Sippin did you worked with somebody on your 6max hyper game when you started or you learned it by your self?

Mr. Ruseman and entim gave me some guidance at the very beginning almost 2 years ago, but mostly it was trial by fire, working harder than I ever have (when I first started 6m), and trying to copy what the good players were doing. I haven't had actual coaching but there have been a number of players who have been extremely helpful in the development of my attitude and fundamental poker game especially in this past year.

There's an unlikely story, although I have noticed brief periods of softness that I assume are "some regs are finished" related. It's weather/golf dependent, if things stay nice I'll finish first or second week of Dec, if the rain and cold finally comes then I'll push to get it done before December hits.

Also put in application for Team Online yesterday. There's more going against me than for so luckily my hopes won't be up excessively high but I figure since I'll get SNE and intend to keep doing it I'll at least be considered.

What kind of effort are you putting into this? Being a male from Canada def stacks the odds against you but you come off really well on social media and have a good history with Stars sngs. If you legitimately try to hype yourself and push the SNG angle that seems to be missing from team online, I think you have an okay shot.

I remember from Jdawg that non forum blogs are important to them. Id create or update a private blog to show Stars how youd represent them as a pro, and then use FB, twitter, 2p2, w/e to push as much traffic there as possible. glgl

This snuck up on me, I sort of forgot that they do it every year, and so much mental energy was put into SNE that I didn't even think to campaign myself for it. I only have 625 twitter followers, and I don't have a facebook fan page or a regular blog, but if I knew having those would get me on Team Online I'd be happy to put in a great job of doing those things. Doing them now I think would be far too late. I suspect they probably have a decent idea of who they are even going to pick already, and if not will be doing it soon enough that trying to drum up the readership for these things would probably not make a difference. I know they put a lot of stock in blogs unfortunately but I mentioned in my application I'd be happy to regularly maintain an entertaining blog if I was selected. Overall I think I'd have a lot of fun with it and I think a lot of others would as well. I love the interaction aspect and it would be neat to have a small following.

Ya non forum blog is hugely important, might literally be one of the most important things in PS's eyes. I was gonna put a big effort in this yr on all that **** but then heard in ~March that I basically have 0 chance being a US born player, so I snap quit

Yeah, daleroxxu is a good example of that. He wasn't overly prolific as a player but put a lot of work into maintaining a popular blog and whammo. It would be nice to hear the specifics, I do know there are a few Canadians in there already so :/.

I sussed my results today split into buyin to get an idea for a plan going forward. here are the graphs:

I got quite lucky to run hot as hell at the $100s from the beginning (ran hot as hell at them on other laptop). If things tanked I'd obviously have way less profit on the year and would have had to play way more stressful hours. That 1k game stretch in the $100s from game 5700-6800 was when I was selecting to avoid 5-6 reg games, so I think for the time being I'll switch it back to selecting for as long as I can tolerate it.

After seeing the dangers of what accepting a losing redline can do I'm too paranoid and am not willing to risk getting totally stomped on for the opportunity of a higher hourly. $8k ev is a fairly big hole to get out of but getting it to 0 is going to be my goal for the rest of the year to keep me motivated to play well.

What are your goals in becoming a PS pro? Not asking to be stupid - I read stories about players like Chipstar who felt like they were targeted by all kinds of players upon becoming a pro, having a pretty negative overall impact on results. I'm a noob to all of this so just curious overall. glgl

I feel like if I was targeted it would be by a recreational player if anything so it wouldn't be a concern. I think given my lack of a blog as mentioned before makes me a pretty big underdog to actually get on Team Online. I have heard rumours of certain types of bonuses but I don't know any real details of that, but I'd assume they'd be worthwhile. It would be pretty great to represent the best and most popular poker site, and I'd probably jump from a D list to a C+ list online poker celeb .
