Long day 3 different casinos but only 2.5-3 hourish sessions at each. Wake up super early head to MGM. Get in on an over night game big stacks big pots I'm like finally a chance to make money. But unfortunately we did pick up any cards and the one hand we get kings we 3 bet to 50 after the usually suspects raise to 15 and call in early position then just two seats down an elderly man 4 bets to 125. everyone else folds to me, we have an easy decision, snack muck, shout out to the nits. I show him to try to get a Teddy Kgb rage reaction. But all he says is "you know long term that's a bad fold" Im proud of that fold its the first time I think I've done it in that spot. I've done it with Queens twice semi recently but just incase any one wasn't sure he did later confirm aces. . Oh yeah the Players and the atmosphere at the game was fantastic it was really good playing there. But everyone was also leaving cause one guy was winning all their money, I go out for a lunch with a player I met at Red Rocks. I had a bunch of cash on me and at one point he pulled out his gun and he's complete stranger in a foreign city so naturally I was worried something was gonna go down, but no turns out he's a great guy just wanted to show me his pistol. And that's not a euphemism (I like the ladies) then I go to Red Rocks to play 1/3 all the tables are chocked full of nit regs for the 3rd night in a row, And I try to force action and punt 300 bluffing into kq on a k10754 board with 89 after she bets two streets oop and checks river I almost obligated to go for it and she was drinking and seemed kinda weak. But she tank called so I left to rebuy 300 short stack at 2/5 where the average stack was like 1500. Win a flip with jacks vs ak and flop a flush with 86 diamonds vs Adk on a king high board. he limped pre flop. 6 callers 30 in middle, he's first to act bets like 30 everyone folds i smooth. turn brick as in board doesnt pair. he bets 80 I flat. river brick. he checks I quickly check. My logic behind this is his range is uncapped in a no raise pot leading out. but as I write this now checking is kinda weak but it could be trappy I don't know. I was kinda tilted from 1/2 and just wanted to book a win. so I made 392 there pretty quickly and then left as the game started breaking for dinner time. It didn't break but people leaving and I wanted to play 1/2 anyways. And it wasn't that great of a game. So I went to Golden Nugget and thats when things got good. in the last 3 days 1/2 no one was folding to double barrels and always hitting rivers or reraising me or calling me it was brutal I thought it would never end and questioned whether I could ever win again. But here I was taking initiative by playing agressively and opening with a wider range. taking down several pots without showdown. Things were like the good ol' days again. anyways this guy beside me shoved a turned 108 straight on a 9776 turn and got snapped by 97 so he was tilted rebought for 300. 300$ effective stacks he raises 15 I got kq hearts call a couple more callers. Flop KQ4 checks to him he goes 45 I call everyone else folds turn brick he goes 100 I reraise another hundred he snaps with ak no ace on river we scoop 650 pot. but then I get a10 limp is 6 ways flop 10106 last to act young asian grinder bets 11 I call everyone else folds turn 3 so an effective brick he goes 25. there are two hearts on flop. I call to rep a flush draw river brick 2. I check he goes 150 which is way over pot. I'm like yes he has a 1o with a worse kicker and snap faster than a laser beam he shows 3's wow brutal I even though raising flop but maybe a heart turn would slow me down and no reason to kick out draws or 10's with worse kickers. another hand I have KQ vs AQ 165 effective all in pre and runout was kqxxx. oh yeah another one I flop an open ended straight flush draw on 532 two diamonds so top pair also. buddy bets 25 flop me and one other call. 100 turn fold to me I'm getting 3-1 on a call and I say **** I call. river is a 9 of clubs. 74 yr old man bluffs 66 in that spot I checked river. so I donated back on some hands. but one sick hand was three betting 86 spades to 35 from 12 just because this young guy from Florida (initial raiser) seemed kinda week so why not. heads up to the flop he had 54 clubs. flop j85 two clubs one spade. he checks I go 65 just because I feel like the 8 is good and if he has overs I'm hoping he folds but he tank shoves and I snap call. turn spade river brick we scoop a 600$ pot and walk out in 2 hours up 745. So pretty legit day.
