I played a session back at Borgata, played alright. I won a decent pot by calling a turn raise with aces on a paired flop.

I don’t think it has much to do with me as I only played at Rivers for 2 weeks. Basically Kydd and some of his horses crushed the games for a lot of money and some of the bad regs started complaining to management and accused us of colluding. The claims are obviously false they still won when restricted to playing at separate tables because they are good at poker, my coach has been up front about his business because there is nothing shady to hide. It is any casino’s right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, no big deal we will spend our rake elsewhere.

These are pretty sexy!

I've been spewing in a couple spots with some bluffs, should probably be a little more selective about those.

I played a decent session, doubled up once with aces not too many other huge hands.

I met another 2+2er tonight, seemed like a chill guy.

I failed my challenge pretty miserably , I'll probably just do a video of me eating spicy food with my hair done crazy.

I really want to break my lazy habits and make use of the time I have left here and get the hrs in.

Happy 420!

I am a little embarassed about not being successful in the execution of my goals. I want a slice of redemption by finishing off the month by hitting 200 hrs which would be a personal record. I always set the bar high but I just suck at following through. Do me a favor and post any inspirational quotes you like.

You've just had (I believe) you're two most successful ever. Maybe instead of spending energy thinking about how to force yourself to meet crazy expectations, spend the time thinking about what's you've been doing differently that have made things go right, and how to continue doing that.

^I kind of disagree. Sure, its important to play your best at all times but if you are a pro and wanting to grind up a roll at 1/2, 1/3 , & 2/5 you need to put in those hours.

Pure, from what I read this is your full time job and don't have personal commitments keeping you from grinding hours correct? If that is the case then take advantage of your situation and grind those hours bro. What do you think keeps you from completing your goals?

I had another 1k session, played well and got the money in good everytime. I am feeling more comfortable playing 200bb+ deep. Since I am playing longer sessions to finish the month I'll have more hrs logged playing 200bb+ deep which should help get me ready to take on the Vegas 2/5 games that allow a bigger buyin.

If I fail my mini challenge dhcg86 suggested my penalty be I can't smoke herb for 2 weeks. I really like blazing so this should be excellent motivation.

I think it is great that I had a respectable March but I know it is imperative to not get complacent. I am around a bunch of players who are better than me and it makes me want to push myself to do even better.

I believe the main adjustments I have made that are contributing to better results are sizing my isos and 3b bigger. I have worked on bet sizing better postflop too. I am not making bad calls. I am value betting a lot more on turns and rivers. My live reads have been pretty sharp.

I have also been running a lot better, flopping more sets and getting outdrawn less.

I really need to keep my work ethic high from now through WSOP, there is nothing holding me back except laziness. I need to gradually rebuild my bankroll so I can go back on my own in a few months armed with all the poker wisdom I've acquired from Kydd.

I played at a shorthanded table most of the night. I think I played well for the most part, had a few borderline spots. I was mentally exhausted after I finished 10 hrs.

Not sure if it was mentioned in here, but are you playing poker in your spare time or full time? I ask because your hourly was something like $9 bucks for the year. Doesn't seem like enough to live off is it?

I play in my spare time, I have a lot of spare time. I don't spend that much money, obviously my hourly could use some improvement.

I don't really have any other employment prospects so I'll probably just keep playing poker and maybe I'll eventually get good at it.

Not a bad session.

Here is a hand I played-

2 limps I make it 30 with KQ, I get 2 calls. stacks are 500 effective

Flop- JT8
checked to me I bet 50, ep c/r to 125, I think for a while then jam. He tanks forever then folds a ten face up.

Yep, 5 minute walk to the poker room it's cool.

I think it is cool how the outside of Borgata is gold during the day and purple at night.

Looks like I'll be leaving AC in about a week or so.

March went by fast. I had a pretty good month but still didn't meet my goals. I played about 80% of the volume I wanted to put in so not too bad but room for improvement. Thanks again to Kydd, dhcg86 and all my other friends here for the positive influence.

May is going to be a transitional month so I probably won't be able to play as much because of travel time. I do want to play at least 100 more hrs at Borgata before leaving.

I still owe for some of the mini challenges I've failed. I am not going to smoke until I leave Borgata I'll do the spicy food punishment soon.

I will send $100 to charity at the end of each month and then make a bigger donation at the end of the year.

It is nice to see some more successful live grinders with PG&C threads, hard to keep up with all the good ones! Play well this month everyone 30 days until wsop!

I enjoyed reading through this thread at work today OP! Keep up the good work, I will keep checking in on this thread regularly to see how you are doing. I'm just curious how you are able to afford living at a casino for so long. The nice ones are usually really expensive? You splitting a room with your two buddies there?
