Hi my names Gazz, I'm 20 and I have played professionally for the past year due to failing my exams at Warwick for the course MMORSE, maths and **** and I will be going back to university in September at Bath for Accountancy and Finance.

I have played a mixture of games this year ranging from 50-200nl 6max and 6max zoom, £1/£2 live, £2/£5 live and £5/£10 live. I had won about £25k prior to start of this month, August, and this month I have been on the heater of my life. I went London for 2 days and played a total of 25 hours at 1/3, 2/5 and 5/10 and managed to win just under £10k, came back and had 3 ~£1.5k winning sessions in a row at my local casino in Birmingham.

I noticed however my online game was getting sloppy as previously during my heater, I had been hitting hard on every flop and having top of range every time so now I had started playing a lot more ABC postflop as I had no need to win hands by non showdown previously as I always had the best hand at showdown so my red line started soaring down. I took 2 days off, analysed some hands I had played and managed to plug some leaks (see 8k hands into graph) whilst dropping some stakes back to 100nl-200nl.



Few days ago, decided to play normal ring games instead of Zoom and managed to bink a milestone hand within 1 hour of playing for $1.3k to further my heater.

As far as MTTs go, I came around 60th in UKIPT Nottingham earlier in year for £2.4k, i've come 100th and 132nd in Sunday Million this year and a few other deep runs, nothing too impressive.

I'm planning on playing GUKPT Coventry main event next week as well as some of the side events and then a few of the smaller buyin WCOOPs next month. Here's my schedule : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...0NjTWxPQnpQblE

Have a profitable GUKPT Coventry series, will play cash there too
Have a profitable WCOOP series
20k hands/week of 6m online after back from Coventry
Retain Supernova for 2013

Long Term Goals :
Do well in my course at university this time round
Win $100k before end of year, currently at ~$60k
Maybe be able to play some of the WSOP events next Summer!

How did you do in Coventry bud?

Ended up only playing the first £100, the 2 day £300 and the main event. Bricked all 3 unfortunately pretty early on at least. Played some cash and had a £150 losing session, followed by a £900 losing session where I decided to play some dumb PLO, a £1.3k winning session and then a £2.2k losing session (lost £600 in degen flips at end) in a 2/5 game where I was up like 1.5k at one point.

Disappointing needless to say especially as I never got over starting stack in the main event. 2 big hands which led to my downfall were :

1. Blinds 50/100, 20k stack, 3 limps to me on button with 44, I limp and both blinds complete. Flop 49Tdd, checks to me, I bet 450 into 600, 1 caller. Turn Ah, I bet 1050 into 1500, call. River 2d, he donks 1200 into 3600, I sigh call and he shows A3dd for nut flush.

2. Blinds 100/200 ante 50. Folds to me on button with 6Qss, I open to 425, both blinds call. Flop 6QKcc, checks to me, I bet 825 into 1400~, BB calls. Turn 3d, checks to me, I bet 1575 into 3100~, calls. River 2h, checks to me, I bet 3300, he tank calls with K2. I'm down to 5k.

Decided to play more WCOOPs due to missing so many side events, hopefully run good there. How did you do? I guess you bricked all tournaments :P, how you do in cash?

I bricked everything, especially gutting was the turbo though, it only got like 40 runners but it was redicu-soft - and I re-entered it!

I was around -£1100 total for the week

Yeah I'll be in Bath, no casinos nearby unfortunately. However, just found out UKIPT Swansea is moving to UKIPT Bristol so will probably play that in November

Won't be playing any poker till WCOOPs so not going to be any updates unfortunately.

That's huge news about UKIPT moving though! There are so many soft regs that play in in Bristol too. I'll be there for that for sure.

Yeah Bristol is closest but apparently it has 1/2 max and most nights only 1/1 too and also I won't be bringing car, so it's just a hassle for a smaller game. I'll definitely be there for UKIPT though!

Yeah Bristol seems to do only 50p/50p and 1/1 most nights, rarely 1/2 NL, somtimes 1/2 PLO.

So I bricked my first 2 WCOOPs nowhere near the cash and playing the 10 min level one tonight. Should probably mention I have about £2.5k invested in other people in WCOOPs and a little bit in GUKPT Coventry and UKIPT Newcastle too so I will update this with any relevant scores but needless to say it's a pretty sweat-inducing month for me!

Freshers is coming up in 2 weeks so have been messing around last few days playing as much as I can and I've decided to have a dabble in a lot of the games I used to play with decent success such as the 6 max hyper turbo satellites, hyper HU sngs, fifty-fifty sngs and normal turbo sngs and I've ran sick hot, especially in the 6 max satellites.

Thanks guys, just bust out the $320 10 min level WCOOP, got off to good start but lost AK<AQ for a 2x average stack.

Doubled up with AA > QQ shortly after and had a comfortable stack all the way to bubble and once bubble burst, managed to double up with AA > AK but then lost a big hand for stacks with AT < AQ on A445, good for $747 though. First cash of the series is very welcome, still have 2 to play tomorrow and 2 on Sunday
