Today is Friday night and I am starting a blog today, just to keep me going over hands and not being lazy.

So far these last two months have been hell, I have lost around ~$22,000 (+$8k in opportunity cost which i would have won playing NL) in live PLO (so approx $30k), which is depressing as hell as I have not one a pot over $1000. However, I feel i have a big edge in all these game. Every pot I am ahead I split, every one I am behind I lose for example this was a most recent hand for around $12k pot. All in on the flop run it twice and lose. These games were from 10/20/40 and 5/10/20 uncapped games. The last game of PLO I was so tilted and probably gave away like $3k. Ive also lost AAxx 4 times, each i got like 70% of my stack in pre.

Qs Qd 8s 9d93.78% 7690
7h 7c Ah 3d6.22% 510

Lose to back door hearts.

This big loss has destroyed my bankroll and now i am going to go back to 2/4 N/L and (1/2/5 PLO when it runs which I will short stack-with stop loss). I am content grinding out ~$40 an hour for some pocket change and given up all aspirations of playing professionally. (which could be a good thing). I will still be aiming to play ~40 hours a week, while I am at university next year. Stop loss of $1200

Hours: Monday-Thursday (Maybe friday) 2pm onwards.
Friday Saturday 8pm-Morning
Sunday Off

I am also wanting to play Sunday tournaments on Stars, which after seeing some hands and strategy in this thread, hopefully I can get a backer willing to split the buy ins 50/50.

Bank roll 1/11/2013 $0 (note this is not actually money I have available, but just going to start from $0 to keep everything neat)

Short term goal is to put in 350 hours before the end of the year. [ ]

Today was very uneventful, I 3 bet a fish to iso 4 times and got called multiway each time and had to check fold each flop. Table was super good, biggest fish in the room cashed out 4k plus. Don't recall playing a pot larger than $200 today.

Id say I played 6/10. Did not concentrate at all on what was happening during the game and missed quite a lot of action. Also spent too long talking to people in the room when I first arrived, instead of going to the table and playing-(IE taking it more seriously-like a job). However, the hands I was involved in I feel I played very well.

Next session:
I want to try to implement, whenever I am in the HJ, CO, and possibly M, to look left and see if the players are going to fold and if so, start raising any two cards.
Also try to concentrate more, when I am not in the hand

1 hand I ($400) open for $15 in middle position with 8d5d, fish ($220)makes it $35 from CO, Both blinds call. Pot ($140)
Board JdTc9d
Co Bets $80, both blinds fold.
I felt I needed approximately 30% equity to call, which I felt I did against his range so I just shoved expecting the remainder of his stack ~$100 to call.

Doing the maths my shove was correct:

He had JJ and won the pot. Argument could be made for not being in the pot at all, however a lot of fish were at the table. With the big fish cold calling the $35, who was the main target for me to win from.

Random Thoughts:
The regulars at my casino all seem evenly matched, like myself I feel that we have all got to the point where we can win consistently that we forget about learning and stop studying. I want to be the best reg, not just of a similar standard to all the other good players. I think to do this I need to spend much more time analyzing my play.

End of the year (2 months):
Short term goal is to put in 350 hours before the end of the year. []
No cigarettes []
Or drinking alcohol or drugs []
No spending money on food or drink at the casino []
Meditate 10 minutes daily before playing []

Time played: 1.30am-7am
Game 2/4 NL
Day Saturday night
Lose (450)
Total hours 5.5 hours
Bankroll (450)

For some reason I feel this blog will help me take my poker to the next level, especially doing in depth hand analysis, which to be honest i have never done before. Next session will be Monday morning 5/6 am or 2pm onwards for around 8 hours. Really looking forward to it. Today (Sunday) will be spent studying 2 videos on Run it once.

Anyway this is the end of the update today as i took a Xanax and I am starting to ramble. Also prescription drugs do not count in my short term goal. Only Weed, MDMA and Ice is what I will refrain from taking in, with my main concern being to especially not do Ice recreationaly even if being given it free by mates.
