The redline is pretty accurate as long as u dont play Shootouts. So u really run as bad as possible. Also your redline isnt exactly crushing it, but i know for sure that because u run so bad uwont be playin nothing close to your A game. Just give it another shot!

And also: make sure u are 1 tabling while learning / on a downswing!!

For the most part the husng ev graph is accurate, however there are a ton of variables it doesn't account for. My suggestion above all others is to pick 1 game and stick with it.

Coaching, as mentioned, is def an option since many have slashes their rates. No better time than to be in the thick of the games right now crushing volume so you stay sharp for when the American market is opened up and another poker boom happens.

Only played 4 shootouts, so it would be pretty accurate.

Yeah, I've made some inquiries and I'm going to start with a general HH review, and see how that goes, spot some of my major leaks.

Also looking into trying out the deepstack games, I've probably played 20-30, am really bad at them, but Brokerstar is a champion, looking at taking his course, and perhaps getting some leakfinders from Barewire while his coaching is half price.

Heh, another good day of cash, **** day of HUSNG's. Tried playing Brokerstars more small ball, limpy strategy, worked ok, I've sent him a message about getting some coaching/staking, so he can hopefully take me from the $2's to the midstakes like he's done with many other players, if he declines, I'll be taking his condensed course ASAP.

Also, I've shipped the money to get my first HH review done by Ryan from HUSNG.com, excited to get that back and see what immediate leaks I have, and work on removing them from my game.

Anyway, today's graffs:

HUSNG:

With my take2 money received, my bankroll is at $66.74.

Heh. Was lazy today, spent way too much time on forums, was out most of the morning, so came to play a session of cash. Loaded up 8 tables, then full tilt started screwing up, disconnecting. I turned off comp, restarted, took a break, came back and got 8 tables going. Had disconnection issues, but went really bad, not sure if I played bad, run bad, wouldn't have a clue, but my head certainly wasn't in the right place. I'll be reviewing my 20+bb pots from todays session tomorrow to see what went wrong.

-3.5bi's for the day (that's almost -$7 at 2NL).

Played 3 HUSNG's against a complete maniac, went 2-1, I definitely need help with these player types though, I'll be doing Brokerstars condensed course as soon as the money gets from by bank to paypal (usually 6-8 days, grr, want to do his course NAO!), and in our 1 hour session, I'm going to show him the games vs the maniac. If we don't get through them all, I'll put them on handconverter, and post them up here/in the HUSNG forum/on TAGpoker for advice from you guys.

Also have a few other coaches in mind, a few suggested to me, so when I have the money and feel the need, I know one who does cheap HH reviews, and others I wouldn't mind getting some leakfinder videos done for HUSNG.com from. Anyway, first I'll take Brokerstars course and get my HH review from Ryan hopefully soon, and go from there.

Exciting times, really want to work on my game and start crushing this low limit ****, pretty disappointing that I haven't been winning so far.

Just went through yesterdays hands, 20+bb pots, I am fine with how I played them all. Most of them were just a PP 99-QQ, raise pre, cbet, overcard comes, villian bets strong, forced to fold them. Some coolers like AQ vs 55 on AQ5, stuff that doesn't make the EV graph look bad, but is running bad.

Tried out a little bit of 6max this morning, didn't feel comfortable, I'm just starting to get the hang on full ring, so not going to leave that.

Looking into getting Professional no limit holdem and Harrington on cashgames vol 1 sometime soon, need some fullring reading. Need to stop being slack and actually read the COTW's and stickies lol. When I get back into routine from school I'll draw up a table of what I do each night, and hopefully stick to it. Will include plenty of playing time around non exam periods.

Gotta help with the insulation of the house today (renovations), but I'll hopefully get in some hands and SNG's in between that.

Made a late change to my coaching plans, and have decided to go with Cog Dissonance's reg/turbo speed course first

Went 0-3 in HUSNG's today lol, pretty terrible. Played a tiny bit of 6max in the morning, felt uncomfortable and clueless, so gave up at that after being down 30c in 40 hands or whatever. Grinded out 1k hands for 26c profit of fullring at night, I'm lost focus towards the end and was chatting on IM, and my graph basically looked like an n, up at the start, down at the end, was up 2 buy ins at one stage

So yeah, ****ty day really, except I'm super excited to take the coaching course.

First week of rakeback has begun, got just under $2 this week lol, not quite enough to earn an income yet but w/e lol.

Also, I've got some random $20 bonus to unlock, no idea what for, but I'm not complaining lol.

Well, all I could think about today at work was poker. How much I was looking forward to getting home and grinding. Up half a buy in in 375 hands, then boom, downswing, down 2.3bi's after 650 hands, after a cooler, and w/e. But, I decided before I started, unless I tilt, I'm playing a long session. I put that out of my mind, and grinded, 8 tabling for most, a tiny bit of rush underrolled lol, and this is the result:

Also, at 2nl, this bonus is basically impossible to clear. I made a typo in the last post, my bonus is $70 not $20, and at the rate I went tonight (almost 4.5 hours playtime for 2.28 of my bonus), I'd need like 150 hours in total over 3 weeks to clear it. Considering I can only play at night, due to school or work every day, it's not possible for me, but I'm going to try as hard as I can. Maybe I'll get a sick heater and be able to move to 5nl, and it'll make clearing the bonus a bit easier. Btw, I'm going to put a LOT of emphasis on this, because the bonus is actually more than my bankroll, so clearing it would be immensely helpful for me, breaking even would actually double my bankroll.

Bonus cleared: $2.28/$70
Days remaining: 20

Glgl.

Woke up and decided lets grind, need to work on clearing this bonus, played a short sesh, just over an hour of 6-10 tables, 605 hands. I called down waaayyy too light a couple of times, but I recognize that, and can remove it from my game. I feel like I need a huge amount of work on cbetting, but as I become less lazy I'll read through the COTW's and hopefully find a wealth of information on them.

    Goal for tonight after work:
    [] 3k hands
    []5 hours playtime
    [] Profit

Fuuuuuuu. Was grinding, going so well, on a heater in all in pots, but then I started running bad, just getting rivered then calling down, all **** like that, went from nearly 3bi's up on the day to 10bbs down. Wanted to just grind through happy hour, but I really don't feel like playing after that, at least I'll show a profit from rakeback/bonuses.

CBF doing a proper update, not sure what I'm going to do, either take the rest of the nigt off and come back tomorrow, or go through my big pots/watch some HUSNG vids then play a HUSNG or two. We'll see, will update tomorrow night.

Was shifting through Cog Dissonances vids to have a geez before my payments make it through and I get my coaching, decided to watch his superturbo vid 1 and 2, pretty helpful for a beginner, so fired up a game, won, was hooked, and went 5-1 over 6. I run hugely over EV, mainly because most of my hands held, I didn't pull any huge suckouts but w/e, it was fun, so quick too. Going to play a couple more, then watch his superturbo guide, and take it from there.

Not sure what I'm going to do with fullring, it's pretty easy/fun and w/e, but it gets super boring. Yesterday I was just watching movies while I played, and the result of it was really tailing off at the end of my session, from a 3bi day to a losing day. We'll see what happens.

I know what you mean by boring but take a shot at 5NL fully stacked as see how you feel. It is a lot tougher IMO compared to 2NL as there are a lot of regs and nits.

I am sure it won't kill your BR! Hows HU going?

    Anyway, todays giraffe:

Also, changed my mind again, wanted to do Cog's course, but when I can do Brokerstars for $200, and do it the way I'd prefer (made some changes to the course outline myself), for half the price, it's just better value, plus I'm not exactly made of money.

Anyway, hopefully paypal will get its funds through (waiting 6-9 days is so rageworthy) soon so I can begin.

Played a cash sesh to unlock a bit more of my bonus, 2 tabled superturbos today, faced ****ing huuggeee variance, watched Cog's superturbo video 1 and 2, took notes on 1, going to take notes on the second video tomorrow, so much information in them.

I think once I learn the basics and start winning at the $1/$2's (if I don't get over them, I don't always deal with variance too well, especially as I'm not properly rolled for even the $1 ST's atm), I should be able to 2 table them as you don't need to collect too many reads I don't think.

    Today's cash graph:

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Not too happy, I run above EV, don't think I played terribly, not sure what went wrong, and while I've been playing a lot of cash, these past 2 days I've become more interested in HUSNG's, with the prospect of coaching right around the corner.

And today in HUSNG's, mostly superturbos, tried 2 tabling reg speeds for a bit, was stupid of me, but w/e.

    Sorry, missed this post.

I've taken shots at 5nl before, pwned it lol, but I really, really hate playing underrolled, feel so uncomfortable, and don't take the swings near as well.

Regarding heads up, it's going ****. I'm not quitting, and I will work on turning it around, and becoming a profitable player.

Since I'm not playing cash atm, I've really backed off on the bonus, I'm only like $6 through it lol. I've not been playing much volume, been watching some HUSNG.com vids and whatever a little bit, now that schools back I only have like 4 hours to do stuff, and obviously I do stuff aside from poker.

Anyway, roll is currently at $63, not quite enough to be rolled for the super turbo variance, but if I have to, I can reload.

Anyway, going to finish watching Cog's super turbo video, finish taking notes tomorrow, then test out the advice at the tables.

Alright. Received 2.20 in rakeback today, sent 3.30 to a friend so we could play some 1.10 games for fun, we played 2 and I won them both.

    Overall day graph:

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

    GOOD NEWS:
I have paid for and received Brokerstars videos, which will hopefully be immensely helpful. I am also close to getting a staking/coaching package for HUSNG's, which would be awesome! I received my HH review back, there was no major leaks spotted, just a few small ones, which is good, and I can work on correcting.

I feel like everything is turning around from my downswing, hopefully I'll start coming back up now.

    Life graph:

(lol @ micro HU rake, winning 53% of games and still getting raped, also lol @ my volume)

Roll is at $69.29, if I didn't ship a few bucks to my friend I'd be finally back to where I begun this thread at.

I'm also going to quit cash for the moment, need to focus on HUSNG's now I have way less time with school and work.

Time for some goals, just the usual **** I never achieve any of.

    April goals:
[] Watch ALL of Brokerstars videos from the course, and the related ones (eg his personal games vs different player types) that he sent me
[] Take notes on the coaching/theory videos, and if it warrants it, notes on his personal games/contact him for discussion
[] Sort out my stake, if it goes ahead
    [] Gym 3x week
    [] 150 reg speed/deepstacks
    [] 500 supers if I decide/am allowed to play them, if not, 200+ regs/deeps
    [] Profit

GOGOGO, next month I WILL achieve my goals!

Only 2 games today, spend a good amount of time watching a coaching video and taking notes, 1 game before and 1 after. Didn't really want to play because my head was filled with information about one player type, and I didn't want to be overcome with information about one player type, but if I come up against a different one (which I did), be clueless.

Tomorrow I've got the day off work, so will watch the other 2 videos in the series with extensive notes, then set about getting some 1 on 1 time with Brokerstar to get him to quiz me, then play some games and get my leaks plugged.

    This months graph:

Easily my worst month, was very lazy at the start and my terrible results resulted in me switching to cash games, but I just couldn't leave HUSNG's, so have made what will hopefully be one of the best moves of my poker career and got some coaching, which will hopefully get me winning again.

I will turn it around next month, I promise!

Finished Brokerstar's condensed course videos today, and set out to play some games. In most of my games I pretty quickly identified my opponent, and felt I had a good edge and was playing well. I misplayed a couple of hands in the heat of battle, but I recognize that, and it's OK, that happens, but obviously I must strive to avoid this happening as much as possible.

Shipped a 2.20 4 man, played another, got to the final table and got the chips in with a gutshot and a flush draw, hit it on the river, but not after he'd turned a full house

Played 11 regular games, mostly reg speeds, finished -$3.65 there, ended up 2 tabling (registered for the shootout and the reg speed, as earlier on the shootout took a while to fill), and I didn't notice them both fill within about a minute, and I had to 2 table. When I was 2 tabling, I struggled to identify my opponents style, and his tendencies, and pretty must went into autopilot, which I must also avoid.

Overall, I'm just up for the day with rakeback, and will get some more of my bonus released tomorrow. Won't have a huge amount of playing time, as Monday and Friday's are gym days, but as long as I'm not too tired after it, I'll be right to hopefully put in 10+ games.

Re watched Cog Dissonance's video on focus, and took some notes. Instead of thinking in games, I will now be thinking in terms of playtime.

My sessions are going to be in 20 minute blocks, my avg game time is about 12 minutes overall, but I think it'll be increasing now I'm small balling. I think I'll be playing 1 game sets basically, and really focusing on every decision. I know I play good poker and can beat the games when I do this.

So from now on, my volume isn't going to be huge, but hopefully my ROI will be.

    Month so far:
    Date: 3rd
    Games: 21
    Profit/loss: +$2.75
    ROI: 6.1%

Also, will have my first leakfinder from Brokerstar up by tomorrow. Lets see what leaks he can spot, and then I can work on fixing them.
