Hi! I am new to 2+2! Like everyone else, for the new year, I have started a PG & C thread so I could stay on track.

Background

I'm 19 years old from Canada and I want to dedicate full time to poker.

Games: I am currently playing Zoom 50NL FR.

Year Goals

[ ] Beat 50NL
[ ] Beat 100NL
[ ] 1M+ hands
[ ] Acheive Supernova
[ ] 300k+ VPP's

I will also post goals for each month

As for HH's, I will try and post at least 3 interesting hands a day. Please feel free to provide input on my play. Hopefully we can all benefit from it and improve!

Graphs will be uploaded on a weekly basis.

Fellow 2+2'ers who are also playing around the same stake, playing zoom, and are looking for study buddies, you're welcome to send PM for skype names.

If you have questions at any time, just ask away!

Had two very long grind sessions after I started my thread. The first one didn't go so well and just mainly broke even for 15k hands (actually down 4 bi but EV is even). Then the second one I really just started off the session playing terrible (peak down of -9bi) but eventually I grinded through it for 14k hands and ended day off being up 4 bi (peak of +8bi).

It was pretty bad and long two days, I know. I think I have found my form though so we will see how I do in the long run (next week or so).

Here is couple hands that happened.

The guy is super tight from UTG (prf of 7% from this position and a C/R of 8%). The way he played it was definitely a set of some sort. Could there possibly be a fold on that kind of board? I dont really beat much and hes not very aggressive usually either so when he shows aggression like that its almost always top set? also with 7% I dont think hes even playing small pairs in his UTG range.

For this hand, is there another way to play it? the guy is extremely loose (plays a vpip/pfr of 34/29 but over a small sample of like 200 hands). Looking back I think I should've donked turn as well because he could as easily just check back for a free card. Or, I could control pot and just c/c turn, to hopefully boat up on river. Any thoughts?

That's it for now. I am spending all of today just improving my game by watching videos + reading some books (mental game). Also thinking about subscribing to a training website, any suggestions? Some people are recommending CardRunners, Leggopoker, and Deucescracked. Are there any more out there or are these ones the best recommended?

GL on everyone's grinds and I will post again soon!

Hi everyone! Since my last post i've been grinding away at the games. I've also been improving my game by reviewing couple of hands after each day but I need to start reviewing after EACH session.

Here are my results for the week after my last post

Also, I've been wondering if anyone playing the same game as me would like to talk strat (through skype or 2+2 PM). I would like to know how other regs at my stake are doing and also we both might learn something from the interaction.

Here are a couple hands up for discussion.

Mid set no good? What kind of range would you guys put him on? a 11/9 reg over 8.5k hands with a 3bet in bb of 3.5%. I havent actually had many battles with this guy since he plays pretty tight and havent seen him get out of line with any plays. I was just thinking...is it highly possible he would only get it in with top set in this situation? What about twopairs or a missed draw? Any input would be nice!

For the past week, I did not grind much, just played about 24 hours. This is because I have been on my first downswing (dropped about 16 bi in one day) and did not feel comfortable playing as I was mentally unprepared to grind. I worked on a little bit of my game (by continue reading strat books and mental game). I will be bringing my volume up for this following week.

Here is a graph of my last 7 days.

No one discusses hand histories on this thread, so I will post it on the microstakes FR section of 2+2.

          Gl everyone.

Hey everyone, February hasn't been a good month for me (in terms of posts on 2+2). However, I have been steadily grinding and putting in some time (couple hours to a day a week) improving my game. I think I will try out some SH tables this upcoming week or two and try to get a good feel for it. Also, I am at 50k VPP's for this year! Almost at supernova (kinda slow eh lol), so I cant wait for that!

          Since last update:
