People ask us every day why we strive to be the best in a game which we can't control. Where one single card decides about winning, or losing. They say it's a gamble. They say, it's just a game. They, are not us. We work hard to put the odds in our favour, for that one big score, that one huge bluff, that one moment, where the sucker kisses his chips goodbye. To us, poker is everything. But thanks for asking.
Welcome to my first PG&C thread!

I've been playing poker for several years, with limited succes. I've played SNG's, cashgames and MTT's but never really broke through. After ~1.5 years of grinding 50nl I got bored as hell and decided I needed some changes.

After not playing MTT's for a long time I decided to get back into them. I never really studied MTT's but decided to put some effort in looking into new concepts and analyzing my game. My volume since May hasn't been that great, but at least the profit is.

Recently I've opened a Pokerstars.FR account since the structures of a lot of tourneys are looking good, and I hear different people talking about how soft the field is. I also like the smaller fields, I'm not really into these massive 1k+ runner fields unless there's a sunday major.

At this point I'm not yet able to play on PS.fr since my postal adress isn't confirmed yet. However, I expect to receive a letter this week so I hope I can begin playing with the frenchies before next weekend.

In the meantime I'll be reading ''Kill Everyone'' which I recently bought. I've already read some pages and I must say it looks promising.

That's it for now, I'll give you updates soon!

Ty!

I've not yet thought about goals, I find it kind of difficult for MTT's to set goals. I don't really know how much volume I am able to do, and I'm not really into setting money goals (especialy in mtt's). Besides that I'll be going on vacation in 2,5 weeks so I guess I'll think about specific goals after that.

I did see that on the 14th of september there is a €250 sunday million at PS.fr, I hope I can make enough money by then so I can take a shot at it. I might just invest some of my own money (not my poker roll) to play in that event. It has a really good structure with 20k starting chips and 20 minute blind levels, and lasts 3 days

Little update; played some MTT's this morning on PS.eu, no big scores. Played the MM $11 super KO, mincashed that with 3 KO's so a little bit of profit there. Also ran pretty deep in $3.30 2x turbo but got knocked out with just a couple of tables left.

I've received an e-mail from PS.fr that my activation code has been send to my home adress. It can take up to 5 business days to get here, but I hope it'll be here before friday so I can play on .fr this weekend.

That's it for now, going to hit the gym now and will probably be back tomorrow!

Gl . Where u from being able to play on the eu site as well?

Hmm a 3 day Sunday million? Seems that would discourage recreational players which is kinda the attraction of playing a Sunday millions event anyway. Saying that .fr is a soft site.

Gl again play on .fr as well so will keep an eye on this thread.

ty, will see u at the tables

I'm from the Netherlands so am able to play on pretty much every site

Yeah, the sunday million will probably attract a lot of regs, but I still think there will be plenty of fish and bad regs in the tournament. Besides that, satty's are already running, 52 days before the tournament even starts.

I never played such a structure and it is kind of a big prizepool, so I just want to experience such a mtt once. idc if there are more regs than usual

Little update; still no letter from PS. Hope it'll be here tomorrow, otherwise it can take till tuesday..

I haven't played a lot recently, a few mtt's here and there but no big scores.

First final table on .fr is a fact. Not a big one but it's a milestone I guess.. Became 9th after 33 < AQ and right after that AJ < AT, oh well

Played a couple of MTT's after I verified my account, big 30, hot 20 some KO's, didn't make the money in any of them by losing crucial flips, didn't play that bad. Will play some more tonight or tomorrow morning. Competition seems soft enough, hopefully I can make a big weekend

Yea it wasn't the buy in that made me think it will not have many recreational players playing as the Sunday millions is full of fish, was more the fact it was a 3 day event and recreational players may be put off by that.

    Regardless good luck, run well.

Finally some results. Made about €60 euro's in the €20 Midi Hyper Express, was down to last 3 tables but couldn't double up in a flip.

Also nice results in a €30 progressive superKO, became 3th. Was a meh FT, only 1 good player, started 2nd in chips but lost quite a big flip AJ < 66. But yeah 3rd place, at least I have a good impression from these couple of days of playing, the field is definately soft even at buyins of €30, which you don't see a lot at PS.eu

      GG

Hi guys. Long time no see, had a very nice vacation for almost 3 weeks in Greece and Spain. I came back last week, didn't play a hell of a lot, came deep in a couple of MTT's and just finished first for $1.2k at 888 My first bink since the thread

So short about my vacation; I went to a soccer match, Malaga - Athletic Bilbao. It was a very intense match, 2 red cards and the keeper of bilbao scored in the last minute, but the goal was disapproved. The whole stadium went crazy. The supporters were singing from the beginning till the end, really good atmosphere!

Here are some pics of the match:
      Spoiler:

Also played some live 2/5 nl in the casino in Benaldanema or something, really soft competition. It seemed that there were like 2 or 3 decent players at my table, the rest were fish coming and going, dumping 100 euro stacks (the min buyin) on the table. So earned about 300 euro's in 2 nights of play, which is nice

Even the dealers were terribad, most of them couldn't speak english properly and they made 2 mistakes (letting a player call while the action already going further since the player was away from the table when it was his turn, and a board misread). I tried to explain them but they didn't understand me, oh well

Thats the update for today, maybe I'll play some mtt's tomorrow evening, but I'm pretty sure I'll put some volume at sunday. Seeya!

Hey guys. It has been over a week ago since my last update so I figured it would be nice to give you some info about what has been going on lately.

I started my minor in online marketing, didn't have a lot of time to play since I needed to find a company who wants me to improve their website (things like SEO/SEA).

I have just played a couple of tournaments in the meanwhile, no huge scores, did make 2 or 3 ft's but couldn't manage to bink one. Did manage to make $400~ since the beginning of the challenge which is nice I guess. I do need to up the volume though, but it'll come, dont worry

I also made an account on winamax.fr, received the verification code today so maybe I'll play some mtt's there as well if I'm in the mood for the software
