Hello readers,

Have been contemplating a while on whether I should start a thread or not. Decided to do it anyway. I don't feel like typing a whole background story yet, but I will answer questions as good as possible. I have made other topics in the past also, so feel free to check those out. However, after a while I stopped updating those and since I have improved so much since then I feel like a whole new topic is the best idea.

I'm playing $100 turbos for the most part now.

This month (1-2-2012 till 20-2-2012):



Started playing $100 turbos around game number 270 on the graph of this month. Before that, it's a combination of $30 regular speeds and turbos + $60 regular speeds and turbos. If I had to formulate a goal, it would be something along the lines of: establishing myself as a reg at the $300 turbos before the end of this year. I also plan on achieving Supernova.

how many tables you play at once? and any good videos/ebooks that helped you a significant amt along the way?

I always try to two-table. Ive seen a lot of mersenneary's videos from HUSNG and I also read his e-book (<- major help, a must read!). Also thinking about poker outside the grind.

UPDATE 1



A lot of coolers/set-ups and played a lot of regs, so I'm not too worried about this break-even stretch. Made a couple of questionable, probably bad, calls, but that's almost inevitable when running bad. Played a solid B-game.

Things that didn't go well: in check-raised pots, with me being the aggressor, I'm losing too much when called (I tend to double barrel in a lot of bad spots) and I caught myself drifting off (thinking about other stuff) a couple of times.

Pretty happy with volume, though. I'll try to play at least 30+ games a day.

Gonna take a break now and I'll probably play some more games later on, feel free to rail me! LOL! I'll be home tomorrow so I also need to prepare for a monster session.

I'm still playing, but just wanted to post my massive heater. Yep, those are 11 straight wins on the $100 turbos. It's gotten to the point that I'm almost scared to play because I don't want to disrupt this epic streak. This is easily my best month ever.

Update 2B will be on here tonight after I'm done with poker for today.

Winning streak has stopped after 13 straight wins at the $100 turbos.

Today was insane! I didn't play nearly as many games as I wanted to, unfortunately. I did have my best day in poker ever though! The nice upswing caused me to take a shot at the $200 turbos, and yes you guessed it: I won that one too (first hand I 3-bet villains 3x with 88 and he jams with 44 and I hold, gg!). Even EV says I'm up $1000+.

Well, I don't think I can point out one exact moment, but I've been approaching the game better/playing better since I put more and more volume in. The more volume you put in, the less you start caring about losses. More volume also means that you start trying to pull out consistent leaks in your game. To put all of this in a time period; right after I finished reading mersenneary's e-book I put more volume in.

I remember that in the past I was always worried about whether I should have called or folded an openjam at 40 big blinds with 44 for instance. But after I read mers' e-book I realized that those kind of situations do not occur enough for me to need to worry about them. I realized I should focus more on aspects that occur the most; like calling a minraise with J3s/J4s/J5s.

At one point, after losing a lot of games while playing very well, I was also caring less about losses: ''I'm not going to worry about it, because I played well; **** those losses!'' and continued playing very solid.

But don't get me wrong; I'm still not a superb player, I'm sure I still have a lot of leaks and other issues that are not resolved yet.

Yeah, def a sick month so far. I'm already taking shots at the $200 turbos (played 2 again today, and won them both). I think the $300 turbos is the highest I can get to. Past that point you'll just need so much talent and you need to have a big bankroll online (and I'm just not comfortable with that at this point).
