I'm 19 years old from Argentina i'm currently studying to become a private pilot, and im also working. I started at first playing poker for play money on stars, i'd play once in awhile and managed to make like 2M play chips, once a friend offered me 5 bucks for 1 million and i accepted, i played some sng's but then decided to start playing cash games, somehow i managed to be a winning player @ NL2, then i actually started reading strategy and im currently @ 1K+ bankroll. My idea is to turn this into a 5k bankroll by the end of 2011, and as soon as 2012 starts ill be playing mostly 100NL CAP FR working really hard to reach SNE which would give me a 100k+ profit by being breakeven.

I really dont have the personality ofa gambler (something that is cool but also brings me some trouble cuz im reaalllyyyyy conservative with my bankroll) i usually like to play limits where im overrolled, i mean having 150 BI+, Kind of cool though that by breaking even thanks to the stars VIP program we can make over 100k profit.

I really hate though this part of the game: People usually when it comes to poker they start thinking about guys in the casino losing everything and bla bla bla, it really pisses me off and its kinda hard to explain to someone who is not really into it that if you work hard, have a good bankroll managment and try to improve all the time then you will be a winning player (whether or not you make a living out of it) W/E though i guess i shouldn't care about how people see us as im sure of who am i and what i do

Soooo.. my idea idea is to play nl5, nl10 and sngs until reach the 5k mark by the end of this year, next year grind really hard nl100 cap and maybe after a couple of months when i get some of VIP rewards start playin also nl100 as a BSS. so here we go! (sorry if i mispelled something my english might not be the best

Current Bankroll: $1.003.89

Large field mtt pros dont use 1000bi bankroll.
U def dont need br that big ...
Anything above 50 bi for cash is overkill for recrational player

you are probably right, but as im going to be playing CAP tables im gonna be under a loooooooooooot of variance, maybe a 3k roll or even less would be just fine to start, but i have this year to boost my roll up to 5k which would be kinda safer.

I dont have much experience in cap games but am looking into them cause I might start also at some point. $5k is now where near enough of a br to make a sne pursuit imo, i mean 50bi's to 100nl pffffff try 150/200bi's, might be different for cap im not sure.

I mean have you calculated how many hands, hours per day ect ect its going to take to hit sne grinding only 100nl cap cause its a lottttttt. Good luck im kinda doing the same thing so I hope you get there but think that your br will need to be much bigger to sustain the swings. Playing nl100 youl need to have 24 tables going for like 6hrs a day at a guess to make sne, one downswing with all your tables running could be a disaster.

no no, the idea isn't to start with 50BI, that would be pretty suicidal. The buy in @ NL100 CAP is $20 , i want a 5k roll to start the pursuit that makes 250BI. I'll need to play for about 6 hours a day 24 tabling playing 9k hands/day, maybe if things go right i might mix in some nl100 CAP 6max, and some nl200 CAP, that would make it a lot faster

Oh, um I might start playing some nl50 cap then if the bi there is $10 and coming from mtt's im much better at ss decisions that playing deep plus they may be easier to multi table. Have you played them much?

i used to play nl10 shortstack when the shallow tables existed, then pokerstars closed 'em and started to play BSS, i dont have that much experience but might as well before starting next year with this goal practice @ nl50 CAP
