJ f

i know its just a 70 cent tournament but youve gotta get excited and if you dont, maybe poker isnt for you

wow now 1/7 at FT after regging late

starting to feel a bit shortstacked at $2 MTT

first break of $2 MTT, 228/308, need a double up as blinds go to 100/200 soon

whiffing completely in $7 omaha....ewww yeah finished 188 in it. bustout: KKJ9ssxx < 8854 vs a fish with already triple starting stack on 655 flop. i just whiffed everything whenever i had a decent hand.

i just saw this. AIPF 77 > 44 > 33. wtf?

tis 4 handed thing is lasting forever.

and just as i type that, it ends and i share first forrrr.....another $7ticket for any $7 after

BOOM triple up in $3 2k w BB special! Q4o > As9x > 22 AIOTF 9s4x4s up to double average now

and then knock a plyaer out of $1 rebuy, AQo > QJo AIOTF 86Q

ugh i dont have enough chips in $2 to play speculative hands with an M of 11

.45 turbo rebuy starting with 500 chips. donkalicious

whew. opened Q5ss from BTN folded to me and SB calls (in $2). f 7s3xAs and im gearing up to get it in with it. but a cbet takes it down

first AI lost, 76 < A9 < J7 AIPF in .45

well there we go, win a 4 way AIPF pot in .45, 55 > A2 > 27 > Q7

and another loss, AQo < TT < JJ AIPF

wtf? it wouldnt let me rebuy in .45 rebuy after busting. i clicked double rebuy three tmes but it knocked me out. meh thats crap

so I guess im only in 3 MTTs now...kind of a bummer. but i just won a decen pot pf. BTN tries to steal, im at an awkward stack so i 3b shove ATs and BB and BTN both fold

1st break in $1 and $3. in $1r, 31/315. in $3, 58/326

wow. well, good to suckout sometimes. get AKo, iso raise a SS limper, he flats. f 4s6x9s. check...such a weird cbetspot, so i check. t 9x. he min bets. i have a moment of lapse and shove. he calls with JJ yuck. river K. mental lapse, but i add more than 75% to my stack and im above avg now

total prize pool for $1r: $1244, with $255 up top

boom score a knockout in $2, 88 > 55 AIPF me in SB he in BTN. he tries to steal, i shove (like i did last time) and he tank calls. i shove there bc his stack size dictates it and it puts huge pressure on BB (he can't really call that)

so every tournament was paid for with ticket. except the rebuys, so in for like $4.70, already won a $7 ticket as well.

knock a player out in $1r, 99 > QJo AIPF. i opened in UTG, bigger than me stack calls, he shoves (he'd pulled the move3 of last 4 hands) for 1800 more. i tanked because i was deciding whether to shove over or not. i decided in the ned not to, just flat. big stack folds

just saw this. $1r says its a turbo rebuy, but it has the same blind structure as both DS's that im still in.

first AA of session. its different in MTTs, AA is teh nutz. sadly, nothing but blinds

i think i used all of my rungood in $3mtt with Q4o hand lol

just saw gross runout. A9o > ATo (not me) AIOTF T92. t 5, r 9 ewwww.

second break of $2 MTT, 74/180, less than 100 chips under avg

omg so thankful for the table change in $3 mtt. big stack 2 to my left just made it miserable

omg omg omg. i get up to use the bathroom not even in there a minute and a half and i get dealt AA at $1r and am forced to sit out. fml

i open in UTG folds to SS SB who shoves. id have to call 4070 into 5730 with 99. its so close, JJ and i probably call. i begrudgingly fold.

well see a very crummy AIPF hand (im not in it). QQ > KK > TT AIPF

need a double up and some in $3, well below average. just not catching playable cards, now with M of 5

yuck. never mind, add 50% to my stack in $2. faced another limp, i raise and they call. wtf is up with that, twice in an MTT. i turn a Q and shove over his bet and he folds. needed that

2nd break in $1r, ever since getting dealt AA while in the bathroom its been a downward spiral. slow one though. 74/139, 1.5k below avg

2nd break in $3, cant catch a hand worth a damn (and a player just regged and already has 5x the starting stack) 176/216, 7k below avg stack

closing in on the money in $2, 19 till payday but not the payday i want

i dont understand people limping with not even 20bb

lost an AIPF vs <1bb stack in BB...AQo < 86o

pfff 200/764 in $3. i couldnt get a damned thing going. knocked out by the very last entrant. SS shoves, he shoves folds to me, I see ATo and 2 AIs, one by a stack i cover and one by a brand new player and im all on it. ATo < TT < 77

ITM in $2 but need a double up

chipping up slowly, the AI shove is a powerful weapon

such a crap spot. i have AJo, bigger stack LIMPS, i have 12bb left w AJo in SB. i cant raise without shoving but im not that desperate yet. but i have to play the hand. and i cant just min raise, tats bad.

lol my gf is a patriots fan and she gets fiest sometimes. i blushed seeing what she texted me after the picked up flag holy crap

yes moved tables, skip big blind in $1r. need a double up badly

3rd break in $2, ITM 53/65, well below avg

skip both blinds! HUGGGEEEEEE

blinds about to hit in $2, need a hand bad

ugh in $2 i have 3 big stacks to my left. oops im screwed. shoved 65o and big stack calls w KK. I didn't have a chance with 9, 7, and 2 directly on my left. 63/607 for $4.24

nearing money in rebuy, need a double up too. 63 get paid, 78 left

as i type that, i get dealt AA. this time im not in the bathroom, but all fold

gunna start cooking dinner while playing since ive got 1 left

shoving two away from money w AKss. ugh busted AKss < A6o AIPF flop was 566. waiting to see if i cash.....nope. bubble boy. 64/544.

End of the session. What did I learn from an almost 4 hour session of MTTs? There is lots of money up top, but unlike cash games, you know, you can't make a move and reload. The best weapon seriously is the AIPF shove. You can turn a cash game session around as well, but you can't turn an MTT session around. Plus, there is more longevity in cash games. What happened to my BR? It increase by 7 cents. I spent 1400 or so points. And I do have a $7 MTT ticket. Since this was an actual session, I'm going to put it in the spreadsheet as well.

$2 DS $1k GTD @ 825 63/607 for $4.24
$0.70 7 after last chance @ 839 T1/31 for $7 ticket
$1 $1k GTD Turbo Rebuy (the last $1 Rebuy I played in was on FT, and I shipped that one) 901 Bubble boy, 64/544
$3 DS $2k GTD 903 200/764
$7 $2k GTD PLO Turbo SS 907 188/registration hadn't ended yet
$0.45 $500 GTD Turbo Rebuy (Because **** it) 945 Didn't let me rebuy after busting

For those who want results but don't want to read through my long post.

dammit i hate the backspace buttom, whiped out everything after bovadas stupid pop up to front feature. basically, up around a BI now after 50 minutes

had some good success 3betting and cbetting in those 3bet spots today

been calling and rasing a bit lighter this session, more aggression, like how im playing so far

yes i had much more detaled notes, but cant really write them down not remembering them

hehehehe J8 for the win!

oh yeah, remind me to show the hand where i actually tanked one street and hollywood tanked the next street, +1BI hand

table waiting is literally the only way to sit at good tables

full pot betting on an Ah9h9x f. why? either he has an A or he doesn't. i kinda missed the draw being there tho i had AdKd

holy **** first QQ+ of the session, 80 minutes in

these tables start, flare like a star, then fizzle quickly. at least AK is flopping for me

i have like 20 minutes left, just starting a 10plo table since the 25nl tables are kind of dying as soon as i get there

now 2 plo tables

well i can spot the poit pot pot donk

i promise, this commentary was much more exciting before it was deleted

wooo 4bet shoving on a SS...wtih 88 lol

wrapping session up now

This is probably the worst feeling uninteresting winning session I've ever had. After the first half hour, nothing. Whiffed flops, successful cbets, no big pots, just brutal. And I'd join a table and it would immediately die. I started at an A game, and it just deteriorated to a B game simply because I kept having to switch tables every ten minutes. Then again, my guess is that 4-6 is not the prime time to play cash games. I have to find a way to stay more focused when the CD is that bad and the tables are that bland.

Kinda have to vent a little bit here. I was looking at my fantasy football lineup (I'm only in one league) and the matchup and noticed this:

8 of my 18 players are either Questionable or on a bye this week. I even considered going without a D for a little bit. The only player I feel comfortable dropping is DMC, because, well, he sucks. And I dropped Arian Foster last week. Thankfully I'm not in desperation mode, because I clinch a playoff spot with a win in either of my next two games or 1 loss by 5th/6th place or I lose out but outscore 5th by 67 points.

(Yes, I've just dropped DMC and Pryor for...a D and a K.)

dry tables. lets try to learn something today

thinking about widening my range today. tables are just nuts or fold. im playing looser tha the average. thats saying something

wtf? just saw a guy open limp TT OTB first in and min bet the flop and bet 2bb OTT WITH A SET OF TENS!

just pulled a huge bluff BvB where i get him to fold probably QQ. SB opens, I flat w KJo. f 25J r. he pots, i call. t A. he pots again. i shove. he doesnt have an A. i know it. he wouldnt bet so aggressively. he tank folds

no fold to 3bets. ewww. limp, seeming aggro raises, i 3bet and both call. yuck,. kinda gotta give that up. the aggro showed J8s. ok, call 10% of your stack with that

more bad board run outs. open 54s in MP, 3 calls. f 45hh7x. SB donks, he's brand new. BB calls. i fast play and raise to $5. SB calls, blind folds. t 8 kljebgfaerwhillkuaesfhe. thats a x/f turn if ive ever seen one. i check, he pots once again, i have to fold. but youve always gotta fast play bottom two

listening to local sports talk radio, topic comes up, "I think of you...even after...makes it not go as quick." Yup.

badly played set, in part because i had another hand going at another table. flop set of 5s 3way, OR bets on 5xQdKd f. i need to raise this and that's my standard play. i just call instead and completely miss the guy up top still in the hand. guy up top is a nit. i missed him because i hadnt seen him play a hand all day. t 6d and he wastes no time in betting. OR calls and ive gotta call for implied odds. r 8x. super nit bets again. fold and i snap folded. i havent folded a set quicker in my life

hahaha the biggest pot ive ever won with 42o moneywise. UTG min raises and 2other callers. well, me in BB, .25 into 1.85 7.5 to 1..why not? flop a draw, miss turn, hit nut straight OTR (but there was a flush possible)

3bet a BTN opener in SB w 76s, got great flop 989sxx w BD FD and OESD. sadly, the turn was another 9.

i think i misplayed that hand. one limper, i raise w JhJx, BB ( i think he's solid) insta pot raises. folds to me. i have to call. i cant 4bet there ever, and i cant fold. f low hearts. he insta half pots. i call, and plan to shove on weakness on a good card. t another low heart. he insta half pots again. that was considered a good card by me and he didt show weakness. gotta fold

3way flopped mid set, no action

i forgot what KK looked like

two exciting blind hands, aggro opens OTB, SB 3bets, I 4bet w QQ, BTN and SB folds. two hands later, I open AKs OTB, BB 3bets, I 4bet, he flats. we check it down (i whiff as usual) and i river a K against his QQ. how he doesnt 5bet ship that idk.

closing the nit table down, with less than half an hour left ill dab in plo

hahaha been looking at the chat box and seeing this one player constantly get lucky. i finally saw it first hand. i flop two pair, he hits his straight OTR (but it was obvious)

boom. two massive pots during this final 25% of the session. 22 > JJ AI OTF 527dxd. he had Jd, turn Kd gave a sweat, but i win the 180bb pot

and then, i get KK on the table with the blind wars that have been going on, 3bet someone, they call two good bets on a 42hhQx2x board, then shove on a 2x river. i call and they show 88 (wtf?) and i win the 240 massive bb pot

wrapping session now

win a BI in Omaha on the last hand of my session, AThh86dd > AJ8cccXx AIOTR As9d6s7dKh board. He shoved river after I pot raised him OTT

#fishonaheater. But seriously. Pretty much the largest winning session of this whole challenge, thanks to spazz plays. I would like to think I set the KK one up with how much I had been playing back at both him and the aggro guy in blind situations. I played well at the beginning and I really was opening my range up a lot wider than I usually do, kind of to loosen the table up and get a better image of me than I really am. Even without those two big hands I still had a modest profit. I scaled it back towards the middle section, a lot due to just no cards (worse than the T4s I raised in CO). And I got the breaks at the end. Thankfully, I'm not really a cocky person and I know a downswing can happen at any moment (just look at July & August of this challenge), but if I keep playing well and posting in the forums and thinking, maybe I won't have to touch 10nl again.

Hi again everyone!

No, I'm not starting up another "session", but I am using my $7 ticket tonight, while simultaneously playing the smallest limit Stud game I can find. Good night for Netflix, considering I pay $8 a month and haven't watching anything on it in probably 2 months.

You'll know if there is a deep run. $2k GTD, with definite BR changing money in the top 3. But I'm gunna win this. Go us!

That tournament was bull****. I got one premium hand in AKQQds, was dealt AKQJhhhh, and then had a strange hand where I fold a wrap multiway where I'd have to commit myself. Why I folded it? There was a flush draw and betting going multiway, so not only would I have to hit my draw, I'd also have to fade another one. I think that's the right play. Sadly, I would have made the straight and the flush wouldn't have hit.

My bustout hand I had 4.5bb left with me currently on BB and a 3 way AIPF situation. Yeah, I called with AFC (any 4 cards) and it was Tx7x5h3h. I jumped for joy when I saw the Q55 flop and the 3 turn, just to see that the big stack (of course) called all these raises with Q594 and I was out. Just carddead, and that's saying something for Omaha.

I also won a BI + 2 Rebuys to the .45 45 after donkfest from playing .10 Stud Hi. Oh my god they will call you down just to see 7th street and then fold getting absurd odds.

As for the session time, I would say you're onto something. Except, ironically, my results show the exact opposite. In terms of 1 hour blocks, (I think I'm missing some hands, idk) my two largest winning hours in terms of bb/100 is actually 11am-1159am and (this one is even more surprising)

Spoiler:
9am - 959am wtf!

And then from 1p - 6p I'm winning during every hour averaging something like 7bb/100. Meanwhile, I'm actually losing from 8p on. I'm not really sure how the tables are like during the night, and my reason for not playing as much during the night is because I'm usually at work and kind of have to keep a somewhat normal sleep schedule due to it. (Also, if you haven't baked a couple cookies and drank coffee while playing COD right after it gets dark out, you're missing out). But on a serious note, I may try to play some later tonight. There are actually a ton of fish between 11am and 2pm, which was surprising to me, but I think is due to it being the Asian late night. I'll try it though, see if there are more fish than the 4p-7p shift.

Speaking of normal sleep schedules, I scheduled classes for the Spring semester yesterday. 6 classes spread 10-3 MWF and 11-230 TTh. Not a bad schedule at all for me. The one downside is going to be that poker playing will be on a premium, as school will definitely have to come first.

trying this tables being softer at night. maybe there is truth in that, we'll see

mouseslip min raise. ugh. but it nets me a decent sized pot

lol always seems like im to the right of fish

seciond straight vs nut straight.

thats a hand i think i messed up on and made the wrong move OTR/. open 22, multiway checks on AhTh9x f, 2h t I bet and get lolimadonkmincheckraised, gotta flat that. he leads out for more than pot on blank river. i tank folded, still unsure about it though

so far this is an ugly, slowww session.

well, solid value from a player calling a pfr w Q6o and two streets on a T753 board

he busted next hand and then REBOUGHT FOR 100 BIG BLINDS!

well, lose a BI on a hand i shouldnt really shove river on, but ive seen him call river shoves w 3rd pair, A8 (just hittingthe A), etc. 98dd < 22 AIOTR 96279

second flopped set. andddddd lose an AIOTF to a SS. KK < 54 AIOTF 67Kr. now wtf the SS is doing calling a pfr as the first caller w 54 i dont know, but i got the money in good. all i can do.

i cant win a hand on the far right table, as usual.

took a small break. aggression aggression aggression. except when you know someone is going t bet and bluff at you

i think thats the first ai ive won? vs SS, AQo > KJs AIPF

another AI won, AKo > AQo AIOTT TQK7 against 40bb stack

mmmm love me a taste of being carddead. havent been dealt a PP since i went on a break, half an hr ago

finally starting to get something goinh

wrapping this session up, will be so happy when its over

Oh my ****ing god thank heavens that session is over. No, I didn't lose a lot, I didn't even lose a BI. It was boring. I say this a lot. And I probably say what I'm going to say about it a lot as well. But good god give me some cards, something to work with. I saw a bunch of Q7, K2, 85...nothing I could work with. I couldn't even steal with those cards because everyone just limps at night. I can see how its profitable since players call down so light but I couldn't take advantage of it. Just a boring, awful, dragged out session. At least I did come back from the river mistake and being drawn out when all in to not lose a BI.

starting earlier than normal. supposed to go out with my friend and her single friend tonight. im almost 100% convinced she's trying to set up a blind date between us since she's single and my friend is 100% against me and my gf (and for good reason). good thing is, her friend is cute.

first hand, HU, win a better than 60bb pot with 84s. flopped a pair, turned FD, rivered flush

thats annoying, lose 80bb by first posting out of turn, which...i have wait until BB as my default, so IDK why it posted me not in BB. then i flop top and bottom and a guy limped 24o OTB to flop the nuts (i had A3o). sigh, thanks bovada crappy software

nasty, win second AI (lost first obv with rant) one pfr, two callers, i have AA in BB. hello! i raise, two folders and last caller calls. f 333 bingo. check check. t 7. check check. r 5. i make him go AI (he has ~20bb), he calls w 52o

first flopped set nets a decent pot. guy folded two pair after my turn x/r. dont know how. he thought i had KT; i had 22 on a 2QAJr board

lol ill do that for that price. 3 handed, 25bb stack opens OTB, I 3bet in BB w 66, he shoves. I'm getting 2 - 1 on a call, and the hand ranges average something around that. i call and he shows 77. i was getting the right price, bunch of Ax and Kx hands in his range that balance out the higher pp

i cant find tables., as soon as i click someone fills the empty seat

3 25nl, 1 10plo

good call down in PLO for a nice pot

boom. AA > AKo AIPF for a nice pot, 210bb

thats a hand i messed up. one opener and a fish flats OTB, i could squeeze w KTss but instead flat in SB. BB flats. f QJ4r. checks to BTN fish who bets, i decide to flat, BB lolimadonkmincheckraises. if i raise BTN, i can call a shove by him getting the proper price. instead i call his x/r and have to play it weakly vs shortstack

laugher of a hand. open big stack, i flat in CO w 97ss, BTN flats. f 56dd8x. chck, i bet, BTN min raises, fold, i reraise, he shoves, i call. bingo! except he shoves 97o, not even a BDFD, and we split

i like flopping sets. and knocking shortstacks out with them

i think im 2 - 2 - 2 now in all ins today. kinda wanna see if i can get the tie column to be more than either win or loss AIs. this one was AIOTF vs SS AKo = AKo 2AT

tried a move vs a deeper stack, not the worst thing in the world 3betting 76s IP and then flopping OESD. i didnt pull the trigger OTF though, and that cost me

im stupified by that hand. what is it with players passively playing big pairs? i open 99, two players flat. BTN is bad. f 7s6s7x. bet fold call. t 5x. my planm is to b/f, i bet he calls. r Qs. i hte that card. check check, btn shows KING KING and a little part of me dies inside

win a nice pot with AA, then lose an AI to fish guy, T9ss <QTo AIOTT T87K against SS, all while trying to huirry up and use the bathroom or get to use the bathroom. didnt realize he was that much of a station

win a great 3way AI pot in plo, KJ > AKQ > some SS AIOTT 8KJK

wrapping session up now

I played alright this session. Much more cards than last session, but not many connected flops (or they just flopped massively). Still a little peeved that Bovada likes to post your blind when you clearly have Wait for Big Blind checked in your preferences, but eh. Probably a little bit up in Hold Em, a little up in Omaha, and a decent session overall.

playing now bc obviously plan fell thru unfortunately. but its alright, io get to see if the games on friday night are super good. gotta get in as much play as i can before january 13th. ifi can get $2000 before then, a stretch, ill w/d, add money to the roll from my savings (should be ~$2k), and take on live poker with 10-15 BIs

nice flopping trips

i think i misplayed that hand, not sure though. KQo, open OTB, BB 3bets. he's fairly loose, so i flat. f 8sJsTx. he cbets. with position, i decide to call and reevaluate. t 2x and he shoves. gotta fold then

ugh, QQ < AA 1/2 stack AIOTF 8 J2

and then to a 12bb stack, 99 < JTo AIOTT 2T28.

lol i can't win at the nighttime for some reason and i always start the session in a hole

well at least indiana/uconn is gunna be a beast finish

win decent pot in BB special, flopping a small flush and getting 3 streets of value

.......when you flop trips, have your opponent outkicked, only for them to tie you with the same boat.

like i said earlier, im either completely whiffing flops or hitting them too hard

guy tilt shoves 40bb. HU, with A9cc, is this a call? how about when a 20bb calls?

i cant keep missing all of these flops, can i?

yup, get rivered. ive never been able to win at night for some reason. they just seem to run hot

this is just getting stupid.

i cant flop a pair or hit a draw, but i can sure flop two pair or trips. and i cant cbet when i miss because these players are calling stations

ATo < 77 AIOTR 49922 BvB vs under 40bb stack.

someone flops top two BvB and gets afraid when you bet OTT. why i cant win friday nights

dammit i get KK, two callers. first is whale, second is nit. f T42r. check, i bet...whale folds and nit check raises. i wanted whale to raise and nit to fold. i cant fold to 1 raise, so i call. t 4. great card. he leads out. looks bad. but the 4 takes out the 44 sets. i call again., r 6 and he shoves. hes a ****ing nit and he just x/r and bet turn and river. he's not doing it with JJ or QQ, it's a set or AA everytime

yeah, i quit. hey, flop a set and 3rd nuts! what? youre gunna give the fish the flopped nuts? ok, that works.

win a nice pot while wrapping session up. flop a pair (BB isn't good and OR is worse), turn trips. should have flatted the turn bet, but it seemed like they wanted to get it in and i had KQo on 49KKdxxd board.

I could never win Friday nights on Full Tilt. Or Pokerstars. Or Everleaf. The trend continues on Bovada oh my god. I wasn't card dead. It was a lot of not cbetting flops (or cbetting flops and them being called) because I didn't really flop much of anything. I was aggressive though and didn't really change my game from what I usually play. Flopping a set against a fish who flopped a straight (I had 99, the flop was T96 with a flush draw, he had 87), having the table nit play back at you instead of the whale, getting QQ against a half stack....I probably made a couple of questionable plays, but that's just stuff that's out of my control. Of course I'm going to get the money in with QQ overpair against a half stack. Of course I'm going to get the money in with the 3rd nuts and so many draws. These are just things that happen that you can't control. And for how frustrating this session was, I didn't tilt. I don't tilt. If I had tilted, I would have called that nit's shove OTR. I would have started playing absolute trash because I saw the donkeys hit. But I didn't, I kept on my game and in the end, I think being able to manage that and not tilt will make me better than most players.

Competitive edge. Competitiveness is what drives me. When I golf with my buddies, they're massively better than I, but I still compete with them. I treat Fantasy Football as if I was in the NFL myself. And I get that direct competitiveness in poker. I want to win in the long haul, not just over one hand or one orbit. As you guys know, this competitive streak in me has done miraculous things in my life. I increased my plateaued chess rating 60% because of it. I went from never picking up a tennis racket to playing varsity in 2 months. I started as a lowly cashier and quickly ascended in the company I work for. I want to do the same with poker. I want to win. Money is secondary.

You guys like graphs. People in general like things that show statistic where you don't have to read anything. So I'll oblige. This graph is from the start of the month until 1159pm EST November 20th (I have yet to download the hands for the 21st and 22nd, but it'll take a little bit of a plunge). Does not include any Omaha hands I've played in or any MTT profits (roughly $30)

talked myself into a small session because why not?

well thats a nice pot to win. brand new player opens with a pot UTG, fish flats and SS flats. I have AQdd and decide (the fish had 80bb; others 40 or less) to squeeze. fold, fish flats and SS shoves. lol i reshove and fish folds. AQdd > 55 AIPF Q4426

kinda bland so far, got to showdown stealing with K4s at a table so gotta tighten that range up

flop top two in a raised pot by a fish 4 way...and it checks around to complete a straight and flush with Ac. yeah, he had the almighty 59s and didnt cbet like he usually does

brand new table first hand gets aces lets see how this goes. nope, folds

this internet right now is just sooooo laggy

3bet pot flop top set and nothing

ugh everything is lagging now....seems like just a good time to end the session

So I'm not sure if this is going to go up or not, but utterly useless session. It was slow and laggy after the first ten minutes, probably because of a bad internet connection. I can't even judge my play because of the lag and disconnectons the whole time. So yeah, it just seems like, for some reason, I can't play at night, whether it be bad play, not being able to adjust to the loose-passive tables, or lag.
