I wasn't able to play yesterday, and today because my modem decided to die. I had to wait for the "t-online guy" to replace it... So I went for a ride in the mountains (I have a Suzuki SV 650s). It was awesome! The feeling of freedom you get when you get on a bike and ride is nearly indescribable.

Whinger: The most important thing for me is to know that I can beat the limit I'm playing. Usually the more hands I play the better my game is, If I'm in a downswing this way I know that It's just a matter of days, and everything's gonna be fine again. The most tilting is when I play low volume + run like ****. This combination can really mess up my game.
This works for me. It's not for everyone ofc.

DK Barrel:
Thanks for the kind words!

UraJeRK: NL4 is gonna be a piece of cake! Just keep grinding, and move up! See ya at the tables!

GL guys!

Ayeee ...welcome to my world ..

One of them you can do something about, the other you cannot ..

I kinda fail to deal with both aspects ..

You still playing $10nl ? .. im trying to figure out who you are.

Whinger: Yeah, still playing nl10.

joshmeyer: Yes, I already have the BR, but I need to work a bit more on my game(much cheaper on NL10). If you table select there is almost zero difference between NL10-NL25. (At NL10 I just sit down and play, don't really care about table selection).

AnyTime:Thanks! Playing a lot of hands is not a big deal really, you just have to put in the time.

Thank god i chose to play NL10 today! It was a nightmare... Set vs oversets, KK vs AA... and so on.

I hope I'm gonna be able to get out of bed tomorrow. Gonna hurt a lot!!

Your going to have to take me under your wing Crazy ...and teach me the art of plundering through a bad 10k hand stretch ..

I returned to Stars nearly two weeks ago .. and im down 1 buy in after 8.5k hands ..

Like you on this day ..ive had to contend with a variety of coolers .. ( im glad i asked Stars to remove my chat ) ..

Its been one step forward and then one back ..

The difference is ... you managed to play through a 10k hand session like that in a day ... due to me getting narked about it ... its taken me 2 weeks !!

Open up a few more tables, or play more (just a bit more every time you play). That's the secret! And you can do it! Everybody can! You can't get better at it, if you don't even try. Ofc if you'r on tilt, just close those damn tables, and have a beer or something!

The best thing is, that I was lazy as **** this month. I can play 250K+ hands easily in a month, and now I'm at 134K hands... September is going to be much more productive!

You can do it! Believe me!

I tend to play 16 tables using TN ... but as you mentioned ... i kinda tilt somewhat and quit for the session after 45+ minutes or so ... very rarely my sessions reach 90 minutes.

Feel my game is in ok order, well for $10nl anyway .. just lack the discipline to grind out good volume.

Ive never past 35k hands in a month before.

September is going to be different ..

In!!! Great thread Crazy. Sik volume your throwing out! How many tables do you play - 24 I'm guessing?! How many hours per day?

GL for September!

Whinger: 16 is enough. You just have to learn to be able to play longer sessions. You will succeed! September is veeeeeery near!!!

Happy Yappy:Thanks! Ah, not sick volume at all! September is gonna be sick!
I play 16-24 tables (avg. around 19-20). I can't tell you how many hours a day, because it depends on multiple factors: How am I feeling that day; what day is it. Sometimes I play 10+ hours, sometimes just 2-3. Usually I try to play most hands at the weekends.

GL to you too!

This month:

I need to play mooooore...

joshmeyer: Well, I hope so. I play 14/10 with a low 3bet% (around 3-4) I take advantage of the tight image, so I'm pretty agressive postflop. Usually playing 16-24 tables.
Whinger: Thanks!

3K hands today...

I'm going to play 100K hands in the next 10 days. If everything goes well, I'm going to move up to NL50.

I have school tomorrow, so I just wanna go to bed and switch my brain off.

I couldn't play 10k hands today, because my monitor gave up the battle, so I had to buy another one. I bought a new mouse too. It's super comfortable, and much easier to click, and move. With this new mouse I think I'm going to play 20K+ hands this weekend.

3,8k hands for today.

Month so far:

I'm back! I haven't played much this month (have a few reasons for that). There is a situation in Hungary about taxing online poker in 2012. They've just passed a law that the sites have to pax 20% tax in 2012 (after the traffic the hungarian players generate). It's not a bad deal, imo... IF the player's cashouts will be tax-free. If we have to pay taxes on top of the 20% (which is gonna be in a new rake-system for hungarians, i guess) it's going to be helllllllll. 40-50% tax on top of this is going to kill the game. We will see in the coming weeks what's going to happen...

Soooo, I've been doing a lot of training lately. Running 4-5miles every day. I've been preparing myself physically for the long sessions in october. I'd like to play nearly 300K hands, and move up to NL50 at the end of the month. Then cut back the volume in nov, dec, and concentrate on my game for the rest of the year.

I don't know what to say... This month is a nightmare so far. I have a knee injury, so I have to rest my legs for at least a week. And poker... Pokerstars X-Ray'd my soul in the past two days.I don't know what to do now. I have almost zero confidence in my game. I'm thinking about moving back to nl10 for a few days to restore confidence. I think a coach would be a great help now. If i don't see progress in a week, I will contact someone.

    Better luck!

Nice blog CrazyJoe. Very impressed with your volume, just don't know how you can play your A game and not become robotic playing so many tables and hands. I'm also grinding NL10 at PS atm after recently moving up from NL5, but it's got off to a very shaky start. Looks like your having a pretty sick downswing atm, i seem to go through these on a weekly/fortnightly basis, running 5-20BI under Ev over a 10-15k hand period that just wrecks my profits for the week, any helpful advice getting past this, or am i just a damn unlucky person???
