yesterday I played the remainder of my BR after cashing most of it out during a bad downswing. Fear has certainly gotten the best of me the past few months as I try to beat the worst run of bad cards I've ever seen. I've taken hits before but always pulled it all back with little sweat time.

well, after loosing my last set of buy-ins on FTP I decided to go play 3/6 limit at Morongo Casino around 9pm last night. I played for 2 hours and profited $170. The game was incredibly soft and gave me the slap in the face I've been needing for a while now.

I am going to deposit this profit and use it as a roll on stars to begin grinding 6 max NLH cash and 27 man SNG's. I feel a good amount of optimism in my ability to recover quickly and get my BR at a healthy state once again. I will post my progress as I can. I work part time and go to school full time so my schedule is pretty crazy with poker thrown in the mix.
Its all about time management I guess.

Its really sucks having to grind for pennies again but. . . . It is what it is and moving forward is all I want to do. cmoooooooon!

Feeling pretty good this morning. Woke up around 7:30 because I forgot to turn my alarm off. Meh, I'm an early bird anyway.

a couple weeks ago I started making a conscious effort to develop a healthy morning routine. Breakfast, coffee, shower, small workout/stretch, and a little bit of reading to get my mind right. Although it hasn't yet shown through my results, I think it has done wonders to my game and over all mentality.

I'm going to start my first session around 10am. It will include 3 $5 NL 6max games on both PS and FTP for a total of 6 tables. I will play no longer than 4 hours.

Let run good please

Hey OP, best of luck on your challenge! My one tip may be to consolidate your bankroll on one site or the other to keep you from going busto in one and losing confidence. Variance could put you down 10 buy-ins no problem, wouldn't want you to have to give up that easily!

I started with a similar bankroll a week or so ago. My game has been the $3 90-man knockout SNGs on fulltilt, which I have found extremely light, and profitable. I suck at cash, and never play, but if your looking for some tournament tips I'd be happy to try and help you out a bit. GL!

Thank you Thank you!

I thought about putting it all on one sight but I figured there is no better time than now to try and get it going on both FTP and PS. I went ahead and put $50 of the $170 on each site. I will still have $70 to invest If i do happen to bust. Thank you for your offer to help with mtt's. I am also an avid mtt grinder but am now looking to expand my game to cash and mts's. I have a strong foundation in all three but am stronger in mtt's.

I just finished my first session of $5 NL 6max after two hours. I ran very smoothly and showed a total profit of $35.29.

I put extra attention on polarizing my preflop 3b range, ip of course. It seemed to work out very nicely. I was very surprised at how often they called my 3bets and folded to my cbet. I was 4bet only 3 times the entire two hours.

I love it.

Today I'm up at 5:30am ready to get things going. I have class every night but friday, Saturday and Sunday and I also work 3 days a week which makes grinding very difficult but its the best way for me to build a roll without having to cash out to pay those damn bills.

Today I plan on playing a good session before heading off to school to crank out a paper on leadership, then to class from 6-10pm.
Fun times.

Im not too sure yet but I will probably be playing $2 27 mans on FT starting around 7:30. I will post my progress before I leave for school.

Lets run good please. QRB ASAP!!!!!!!!!

Just finished up for the day after 4 hours of grinding and a total profit of $27.17 .

I ended up playing 12 $2 27mans on FT and 4 hours of $5 NL 6max on stars. I certainly could be putting in more tables at a time but I'm going to wait until I can afford to brick more bi's before I start doing more than eight at once.

I felt like I played my A game the entire session. I ran pretty bad in a lot of key spots. Made some sick ss recoveries though.

Finishes:

Most of today's profit came from the 27mans.
man they are baaaaaaaaaaaad.

I'm off to school until 10pm. Then work tomorrow. I will be anxiously waiting for the weekend to continue grinding. I'll be putting in some training hours after work Thursday and Friday.

OK, I realized I never really spelled out any type of specific goal for this thread. As far as poker goes, I think monetary goals work backwards for me. when I'm worried about making a specific amount of money in a specific amount of time my focus deters from whats REALLY important and I loose sight of my A-game. This happens to me any time I chase anything for money.

Rather, my mission is:
1. To perpetually improve my poker game in every aspect I possibly can.
2. To perpetually improve my standard of living on all levels.

These are not only goals but also guidelines. If playing poker is not accomplishing both of the former, I should certainly reevaluate what I'm doing.

This line of thinking works best for me. I win when I see it clearly.

Woke up at 5am anxious to get some work done. Showered, coffeed, bageld and cream cheesed, and then felt good for a quick walk downtown to watch the sun come up. This is the most peaceful time of the day for me.

I am going to try to keep grinding all day. Once again I will be playing $2 27 mans on FT and $5 NL 6max on PS. Last night I Played a $1r6max on Stars while watching a few PXF vids. I cleared only half the field with a loss of $5 but it was a good training session none the less. Well worth $5.

Hopefully I have a freakishly good day. I want out of this $2 27man circuit and into stakes I can make more money! . . . . But like my pops always says, "baby steps".

I will post my progress later today.

Its been a long day indeed. I really enjoyed grinding today despite the pretty big swings. So far these $5 NL 6max games have been so soft. I went for 6 $2 27 mans today and brickd um all. Made up the difference in the 6max.

I spent most of the day 8 tabling. It felt pretty easy and natural. I was able to 3b and 4b air pretty often without getting called. That was good.

After 3 sessions I have doubled my rolls on both sites

Today's profit: +$58

Its slow but, at least its forward.

Been a slow start this morning. Kicked it with my brother for a bit last night after grinding all day. That was some much needed chill time. I really don't ever drink but decided to have one and just relax, something I don't do often.

I spent yesterday grinding $5 NL 6max and had a pretty good run. I think sng's are on today's schedual, though I'm not 100%.

Time for breakfast, a bit of reading, quick snap to the dome, and I think ill be ready for another long day of grinding for pennies. lol

GL MEEEEE!
