I'm just curious about one thing though: what's up with your betsizing? I've notice in a few hands you're betting about a quarter or third of the pot when checked to you (even on draw-heavy boards).

What's your logic behind this?

I'm soooo tired and zoned out right now, so im too lazy to go back and read about specific hands....it's prolly bcuz at 1-2 people are always shortstacked, so even if the bet is 1/3 of the pot it's a bet that's gonna force them to go all in or fold thus resulting in the same outcome.

Just got done with a 9 hour session. I truely do not know how I booked a winner. Got sucked out on 3 $250+ pots. A8 no good on 885 board vs 810 & 67. 77 no good on 4-5-6 when a guy check shoved all in with AK and got there. The other one is elluding my brain at this point.

I'm really really temped to just say **** 1-2 and play 2-5. It'd just suck having one ****ty night and erase 64+ hours of work.

Played a 4 hour session at MGM tonight. First hand at the table I get the button....dealer doesn't deal me cards. I wasn't aware that you have to post unlike MotorCity. He could of atleast asked me if I wanted to post, but whatever.

First hand I get to play I raise utg+1 to 6 to 77. get a caller in MP and the BB makes it 20 with ~260 stack. I call as does MP. Flop 858r. It gets checked around. Turn is the lovely 7c putting 2 clubs on board. BB leads for 40 I flat as does MP. River 10c. BB leads for 60, I make it 200 as MP had me covered and he folds. BB calls and I flip my 77.....he stares at the board for like 10 seconds before flipping over pocket 10s to complete the rape. I was pretty stunned....thought for sure he was just looking at the board like "damn how did my Aces lose" butnahhhhh i get donkrolled.

Over the next 3.5 hours I just won small 40-50ish dollar pots really frequenty and ended up booking a $202 winner. I think im gonna go play there tomorrow instead of MC. Just sucks not being able to getup and get food/drinks whenever you want.

Played a 7 hour session @ mgm. took like an hour break for dinner but I always include that time when figuring out my hourly. Do most live grinders do it like that?

Anywho, booked a $214 winner. Session lowpoint was -$280 (first time I was down over 100BBs since i started playing 1-2) highpoint was like $425.

First hand of the night I get AJo in the cutoff. A straddle and two calls. I make it $22. One caller. Flop Jc8c4x. Checked to me I bet 25. I get check raised to 60 (villian has me covered with ~400.). I call. Turn Kx. check check. River 6c. He bets $75 and I call. He shows pocket 2s and I scoop the pot and am off to a nice start.

I get A9s and theres a straddle and two calls. I make it $28 from the button. Only the straddler callers. Flop A-9-K rainbow. Checked to me I bet $40. I get raised to $90 and I shove. He has 99, oops.

I have 9s10s in a raised pot, 7 callers pre. Flop AsAx5s. Everyone checks. Turn 4s. BB leads for $35 and an older dude with $82 total shoves. I really realllllly felt like they both had an ace here, so I called the $82 and so did the BB. river 3x. BB had AK...old dude had 44 and turned a boat, so we lose a little chunk there.

We have Jc5c in LP. 2 limps and a dude that covers me with ~600 makes it $6. I make it $26. Terrible dude on the button flats, sigh....as does the OR. flop K-J-9 rainbow. checks around. Turn Ace. Checks around. River J. OR checks and I see the dude on the button reaching for chips so I check. He bets like $25 and I check raise to $70. He calls and shows A8o lol.

This hand was pretty ****ty. We have AhKh in the BB. folds to the button ($315) who makes it $6. SB calls and I make it $26. Button calls as does the BB. Flop As-Js-3x. BB checks I check....button bets $45. BB folds. Button has ~270ish behind. I was really miffed at what the most optimal play was right here, as this guy has seen me be pretty splashy with terrible hands. I finally decide jamming would prolly be best, I could rep a flush draw and I doubt he folds AQ,A10 here to me with my image. Turns out he has top 2 and he wins a really big pot from me.

Few hands later I raise 7h8h to $7. Old bitter lady in the BB calls ($235). Flop 4c5c6s. She checks and I bet $15. She check raises to $30. I make it $100 straight and she instant ships. Turn Ax river 9x and she turns over pocket 5s and i scoop. she says "YAH I HAD A SET OF 5s AND U CAUGHT UR STRAIGHT ON THE RIVER JUST GREAT" I didn't even correct her that I flopped it, somehow it felt better her being mad.

I bluffed off like $120 to an old dude before I called my session a few hours earlier than what i had hoped. I think I need to play a little bit tighter in these games. I love having a crazy image but idk if it benefits me THAT much when I have it.

Also that's 10 straight winning sessions at 1-2, biggest downswing 2 buy-ins....only down more than 1 buy-in 1 time, and never down 2 buy-ins at anypoint in the 75 hours. I have to be running fantastic in that regard....I still never ever.....ever flop sets. I think im at 6 or 7 sets flopped in 75 hours.

How could I forget the best hand of the night. I get KhKd and there's a raise to $6 and our buddy who tried bluffing us with 2s the first hand of the night calls. We make it $20. the OR only had like 100 bucks so i wanted to make the raise small enough to keep him in. Our bluffy friend has $200ish. Flop 10-10-3. He leads for $40, I call, OR folds. Turn 8. He bets $60 I call. River 9 he bets $40, I call. He turns over his hand really quick, thought he had a 10 for sure, butnahhh he had the good ole pocket 5s and we scoop.

put in a 5hr sess @ MGM tonight. i really think im gonna go back to MC, despite being able to buy in for 150bbs, the hassle with parking and having to actually take a dinner break is simply making MC more attractive to me.

session totals: 5hr $212 profit.

first 3 hours were the deadest hours of my live poker career. i think i played maybe 5 hands, it was j2o everytime. i had 3 pocket pairs in 5 hours. stole the blinds with Jacks once and won two mediumish pots with aces.

no interesting hands tonight, honestly. tonight was insanely boring. bring back online poker please.

It just takes forever to get from parking to the poker room compared to MC. Plus I've spent $28 each time i've been to MGM on there buffet because it's crowded everywhere else to eat. That's just too much to be spending, plus it keeps me off the felts for 30-45mins.

I'm gonna talk to someone at MC about raising the buyin at 1-2 to $300. Doubt it'll get anywhere but you never know.

I do like how the poker room is isolated from the slots and **** and how there is a bar/club right next to the poker room at MGM, that's pretty sweet.

The only time my heart starts racing while playing live poker is when I get pocket aces. That's it. Not when im allin for a big pot....Not when I flop a set....not when I get Kings. Simply when I get delt the lovely AA. I have no idea why this is.

Pretty sure im done w live poker. Lost $475 my last 1-2 session. Flopped a K high flush to A high flush, then got set over set, yawn.

Tonight I was like **** it, lets go run 2-5 and make some real money. Got down a little early, then got it all in on 237A board with 45 vs a dude with 77. we hold, ship the $1,250ish pot.

We then pickoff a bluff on a 3x8s7s3x3x board with Ace high for a ~400pot

I won another decently sized pot with AA vs a dudes JJ.

Things going great, playing well, not running terrible, the table is deep and looooool bad, and we are up to $2,100ish.

We have JdJc and raise a limp to $20 from the hijack. Button calls and the BB who is terribad makes it $120 with ~300 behind. Dude has been playing really spewy/aggressive. I think for about 10 seconds and decide theres noway im ever folding, and ship it. He calls. Board runs out 9K6A9 and he flips over A10s. Cool ****ing story.

We pickup JcJh on the button. UTG straddles to 10 and some really awful dude with $1,300ish makes it $25. I make it $60, every folds and he calls. Flop Jd6h3s. He checks and I bet $110. He raises me to $310, I call. Turn Kd and he says allin, overbetting the pot by uhmmm alot. I snap call. I really dk wtf he has, I assume KJs or i set over set him. River bricks with the 8s and he flips over KK. **** my ****ing lifeeeee.

A few hands later I get in my ~500ish stack on 8x3h2hQx with Qh8h vs 88 lol. it just never ****ing ends. it will never end. all my hours i put in, gone. There just ****ing gone. I have no desire to play live poker anymore.

Took a few days break and started the new month fresh. Definitely staying at 1-2 the entire month. I'm resetting my stats mentally for this month since I didn't stay on track last month.

July 1: $223 6hr
July 2: $265 5hr
July 3: $333 5hr

Session started off about as badly as it could possibly start. In my first orbit at the table I get QQ and raise to $12 after 2 limps infront of me. Younger dude makes it $32 on the button and has a full stack. Wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do here. Honestly all 3 options are definitely reasonable. I think folding/shoving are definitely inferior to just calling though. I decide to call. Flop AQ6r, cha ching. I check he bets $50. I make it $105 and he ships. After I call he asks "Do you have queens" in a somewhat concerned tone. I'm thinking sweet, he's dead with AK....butnahhhhhhhh. He has the rockets. Down a quick $200.

In my first 30 hands I had Kings twice...Queens 3 times...Jacks once...9s/7s/2s. Never had a rush of PPs like that in my life playing live. Anywho, the only hand I won with was the 2s. After the first hour I was down like $260.

I pickup 8h9h. I raise some old dudes limp to $10. Another older dude behind me calls as does the first old dude. Flop 10h6h3x. Check check old dude bets $30. first old dude folds. I make it $85. Old dude ships for $200 more and I call. turn 6x river Ah. Dude flipped his hand right as the turn card was hitting, 88. If I would of lost that hand im pretty sure I would have left for the day. The guy then told me all about what a terrible call I made, making stacking his chips that much more enjoyable.

That was the only hand I stacked someone on the entire night. Everything else was smallish pots just chipping away. Looking forward to BBQing tomorrow...unsure if ill play or not. I've stopped drinking pop/eating fastfood as one of my goals for this month, so ive felt really sluggish the past few days and that's reflected in the hours ive put in. Hopefully my body adjusts in the next few weeks and i get my energy back.

Bought in right as the Tigers game was starting at 9pm. A few hands in I get KK and re raise some old dude who shoves. He has AK. Board runs out XXXAX and he is victorious. He only had like $120 though, so the blow was softened a little.

A few hands later I pickup 22 and limp behind a few limpers. Flop 2s6s3x. Dude leads for $20 I make it $50 and he shoves for like $85 total. Board runs out 3x6x and he tables 67. fml fml.

An orbit later I get 55 and call an older black womens raise. Flop comes 5 10 6r. She bets $20 I make it $50 she calls. Turn J putting a diamond draw out. She shoves allin for about $80 and I call. She has A10o, no sweat for once, nice.

We get KK on the button. dude utg straddles. 2 callers. I make it $22. BB flats and has $40 behind lol. 2 others call. Flop 7710. BB shoves allin for his $40 and it folds to me. I call. turn and river brick and he flips over A7o. ****ing radical.

I get KK next orbit and make a raise and get 5 callers. Flop comes A107 and theres a lead and 2 calls before it gets to me. Just wanted to put this hand in here to show that i've now lost 7 times in a row with pocket Kings. Doesn't really seem possible at 1-2 but hey.

at about midnight this arabian looking dude sits down with $100. He proceeds to play the absolute worst poker i've ever seen in my life. He never folds pre, bets every flop...if he gets raised and has so much as a gutter ball he's calling.Obviously he runs his stack up to about $1,000.

Over the next hour and a half I get flush over flushed for ~140 and am down $100 or so on the night....it's 2am and im like ****, this is prolly when i need to learn to go home a loser before I get tilted bcuz i get rag after rag with the biggest moron ever on my right. Id also like to add that he liked to stack his chips 40-50 high and knocked them over into my stack twice and all over the floor once....he ordered a jack/coke every half hour.

I tell myself to stop being a bitch that i wont get a more +ev seat in my life so I decide to stay for another hour......wise decision.

Drunk arabian opens to $10 I call with A10o sitting on ~250. everyone else folds. Flop 10x8h6h. He bets $10 and I make it $30. He makes it $70 total. I should have shoved here, looking back, but I flat. Turn Kh. check check. River is like an offsuit 3. He bets $80 and I just think to myself im just not ****ing folding to him. I call and he tables Q10o and we win a nice pot.

A few hands later after he doubled someone else up he's sitting on $350ish. He opens to $15. I have him covered and call with 44. Flop Kd7c4d. He bets $30 and I make it $70. It looks for a second like he's gonna fold but then says...."Here's $40 to call his raise and im allin. I call and he flips AdQd. Turn is the lovelyyyyyyy 7s and we have no sweat. Someone at the table says "it's over. River is the 8d and he jumps up and starts screaming at the top of his lungs "YES YES YES" lol. I felt slightly sorry for him when they started shipping the pot to me and he had to be shown my fullhouse.

He then made a comment about wanting to kill me right now...but he said it laughing so i think he was joking...lol.

He goes and reloads for $100 and he limps in. I make it $10 with Jh8h. He calls. Flops Ks8d6s. He checks and I bet $15. He calls. Turn 5d and he shoves allin for $75. I think for about 5 seconds and call. River Js. He flips 109o for a whole lot of nothing and we scoop.

I played like 3 more hands then I left. Nice hour.

About an hour before I left these two friends sat down. One had sunglasses and a backwards hat and the other a smiley face tshirt and was piss drunk. The drunk friend said the sunglass friend "You always talk about people looking like douches, I can't believe you're wear sunglasses right now"

Sunglass friend then started laughing then took them off. A few minutes later they took smiley faced shirt friend's beer away because it was after 2am. He says "I can't believe this, this nagging is worse than my girlfriends" Sunglass friend responds with "You don't have a girlfriend what are you talking about?" Smiley faced friend chimes back in with "That's part of the story dick, it's just a saying" lol.......

I don't think I've laughed harder at a poker table. They were saying some pretty funny **** the entire time. Both lost all there money tho : /
