So where do we begin...i guess the typical story we have heard time and time again on here.

(side note, im on my crappy laptop where my letter i barely works, forgive the minor spelling mistakes :P)

I started poker around 2012 when a buddy introduced me,i sat at casino du lac lemay (Ottawa Ontario) with 200$ and flopped top 2 pair on my first hand!

Naturally I didnt notice the obvious flush draw out there and lost 200$ my first hand! yay! ...lol

I have played various stakes over the years, mostly live cash 1/2 nlh games at playground and gatineau.

Live, i have won approx 15-20k over the years, cashing in around 65% of tournaments played. Some notables- 100$ win the button- 7th for 800+
several super shallow 80$ turbo tournaments, 2 first place finishes, 3 seconds

2nd at a $60 turbo recently at playground for 1100$

Online however is another story...I fell into the typical degen lifestyle...lose a little and go chase...

Or online live roulette....christ...such bad decisions lol

I was doing quite well at 50/50's on stars for some time, itm of around 68%, however playing for a few bucks seemed like a waste of time...how stupid i was.

I would find myself playing well above my skill and bankroll level...even trying 3/6 for some time. It escalated in a hand where I flopped a boat, and the guy shoved into me and hit runner runner quads (-$850usd).

That hand, combined to my hilarious knockout on the 10mill sunday anniv earlier this year, where i was streaming for friends, got pocket aces with around 18bbs, a russian shoves for 420 more chips than me, before calling i type in the chat

"watch him hit the river"

he shows 10 10.... sure enough, 10 on river.

Ive essentially stopped playing online since then...working on myself and studying.

So here I am, looking to start back up again, this time, keep myself in check.

I am starting with a few live tournaments in Montreal, playing the 100k guaranteed tonight at 7pm...im 0-3 in this tournament the past few years...card dead last year, year before lost kings vs 9's, and year before lost my aces vs k10

anyhoo, playing tonight, then tomorrow is day 2 (if i survive) as well as a $220 crazy pineapple tournament...get dealt 3 cards, see flop, discard one card...plus 50$ bounties!

Next friday is their big main event, 109$ 500k gtd.

Starting mid September i will begin playing online again, starting with a 1k bankroll (canadian) i will limit myself to tournaments 11$ and below, as well as various types of sng's (game id consider my best)

My realistic goal is to make 100$ profit a week...thats it, 100$ a week and im happy. This should limit my eventual tilt, and its an extremely realistic goal.

Ill update this at least once a week, and hopefully by the new year have pushed myself to be better and move up in stakes.

side notes- I work 2 jobs, decent income, 29, live in Ottawa.
Semi professional retired gamer (starcraft 2, command and conquer)
