I'm really sorry for the very long wait in between updating either this post or my blog, I had a bit of a weird/rough time breaking up with my long term gf which coincided with the worst downswing I've ever had!

Here's my husng graph for the year featuring the downswing, most of which I have now recovered :-)

It doesn't take a mathematical genius to see that I'm well off the pace at the moment which is a combination of not having had the motivation over the past few months due to real life *h*t, and the downswing which has been a combination of run bad and play bad.....in all honestly probably shifting slightly towards the play bad!

You've probably heard the whole rhetoric before but from first hand experience I'd recommend that people don't bother playing if there are non poker related issues that can affect your game......I'm pretty sure that a VERY high percentage of the time when I've barrelled off a buyin this year has been in the midst of an argument with my ex!

400k VPPS in 2 months

I'm not too sure which method I'm going to choose yet but I have two options.

I can either:

Play 200 $500 games per day 7 days a week
Grind $200 6 max Hyper turbo sit and goes ( again I'd need to play around 200 per day)

Obviously my forte is HUSNG, although I have some experience in ICM since I used to grind 9 men sit and goes a few years back. The positive to playing the 6 max hypers is that it'd be easier to get in the volume, although I'd assume the variance in them could drive me insane.

Let me know what you guys think is my best line !

hw many tables do you play when playing HU? if its 3 its snapcall HUSNGs, if its 2 its close if its only one its snapcall 6max hypers imo

I always try and reg for 3 at a time, but most of the time there's only actually 2 tables up.

I think if i did go for the husng option I'd have to play a bunch of games against regs as I probably wouldn't be able to get into the $500 lobby 200 times per day

Its pretty likely you are not gonna profit from playing the 200$ hyperturbos pre rakeback because even the best that focus on 6max hyper only struggle with it on the 200 buyin level. I'd recommend some kind of mix imo, that way you have ur game where u good at and a vpp booster, if this is a mix at the same time or in shifts im not sure but thats the best way i think.

Also, when you are doubting to quit the chase, just think of the extra 20k equity for 2013 if u make it again. GL man,

Sorry maybe I didn't explain myself properly.

Basically I could get 200 games in a day but it would require me to play multiple games/war against regs...the way the current lobby system works is that most regs try and stay out of each other's way because unless the reg is very weak it's not really worth the time.

Obviously because I need to accumulate VPP's a.s.ap I might just have to do this

Sup Leon, played with you down the Western once, the one of two times I've been down there, in the tourney and then later in cash. Playing shorthanded it was hilarious watching you crush by making fish like jason tenant call off your value bets and fold monsters to you when your range is mostly bluffs.

But anyways it would be cool to see you complete the challenge now, whatever way you do it!

The grind starts from today!

61 days left in the year and I need to make 417124.90 VPP's.

I decided for the first few days I'm going to play solely HUSNG's each day and see how many VPP's it's possible to make doing 12-14 hour days with small breaks every couple of hours.

I have spoken to a coach for 6 max Hyper SNG's who's going to focus mainly on the ICM side of things, and once this is done I'll mix some of these ( around 100 per day) into my grind. I just hope that I run okay in them because this really wouldn't be a good time of the year to run badly!

57 days left, give or take 50 of those you play for 10 hours a day.
Each table allows for an average of 17 games per hour. Here are some options:

- 4 tabling 26k 100s and 8k 200s = 416k VPPs
- 4 tabling 26k 100s and 5k 200s and 3k 300s = 434k VPPs
- 3 tabling 12k 100s and 8.5k 200s and 5k 300s = 404k VPPs
- 2 tabling 9k 200s and 5k 300s and 3k 500s = 398k VPPs
- 2 tabling 8k 200s and 4k 300s and 2.2k 500s and 1.2k 1000s = 400k VPPs

Good luck mate, rooting for you but it's going to be a tough one!
