Hi i'm Devin, full time 25nl and 50nl player playing for a living and doing it pretty damn well. Here is my story!

So after doing well at live 1/3 and 2/5 and playing for a living I was forced to move and now I live to far from a casino to do it on a regular basis. So I moved back to playing online and I have bout 12k hands this month winning at 25nl and 50nl, but honestly 6max bores me and I wanted to do something new so I was considering Jackpots, but they are to high variance I think, I considered cash HU but the market for that here in the US is pretty slim, so I was really looking at playing HU hypers. I have a friend who I was talk to about this who usually buys action in me for tournaments cash or w.e I play. And we talked for a while about it and he decided he wanted to loose some money and bet against me. So he bet me I couldn't transition to HU hypers and have the kind of success I have had this year in cash games. I thought about it and originally he offered me 2.5k straight up, after thinking about it and the amount of risk I'm taking I got him to offer me 2.5k at 2-1 in my favor (I win 5k I loose 2.5k) I decided this was a decent deal, not great because I am taking a pretty freaking big risk, but it wasn't a bad deal considering that if I fail or succeed is completely in my hands.


So after agreeing on the amount we had to hash out some more details and due to some military schools I Have to do that will limit my grind time for up to 8 weeks at a time we agreed on a 1 year bet starting August 10th going to August 10th of 2016.

Basically for me to win I have to show that I can not only win at the micros but make it up to 20.00$ HU hypers and be a winning player at that stake. Winning is considered 55% ITM (so just over even) for at least 10k games.

Since I play for a living I am allowed to withdraw at any time however much I need, play as often or as little as I choose. And I can redeposit as often as I want but I can not deposit so much that my account exceeds 1k.

BRM is not included in the bet since I do play for a living and my BR is basically my entire bank account.

But I am till going to follow basic BRM and try to stick with 150-200 BIs min.

I am also allowed to sell up to 80% of my action when ever I want and for how ever long I want.

So that's the bet.
I am making a 2k investment up front
$750.00 for the BR
$1250.00 for coaching and HU specific software.

I will try to update this daily with graphs, updates, goals, thoughts, hands, and pretty much anything else that comes to mind.

OK so update number 1!

really not much to put here. Took the entire weekend off from poker, well got drunk and played some strip poker at about 6 in the morning with strippers yesterday so if you can count that then I guess I played.

Got some goals I should prob add here.

Goal 1: work on military pt test score
weekly goals
do 1k push ups
1k sit ups
run 5 miles

Goal 2: Put in volume.
100 games a day is the goal

Goal 3: ROI%
Maintain min 3.5% ROI

That's about it. I'm gonna start tomorrow due to some military service that might happen this week so we shall see!

Also i'm gonna post a graph atleast weekly maybe twice. Gonna try to post hands 3 or 4 times a week as well!

I played 53 Hyper HU Sngs 2.50s
finished -5.02

But I ran horrible.
I'm new to HU so I'm not to sure how normal it is to have crazy variance but if its the norm its gonna take some getting used to. Deff can be a bit tilting when u just can't finish a guy off With KK and then a few hands he doubles again when u have AA and he eventually comes back and beats u when u had him down to like 4 BBs.

So that's gonna take some getting used to for sure.

Any way.
I got some goals I wanna work on to improve my game.
Number one is to work on BB and SB hand charts

Besides that not much happened today back to the grind tomorrow.

wait a minute. 55% is just above even? What's the rake? because 55% itm in hu hypers is superlolcrushing
I had 5.47% roi at 7s (which is good roi) and that's 53.89% itm. At 15s on stars a 55% winrate would be about 8% roi

Tired of empty tables we agreed to switching to jackpots

So started my transition to jackpots last night. Must say if i can keep myself from tilting i can see how these can be very profitable.

I do get annoyed when i constantly get suckes out on when im ahead so ive decided that when i make a decision auch as to shove or call all in pre. That ill make the best decision i can then continue playing and not watch the flop. I know if i make the best decision i will win in the long run so i just need to stop stressing about a few beats in a high variance game
