About the adjustable-height desk, do you actually spend a lot of your computer time standing?

I'm interested in purchasing one of these but I'm not sure if I would actually like working while standing.

Would be a bummer to buy one and end up using it in sitting position all the time.

I think we simply slightly misunderstood each other. I though you we straying close to "meal skipping" or replacing it with water as some sort of diet plan that's all. Anyway, you are probably much more qualified in this matter as me as I have no qualifications in health or exercise. Just a passion for me and it is certainly true a lot of misnomers appear to be repeat offenders.

Water FTW
Nah not replacing, and. Agree, i think there was a simple misunderstanding.

Drinking water instead of snacking is an easy change for people to make. And water is something people with bad habits do not do enough of, and it's almost universal. They have a constant desire that they need to keep replenishing thier feeling of fullness and water does that at 0 calories.

Also for some they simply have an oral fixation which gum and water can handle.

@Whole health discussion def agree that hardly anybody drinks enough water, I am probably closer than most ppl (I fill up and drink my 32oz sport bottle probably 3x a day on avg), but definitely should be cutting out some of the soda I've been drinking and replacing with water, which is what I plan to do in 2016

It takes a bit of getting used to, but now I can grind just as well standing up as I can sitting down. I got lazy for a while, but yea, I do use it a ton overall. Probably stand about 25% of the time I'm grinding at this point, going to try to get it up to 50-66%.

Been a hellacious couple of days . Plane was delayed about 4 hours yesterday and my new desktop doesn't work, and I've been having freeze issues with my current grind comp, so literally sitting here unable to play poker with the clock ticking on the 102k vpps I still need to get.

Pretty frustrating, but I've remained quite calm as I told myself I was done getting upset at anything anymore. I'm a pretty laxxed bro overall, always going w the flow, super duper rarely flustered/upset, but want to cut any negativity out completely....this has been a good test and I've passed so far .

Have a computer tech on his way to my house right now, he's gonna try to get this laptop with the freeze issues fixed first and then will start ****ing with the desktop, let's hope I will be able to grind tomorrow on one of the computers!

Ruse is nice enough to let me have his grind comp while he's in the US if my **** isn't fixed by tomorrow though (he leaves tomorrow), so at least I will be able to do some grinding.

Hopefully have some better news in my next update! Gla out there

Edit: Oh yea, both internet lines been out too lol, have one of the companies on their way out here this afternoon though so hopefully it will be fixed

Hey man,

It's great you're being mindful about your health. I've been playing standing up for most of my sessions now. Knowing how bad sitting is for your really deters you from doing it too often. One thing I would recommend is learning how to stand (lol, I know that sounds ridiculous). Mostly everyone stand or sit incorrectly, they have bad posture which leads to leakage and tension. You want to have your spine that is both braced and straight at all times. This takes practice but once you learn how to do this, you will be much less fatigued standing up. Here's a book I've been reading that is at the cutting edge of human posture and movement:

http://www.amazon.com/Becoming-Suppl...supple+leopard

Think of it this way. People get injured because of traumatic incidents. They twist their ankle playing a sport or they hurt their back lifting something heavy. What's not known is that these traumatic incidents are not really the fundamental cause of injuries, but rather bad posture and movement habits that happen a million times a day. People don't lose their bankrolls playing hypers because they go a huge unlucky streak, they lose because they give up small edges a million times over a course of a period. If your fundamentals are incorrect, you position yourself to lose in the long run.

Anyway, good luck with everything, hopefully Stars changes don't hit you too hard.

Nice will have to check that book out, thanks for the link. Definitely agree with you and I'm sure I could improve quite a lot!

Hope you're doing well, we'll have to grab a beer at some point soon

Good first day back on the online felts! Got my computer BS handled, was a long day and definitely glad I can just focus on grinding. Pumped out a shade over 9k VPPs, was going to play 25bb tonight but just studied instead

Made a run in 1 of the 5 MTTs I played today, the Big 82, but unfortunately went from 2/35 to ~27th after running JJ into QQ and AA in a couple of big pots

Also went back through that set of data vs the other hyper sat regs and put in 45% RB this time, which is what SNEs will get in 2016. Pretty absurd, over the ~270k game sample of games, the regpools are -145k post RB...just wtf.

Anyway, getting ready for bed soon as the alarm will be going off at 3:30am my time! Gla tomorrow

Essentially both I and the owner didn't think my job would take up as much time as it did, so we agreed it was fine for me to relinquish my duties if we found an excellent replacement, which we did

End of this year has been quite quite brutal to me! Only 12.4k vpps away from 2,750,000 for the year, but PS is sure making it a torturous grind! Christmas day I had the joy of losing about 20k in ~50 games played, that was pretty fun (rain)

Anywhooo, ruseman gets back tomorrow and am pretty excited for that, both gonna get hardcore going on the health grind; I've gained so much weight back the past 3 months it's kind of silly. Did hit the gym pre Sunday grind and about to go now to ride bike and do some light lifts + in the morning when I wake up to ride bike again, so getting the routine going again and once Ruse is back, we'll be eating a lot healthier

If I get a chance will post how the month finishes up, but might snap be going out for NYE after the Thursday grind and then will be right at it Fri morning the 1st, starting the 2016 grind!

MTD:

Since returning to the grind on Dec 18 (add in another -16k and -2k EV on my other comp)

And month by month breakdown, along with that September graph loolz, gonna miss SNE

12-29-2015 , 12:06 AM
What a beast, well played!
12-29-2015 , 07:33 AM
Lol dat septembro doe
12-30-2015 , 12:11 AM
Thx meps, and yea, September was rly obnoxious, ran so good in 714s/720s this yr, unf sold heaps off the stake br to my backer lol ...oh well, it could easily have gone the other way, I'm pretty certain scoss lost 100k pre rb at the 714s/720s this yr; hyper sat variance is absurd

Today things didn't get better , DS getting semi annoying but what can I do but push on! Luckily MU # isnt too bad since again, I sell half of the $357s off stake br and then more of $500+ 25bb, of which those 3 (357s / 500/1k 25bb) are where pretty much entire DS is at

Did however hit 2,750,000 for the yr . Plan to put in another iirc 12.2k vpps to end me exactly on 100,000 fpps so I can buy 1 last $1600 bonus; I'm hopingggg I can get there w/out a problem, last Wednesday was super slow (and I have 0 clue what to expect on Thursday) but kind of hard to know until I see who shows up/still needs VPPs on Dec 31st

Anywhooo, maybe I'll have a nicer graph to post tomorrow...we can hope!

Well, didn't grind much today as I woke up late and then had some errands pop up. Was legit though, went and paid the internet bill + did a cpl other errands that are annoying to me, but had 2 stops that made the trip worthwhile; giving 2k USD for PS+6% to someone rly needing USD and then getting 1k USD for my PS at face value...nice lil profitable trip out

Anyway yea, so only actually played the 3 hours before the Wednesday 320, traffic was really damn slow but was fine, was busy talking to a bunch of ppl including the ex gf; gotten rly bad at trying to write/read spanish while grinding, rustyyyy

Will be grinding quite a lot tomorrow, prob starting 3-4 hours before the 1k and then playing the 1k. Planning to just have a chill evening out with Ruse and some others at local spots; don't plan to stay out that late or get into anything ridic as I'll be grinding right away on the morning of the 1st!

Day graph below, lets hope I don't lose heaps tomorrow, been getting killed on Tuesdays/Thursdays lately!
