Let's gooooooo! Yeah whenever I go on a big downswing like that it's usually triggered largely by variance, but mental game leaks also lead to suboptimal play when I just get smoked every session for ages, always makes things even worse when you play worse as well.

Quick update - a pretty long breakeven stretch going on right now. That being said, I am winning over the last 100k at 25z, so that's technically good.

When I started this thread I thought 10z-50z in a year seemed really sensible and achievable. According to my bankroll ($2500 atm, thanks rakeback and bonuses etc!) and results, I am well on track to be able to achieve this goal.

At this stage though, I feel dissatisfied with my progress, and feel more ambitious in terms of my goals. Everything I read implies that zoom is a pretty terrible format in terms of maximising EV at the tables. At present I am of the mindset that the best thing I could do is move towards regular tables, and focus much more heavily on study than on volume. I think my current approach is slowly working, and I have seem massive improvement since January when I started, but I'm realising it's maybe not the smartest path, and I know I can do better basically.

Honestly you don’t understand ranges yet , betting on boards where you should check and over committing with mediocre hands for your entire stack

I haven’t posted a hand in this thread in months so whatever you’re referring to is probably poorly played by me, yeah. I still make mistakes every session but I stand by my statement of having a much better understanding of ranges and board textures than I did at the start of the year.

That being said, you seem to be showing up in several people’s threads being really unhelpful so replying to you is probably pointless, but hope you’re having a good day all the same!

Curious, you say you want to limit your zoom exposure to concentrate on studying more. What's the thinking behind chosing cash over zoom? Is it that you may as well capitalise on your skills while they're hot and make some easy dough against fish at higher limits? Or are you worried about burnout? Or something else?

Very good progress! Having a positive win-rate playing zoom with 8-9bb/100 rake is nothing to be ashamed of. I think regular tables are better for overall development and progression. Good luck in July!
