I'm assuming if I just used PT4 full time I wouldn't have issues, but I don't want to switch over to it and it seems like importing them over from HM2 is going to lead to incorrect results. Not sure if you or anyone else has any help for me on this, but would appreciate any tips!
Yeah you need to import raw HHs, not from HM2. And always wait for the tournament detection to finish. Graphs look nice!

Just looking for a format that I can get into, build a roll and see where I can go
Hard question to answer as the future of most formats of online poker doesn't look super great heh. But I think it's an okay option for sure. Still decent enough traffic at all stakes through the midstakes ($100s) whereas like 9man turbos, 18man turbos, 6max turbos etc only really run up to $30 stakes and pretty slow traffic at higher than that.

Cash always an option too as it can help you transfer over to live poker if that was something you were interested in.

Yea learned that one the hard way hehe. Graphs are getting even better, hopefully you're crushing as well

Just a quick update before getting back to running some sims and then going to bed. Big day of volume today. Started by playing my first hyper sat + mtt session on a non sunday in over a month. Grinded ~5 hours there, Bounty 44 through Hot 109 timeslot. From there I switched over and played about 250 games of 25bb sko and normal 25bb. Felt really nice putting in a big day of volume even though the results didn't go my way!

Tomorrow I will be doing a TON of studying. First up will SKO and 25bb study followed by a short session or 2 of those games. After finishing up there I have about 300 6m/16m hyper sat spots to get through. Plan to grind the same sat timeslot on Thurs so I can mark a bunch more spots and be playing as well as I can for the start of Winter Festival on Sunday.

Day graph

Games were super gross everywhere today. 25bb we had 5 regs open sitting at 100 sko/100 25bb/200 25bb/300 25bb/some 50 sko and 60 25bb. Got some pure 6reg games off too which was pretty lolz

So yea, given that I do 0 table selection and games are mostly always 4 regs with some spurts of 5regs (or worse!) and once in a while getting 3rec games, and I'm quite happy with the results I'm putting up considering I'm getting better at both formats every day.

$100 SKOs

$50 SKOs

Gla on the grind

Thanks for that, I've never really gotten into cash, although I'm definitely considering it, but slightly leaning towards sng for now at least

GLGL with whatever you end up grinding

Been super super busy and it will not be slowing down just yet as the Winter Series is of course still running. Just going to pop in for a super quick update.

Winter series LS-MS sats have been going very well. Haven't had any panic attacks as I've been keeping my table count in check, mostly 14-17 tabling and rarely going over 20 and only for very very short amounts of time. The higher stakes and MTTs have been treating me poorly but small sample of course and therefore can't control the results that much.

Have been playing a bit of 25bb and SKOs at night as well to keep those ranges sharp. Results haven't been great at them but I'm excited to see what I can do once I'm grinding them full time (minus Sunday) once the Winter Series is over. Probably will give it until the end of Feb or Mar so I can put in a good sized sample and see how my results are in order to decide if that grind is better or if I should revert to the pure sat+mtt grind with a bit of 200+ 25bb.

Here's a couple of graphs from the Winter Series. I will be waiting to make a big end of challenge post with heaps of graphs + EV graphs etc at the end of the Winter Series. I'll have to get all my HHs into 1 DB which will take probably a day or so as I probably played ~4million hands this year or something ridiculous

In my personal life, a friend of mine introduced me to one of her friends. This girl is an English teacher at a colegio here in Playas de Tijuana and is also a ballerina and a ballet instructor. Really great, nice, well educated and quite the normal girl and I'm enjoying getting to know her. We'll be spending NYE together and it will be the first time she'll be meeting some of my friends as LBBigSlickAK and his GF are hosting a NYE party at their place and we'll will be making an appearance. Definitely planning on arriving early and getting out early (well before 12am) as I will have to be on the grind by 7AM at the latest on morning of the 1st

Few pics, I've been in pain just seeing some of her ballet positions

About to go get outside for a bit of fresh air and then come back and hit the study grind for a bit before passing out. Am definitely feeling a bit fatigued, old man can't grind the same way he used to be able to

GLA on the tables and Happy New Year if I don't make another post before then!

Grats on the year, very disappointing volume wise (just kidding!), kept up with this thread for pretty much the whole year. Interesting read as always... hope you had a feliz navidad & have a happy New Year.

Hope you crush 2019 too!

Looking forward to the next thread if you start one, peaceeeeee

I played something like 1800ish hours on the year. Probably far fewer than many people would think. I get a LOT of games/hour most of the time that I'm grinding

Thanks much, yea that's another reason I'd love to end up realizing I EV more at the 25bb and 25bb SKOs as it's way better for life balance and for my health. Can take breaks to get outside, do quick workouts, stretch out legs etc which is way better than being stuck for 6-14 hours at a time without being able to do anything but stand my desk up.

Gl in 2019 as well, am reading your thread

So, I'm popping in here really quickly to mainly ask a question....should I just continue using this thread or should I create a new thread for 2019? I've usually created a new thread, but in the past I have used a thread for 2 years. I'm thinking if I do make a new thread for 2019, it's going to be the *last* thread; as in, I'll structure the OP in a way where it's super detailed and then if I continued on blogging in 2020, I'd just have the OP edited with links to the 2019 wrap up and whatnot. Not sure if anyone has any thoughts, I'm kind of torn between the 2 options heh!

Can tell I'm getting a bit old. I ended up taking today off of the sat+winter series grind as I wanted to be able to sleep in and rest up for the weekend. This is something I remember Jorj95 always did. He basically took every Friday off during every series to rest up and I'm now starting to understand why . I was actually talking to B3rtstare the other day and I hadn't realized this, but I'm now the longest standing reg at hyper sats + HS 25bb. I'm officially the old man (at 27 years of age , though I'm feeling like a grandpa these days ) of my formats. I'm sure some of the grinders are older than I am, but yea, haven't been around as many years grinding those same games + stakes.

So yea, besides wanting to rest up, my chica is super super busy and today was the only chance we're going to have to see each other before she starts back with school + dance academy on Monday, at which point it'll be even tougher to see each other heh. So we're meeting up for lunch and to hangout for a bit this afternoon before she returns to Tijuana for her dentist appointment at 5pm and I'll come back and hit the 25bb + SKO grind tonight on PS until the games die. Might also add some 200nl on Bovada in as I'm now set up with Ignition Card Catcher and have a working HUD on reg tables.

2019 hasn't been off to the hottest start, but luckily we're only 4 days in! Hopefully it will be a big weekend and I'll have some nice news to post after the Sunday grind

I have finally put all HHs into a DB and I plan on Monday or Tuesday to write up the huge wrap up post that includes tons of graphs and information etc. Here is a little spoiler, dem 6m hyper sats

GLA on the grind this weekend

No major reason to move threads imo, but if you do it seems like a good plan for you to just have a more general intro with links to past threads and then not have to start a new one again. Think I might start a pgc again this year, nice to be able to look back and read imo. Gl 2019 mr old withered sng reg!
01-04-2019 , 06:53 PM
Can you(allowed to) change the title of this thread ? if so maybe that option. GL for 2019!!!

Gl for 2019. Cheers to an epic year on the tables.
