Awesome thread!

Looking at your rise up through the limits it looks like you played FR (9max)
Did you play 4 tables or 6 then?

Also, if you had to go back and do it again would you start at 6 max or FR?

Thanks, keep up the great work!

Yes, I did indeed play a lot of FR I think I played like 4-6, depending on my mood.

If I had to do it again, I'd definitly choose 6max, as FR doesn't really have any future (at higher stakes at least).

Great!

I don't mean to turn this into a well thread, just one more question

I think a lot of micro grinders put too much emphasis on BR management. I mean if your stuck at .5 / .10 to .25/.50 that's like 5-15 bucks an hour at best. Would you agree that you need to be aggressive with moving up i.e. taking shots with 15 buyins for the next level and moving back down if you lose 5? (Given that the goal is to move up not grind)

Wish you luck on your trek to the nosebleeds.

Absolutely! Especially if you're playing the micros, your only goal should be to move up as soon as possible. I've never understood these nits who say you need like 100BI's for 25nl or w/e. Even worse are the grinders who play hundreds of thousands of hands... at 50nl.

What do you think of Rush Poker 6 max?

I'm sure you haven't played it, but there are some videos on youtube to check it out.

I follow this thread loosely from time to time but have lost track of your progress. What was your starting roll again? And are you still like 90% HU player? You started back in May or so right?

He mentioned he's starting school again soon so I'm guessing the slow down we've seen will become the norm so 5/10 would be my guess.

IMO it's just a matter of a time table, OP is good enough to go all the way so I'm interested to see the progression unfold.

I wish you continued run good in the future IFS, I love this thread!

Tsss... I'll prove you wrong :-) No way I'll just be playing 5/10.

Oh, and just because school starts doesn't mean I won't be playing as much. I've never had any troubles at all with school, and since many others have, I'll probably have about equal time to spend in front of the computer as I have now. Hopefully, anyway

not gonna lie...

this is one of the most inspirational poker learning experience ive ever had, thanks a lot IFS
ive been keeping up since thread page 1 and ive learned loads... you are truly a sick guy
your recent comment regarding BR nits and how good it is to have some balls to climb stakes at the micros inspired me to play more confidently and I managed to make 4 buy-ins in less than 400 hands! although i ran crazy good....

but anyways i hope you run like a god and crush nosebleeds in the very near future

ps- whats your rank on sc2? lets hit up a game sometime? hehe. did you play any BW by any chance? :O
