Hey ya'll, my name is Jae and I've been playing poker for 10 years now. I had a big 100k downswing right before FTP got shut down and lost the majority of my roll gambling with my bankroll at PLO. I've been grinding and getting staked on sites like Merge, Bovada, etc since then but haven't been able to get anything big going. It was getting pretty difficult to keep up so I got into sales and 4-5 months in I was top rep in my company out of 70 reps! The same month I got my FTP funds back, a little over 7k and after some live grinding I decided to quit my job and go back to full time poker. I plan on using good BR management this time, grinding lots of hours, and never looking back!

Goal:

Have 40-50k BR by the end of the year playing live and be playing 5-10 consistently.

Here are my results so far my first month: I play mostly in LA at Commerce 5-5 3-500 BI and Hawaiian Gardens.



Total BR is at about 11k and up about 6500$ at 1-3 to 5-5 in 115hrs.

Ran pretty cold today but missed some spots where I could've taken down the pots. I only played for 4 hours and lost about $360.

I made a big fold with Aces. My first hand at the table and action went like this:
$500 effective stacks. Villain limps utg, folds around to Hero in BB w AhAc. I raise to 40$, Villain Calls.
Flop Q10ss4x CB $50, Villain insta looks at my bet and makes it $150. I tank folded for a few reasons:

These players generally play very passive to bets. I open fairly wide for 9 handed and barrel a lot which allows me to take down a ton of pots. He did not even think about whether to call or fold or even bothered to think about what I had which led me to believe he had 2pair, set, or very least str8 flush draw, nut flush draw w/ pair.

Also does anyone know of a good live HH converter?
