Hello everyone, I'm Inky!

I have been streaming as Inky_Poker, so I thought I'd make a PGC to track my progress.

I'm also on twitter and insta.

A little about me:

I've been a pro for 11+ years now, starting in university playing SnGs, moving on to NLHE 6Max, to MTTs, to HUSnGs, to HU Cash, Supers/Hypers HU, to Live HS NLHE, and finally to Live HS PLO.

Nowadays, or pre-Covid, in any case, I play anywhere from 5/10 to 50/100, taking some shots at higher as it is available. I am based in London but have played all over, from Macau to Melbourne, to LA, Las Vegas, and various European and UK tournament stops.

Outside poker, I'm a enthusiastic dancer, a lover of film and theatre, and an all around gay. they/she.

Back to the poker: here's my lifetime live graph:

I've been on 2+2 since near the start and had been the OP of two fairly popular PGC. I'd stopped using 2+2 for a while, but decided to come back as I've started dabbling in the online grind again and having more trackable results.

Here's my online graph, playing 1/2 and 2/5 Zoom PLO since I started streaming last month:

Since I'm not grinding for fun and to keep the rust at bay for the most part, I've found streaming and answering question very helpful for keeping motivated. I'd love to answer any questions about being a pro, live poker, adjusting between live and online, or non poker things too, really. I'll also be happy to answer various strat questions, either on stream or here. I'll post up interesting hands and do some session reports here too.

It would be great to have you join me on stream with my two cats Val and Leo.

what do the numbers on your hud represent? first line is VPIP, PFR, 3 bet %? Really love that music which was playing at the start of your stream from 8 hours ago.

10:44 on your last stream (I'm watching the video on twitch) you donk w/ AxJx9s8s on A92 flop after defending BB. What is the worst type of this hand you would defend in this situation, and why did you donk the flop instead of c/c or c/r? It seems like PFR is going to have a strong equity and polarity advantage since he is uncapped and we would three bet a lot of AA (at least the ones suited to the ace) and some strong Axxx as well (ABBB ss+). Therefor he is going to c-bet liberally and we should either c/c or c/r, donking just lets him fold his air he would probably bet.

12:48, table 2 where you flop top set after open SB and call BB three bet, I think we should c/r, this should be a very favourable flop for the tighter BB range imo. I believe SB vs BB we should open about 30% (50% limp 50% raise), but we are also limp reraising some of our strongest hands so we don't have just top 15% of hands. Although BB is three betting a bit wide in this situation so maybe leading is fine as our ranges are competitive.

13:15 are you three betting all or almost all of your AA combos here? What about if you were only 100 bb deep? I usually flat if we don't have a nut suit but I guess BU vs CO and with good side cards and 200 bb deep three betting is probably best.

Thanks! Do you mean the christmas music? It's from my Christmas Blues playlist: here. I am a blues dancer so I have a bunch of those. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

My hud stats are:

Hands / VPIP / PFR / 3BetPre
RFI EP / MP / CO/ BTN
RFI-Foldvs3Bet OOP / IP / Fold to LP Steal / CC 3Bet+ PF
RFI SB / RFI-Foldvs3Bet in SB / Fold BB vs SB Open / 3Bet BB vs SB Open

Hey, you mean the hand at 10:09?

Yeah I just misremembered the hand and thought I was the opener. I uh, get distracted easily. It's a range check, and I think I'd x/c.

With my preflop strategy I do not limp any bvb at 1/2 due to rake.

I can't say I am very sure of this spot, as my BvB is probably one of my weakest spots (lol live pro never gets folded to blind), but as you can see we lead a lot on this board, and our hand is a half pot donk almost all of the time.

Outside of BvB in general, you get a lot of SB leads on these sort of boards, and the population vastly under donks.

Preflop? I'm 3betting a good chunk. I'd say I flat a lot less than GTO, but still would 3bet a lot when IP.

Looking at monker 100bbs, we only flat 3.5% of our AA. I don't believe being deeper would significantly change that, certainly not to the point of flatting a combo as decent as AAT8ssbs. Unfortunately I don't have a deeper CO and BTN sim on me.

There's some reason to flat a bit more with a 12.6% 3bet player in the SB, but I'd probably pick a different combo. Also since villain is a fish, I think there's just too much value to not 3b.

Hope this helps

Heyyy! I'm very excited about having done my first study stream!

I've had some questions in the past about how I study, and I figured since I am going to do it anyway, I might as well stream a casual version of it. It was extra nice because there's no delay, and I got to chat with some friends (who mostly came to laugh at me, but also gave some very helpful input). Thanks for everyone who joined, and do check out the video and the next time I do one. When I figure my life out a bit more, I'll try put up a schedule so you can all join me. Do let me know if you like the study streams more or the zoom grind.

Yeah, it's been a while! So much has changed, it's kind of weird looking back at the old thread.

Great!

I did another stream today, had to cut it short because I had a dance workshop to join, but we got to take a shot at 500z and play some fun big pots. I'll post some hands a bit later!

Hope you enjoy it, and hopefully see you on stream!

Okay as promised I'll post some hands hands, including some of my biggest pots the past month:

I enjoy a bluff now and then, but sometimes they just snap me off, and it's sad.

Sometimes it gets through though

540bbs yissss

I must admit I've mostly just been getting lucky in big pots:

But in my defence I do get paid.

Aaaand here's a nice juicy pot at 2/5:

I don't really like how I played flop. Firstly I think I should check, but facing a raise, maybe it's a fold? Look how we turn the nuts and still have so-so equity only.

Okay, since we're showing my embarrassing hands, here's another one I misplayed (one of many many many); should've jammed turn. Get my money in bad sooner you know.

And here I end with a spot I'd like some opinion on. What sizing should we pick river? I'm thinking we should've gone big.

Alright, that's like, a few too many hands, but there we go. See you all soon~

Hey! Glad to see you still around How's it been?

I took another shot at 2/5z yesterday! It was sort of wild. I've been running so well I'd forgotten what it was like to lose, so of course I move up stakes and drop 4 buyins in like the first hour. We persevered, streamed for 4 hours, and got this in the end though:

[x] confirmed still sunrunner

And here, a hand just to prove that I don't always blast off (just usually):

PokerStars - $5 PL Hi FAST (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players

Hero (BTN): 146.15 BB
SB: 396.26 BB
BB: 249.94 BB
UTG: 100 BB
MP: 626.65 BB
CO: 245.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A 6 T 9

fold, fold, CO raises to 3.5 BB, Hero calls 3.5 BB, fold, fold

Flop: (8.5 BB, 2 players) 8 4 Q
CO checks, Hero bets 6.06 BB, CO calls 6.06 BB

Turn: (20.62 BB, 2 players) 5
CO checks, Hero bets 15.01 BB, CO calls 15.01 BB

River: (50.64 BB, 2 players) 5
CO checks, Hero checks

Spoiler:
CO shows A 4 9 Q (Two Pair, Queens and Fives)
(Pre 56%, Flop 75%, Turn 80%)
Hero mucks A 6 T 9 (One Pair, Fives)
(Pre 44%, Flop 25%, Turn 20%)
CO wins 50.04 BB

I imagine we're getting snapped or jammed on there, so wpwp me.

Here's an extremely annoying one. We flop what is a really strong hand for the spot, but end up having to do a pathetic x/c x/c x/f. I really hated having to fold, but presumably we don't actually have a great hand for that and have a lot better by the river.

A viewer clipped this hand for me, where I got SO UNLUCKY and got set under set. smdh unbelievable.

https://www.twitch.tv/inky_poker/cli...e=7d&sort=time

Here are some heroes. This first one got me back to even.

PokerStars - $5 PL Hi FAST (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players

BTN: 268.87 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 58.89 BB
UTG: 86.52 BB
MP: 206.31 BB
CO: 947.07 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 7 J 9 8

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 2.75 BB, Hero raises to 9.25 BB, fold, BTN calls 6.5 BB

Flop: (19.5 BB, 2 players) T J 8
Hero checks, BTN bets 10.02 BB, Hero calls 10.02 BB

Turn: (39.54 BB, 2 players) 2
Hero checks, BTN bets 20.64 BB, Hero calls 20.64 BB

River: (80.81 BB, 2 players) K
Hero checks, BTN bets 61.76 BB, fold

Spoiler:
BTN wins 80.21 BB

Anyway this had me angry. Flop two pair??? at this SPR??? But???

But not as angry as this reg must have been. This is how I turned the session around:

PokerStars - $5 PL Hi FAST (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 5 players

Hero (BTN): 151.67 BB
SB: 151.83 BB
BB: 291.62 BB
UTG: 95.07 BB
CO: 42.41 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 7 8 6 K

fold, fold, Hero raises to 3.5 BB, fold, BB raises to 11 BB, Hero raises to 33.5 BB, BB raises to 101 BB, Hero calls 67.5 BB

Flop: (202.5 BB, 2 players) 6 T J
BB bets 100.95 BB, Hero calls 50.67 BB and is all-in

Turn: (303.84 BB, 2 players) 9

River: (303.84 BB, 2 players) J

Spoiler:
BB shows A Q 2 A (Two Pair, Aces and Jacks)
(Pre 54%, Flop 3%, Turn 0%)
Hero shows 7 8 6 K (Flush, King High)
(Pre 46%, Flop 97%, Turn 100%)
Hero wins 303.24 BB

So this is how poker is decided, who gets their aces cracked getting most of your stack in pre.

again:
