Sorry to hear, hope you get better

I'm curious to hear how come you went for CFP rather than hourly, considering your monthly EV? You've probably effectively paid $30k or so for past 3 months of coaching, which could've yield 20-30 hours from a hsnl coach which I doubt you've gotten anything near. Does the whole community environment, video library, chats etc, justify the big gap between the amount of hour you could've gotten? I'm in similar spot to u pre-cfp so interesting to hear ur thoughts

When i first joined i was obviously never expecting these kind of results on this sample. I was planning to play 500nl for the first two months and maybe start mixing in some 1k after if things are going ok. If i won 30k$ by now i would have been very happy.

So i dont think i should be looking back 3 months into it thinking "oh i have overpaid" because its extremely likely this sample in an alternative reality would have been winning some at 500 and then just getting slapped hard at 1k like i did in january and there would be 0 profit and ive significantly underpaid for the coaching. So i dont think its right to do a direct comparison on this sample where ive ran hot. Some people will overpay for coaching in a c4p, some will end up underpaying. But its fine margins (possibly out of your control, lolvariance) between which one you would fall into. Without mentioning names or giving anything away im pretty sure there is a recent guy who significantly underpaid, got a **** ton of coaching, and then just went onto crush a lot of the games as soon as when his contract ended.

And then for me personally, i think the video library, hh reply chats, group coaching, plasticelephant/ymb often streaming hands he wants to go over, is more valuable than the direct 1on1 coaching. That isn't because theyre bad coaches, theyre amazing, (again 10/10 would recommend) but given my previous post how i say i get bad mindblock and things, it just makes the 1on1 learning not good for me. I guess if theres such a thing, im more a passive learner where i can just sit back and learn in my own time than being active and directly involved. Again, that isnt a knock on their coaching style, just different people learn in different ways i guess and im sure theres people who value the 1on1 coaching more than the other way of learning. So looking back, being in a c4p is better for me than direct paying a guy for coaching.

I would just message a bunch of c4p. Check out their deals, check out what kinda content they offer, look at the track records of students and just decide for yourself (and then join bitb after looking at them ). I think the #1 thing also is to check if they do rolling profits so u dont cap yourself from moving up stakes.

so last month was pretty **** for me in real life, probably like 2/10. This month much better, 7/10. would have been higher if i didnt end up binge drinking for 3 days in a row where by the end i just had one too many drinks on a night out and just crossed that line of being a fun drunken night to a huge drunken depressive insecure mess lol Just too many days in a row drinking got to me in that mental state. Felt awful for a few days. So no binge drinking next month unless england win the euros

started tracking "productive" things i do everyday, try to aim for 5 things everyday. Definitely helped with life improvement tracking stuff at beginning of the month. Things went a bit shitty with tracking due to euros ruining my productivity but owel. Think volume/productivity will always be low for me when football tourny is on like this. Fks my sleeping pattern up and just too many games on. so wont complain about my lack of volume too much. Got rid of some time-sink things, like no more warzone, chess and left some discord groups (sucks because actual fun poker-group but just wasted way too much time in there, especially in some of the spin-off groups). In terms of poker, well its a little frustrating. Good i didnt lose but it was just close to a repeat of last month. Start of very well and then just bleed all my winnings at ignition. The lack of run it twice can make the site brutal at times when going through a semi-tough period. Last few days just went **** so will call it today. Still got very good results over the last 4 months so i wont complain about this 4fig month

next month im going to try check results only twice. the way the last two months have gone i feel like i might be punting the day after i win. very swingy two months

also.
Spoiler:
its comminggg hommeeeee

I think ive improved yeh. Maybe the coaches was being nice but i dont think my game was too horrible to begin with. Ive posted many times before about how i kept tilting over silly things and breaking my mouse which is something i never show in any other areas of my life (im quite quiet and calm) but i havent done that since day1 of bitb. I guess its just confidence you get from seeing what sickos do, see that theyre making mistakes too, and it just removes the self-doubt if what youre doing is correct or not. Ive been pretty solo in the poker world for the past 4 years so there was constant "am i doing the actual right things or not" and thats the biggest improvement i think i get from being in bitb tbh. Im still the biggest mental game fish there is out there though.

so calling my month. I need a break. was on for an insane month and was up 60k. As soon as i posted my graph in a discord group everything changed (never brag about your months midway) and just ended up getting smacked around past couple days non-stop so i want to take a break and not ruin my month like last month. Pretty dumb quitting months to ensure you book a winning one but whatever. Telling myself i wouldn't be checking results epicly failed the past week

Total is 36k$+ Im very happy and disappointed at same time. Month got killed by the Hu hands when table broke. No idea what im doing hu.

Missing the first 4days and WPN hands: ,,, obligatory "fk iggy". Im moving off ignition from now on. Cant do anon poker

Redline tanked, could be runbad or just played bad. had 34% wtsd this month, got to start folding more. Some absurd terrible call downs lol. blocker to valuerange = snap with everything.

So i was unsure whether to play 2knl this month and then a week later i found myself 3handed trying to battle gale lol Not the smartest. could feel he had it when he called the turn.

I had like 98o flop was 774tt BvB. Sb checks, I bet 3/4, he raises, I basically 2x and he jams

What do you guys think should be an acceptable amount to pay for rent per month? Someone with my results being 1k - 2k reg

I'm currently paying 1k$ pm but would like to upgrade. Don't know if that's burning money though. How much becomes too much?

Living cost probably average 2.5k$-3k$ including rent. My current contract ends in 2 months (Posted a pic or two before in this around June last year) But I just want something more and better. It's approx 20$ per square meter in nice areas of manila.

Whatever you are comfortable with spending/savings wise I imagine should be the main consideration - presumably you have a chunk of money saved up at this point so losing stretches won't stress you out living expenses wise if you upgrade and had a breakeven or losing stretch; Happiness / confidence EV of living in a place that you really like seems worth it
