I was thinking forcing your self (next session) to sit at the table for 2-3 full orbits (not allowed to play a single hand) and take notes on action and player types. Obv look at your cards and pretend to be folding rags but really get some good info down on players and then play your game using these copious notes!!

I like the idea of having to do a poker oriented task if I fail. I dont really like the suggestion of sacrificing 3 rounds of blinds for the sake of observation. I have already spent many hrs as a 7% vpip nit and actually used to get an odd satisfaction out of folding for 2 or 3 hrs straight with premium hands. I already pay close attention, follow action and assess showdowns wether or not I'm playing. I type up shorthand notes on villain based on seat # in my phone and figure out most players style relatively quickly. I can always improve and be more focused.
