To make money gambling, all bets need to be as +EV as possible.
Casino games (baccarat, Blackjack, etc) are all -EV to the player, +EV to the casino. Over the course of millions of hands, average is hit and the casino wins money. Casinos actually make more than the EV of GTO play by gamblers because instead of sticking to optimal strategies, they do dumb things (e.g. Casino take on blackjack approaches 30%).

Now, if what you're looking at is small ways to make money that are not grinding more poker (why not do more cash play, instead of pit games?), you could look at different investing strategies, or simply sticking to sports and poker and looking at improving your game.

Every time I tried to check the file on onedrive, it seems to be set not to be there.

This statement is completely false.

True. That's why don't you play millions of hands against the casino.

OP don't give in to hate!!!

Errors are information. You will learn a lot (at a price) for keeping it up!

Learn from the haters though...

Appropriate statistical play in a -EV high Variance game is basically to play as few hands for as much as possible. Outside of course not playing (which I advocate). Gives Variance a chance to help you as much as possible.

For games that are +EV, you could overlay some BRM (and value EV vs variance) but the general principal is to play the most EV game possible as often as possible:

The above is all true but you need to weigh risks as well as the EV ness of a bet.

For example you can take he max EV line but if you cannot stomach the losses is it actually a good bet? No

OP can you tell us some cool navy stories

I'm going to start challenging nba players to one on one games so long as they allow me to pick and choose when to quit. Figure they'll lay me some odds and I'll hit and run those little bitches to the poor house. Not going to play Lebron to 100 he'd obviously kill me but if we play to five I'm sure to get rich imo.

#mathandnumbers
#safronchicken

P.S. If I ever hit a bad run I'll just play 20 X's my normal stake in a game to one.

Even money says most college level players couldn't score a single point on LeBron if he actually tries

OP I'm sure others have asked this already but in what way is your strategy different from martingaling? Also why is playing for short periods multiple times in the same -EV games different from one long session in those games (outside of situations when they become +EV due to card counting or what have you)?

You're not the first to ask this. But I'm confused why this question keeps being asked. What in my strategy shows the Martingale strategy being used? All i have shown is i deposit low, withdraw high...and repeat the process...i don't double down on my deposits if i lose...When I'm playing poker and betting sports...i wager the amount i feel like at that given time...it's not like i lose a certain amount and then bet double to win back....which is what i thought the martingale system was...Unless im the only one who thinks that.

When you're stuck on the day and playing a sit n go at 20X your normal stake to get even you might be a martingaler.

I just think it's funny you think there's something original about what you're doing. Fully support the situation over-all.

Heavily depends on the format. Game to 20, loser outs, shoot a ft on a foul...still like your chances?

What game of 1-on-1 ever has free throws?!?save that 1 specific rule, yeah, LeBron crushes most of the field without them ever scoring a point.

There are ~4500 D1 college players and maybe 200 at any given time are good enough to even attempt to make an NBA squad, and many of them are end of bench players. Couple that info with I said college, not specifying D1 or D3, how many players do you think are in all of college basketball? 15k? 20k? Yet the NBA potential is roughly the same # of players.

I was pretty sure you were including D3. I know a guy that played D2 and I feel that's a pretty low level. I don't even have a clue of the talent level at D3 or NAIA or NCCAA or USCAA so it's pointless arguing. I do have friends that played JUCO ball though and they could score points on Lebron. No doubt in my mind about that. (on a side note, one of those JUCO players was on the puerto rico team that blew out the "dream team" in the 2004 olympics which included Lebron James)

If Lebron is allowed to tackle guys without them getting a foul shot yeah I agree he's enough of a beast to prevent them from getting a shot off...your point?
