I'm considering this however I feel its always important to be paid for your time on a regular basis even if it is only very small at the start.

I read Richard Branson auto biography and in there he says this. He states that its important in your business plan to reward yourself at every stage with regular payments but the key is to keep them at a X% of profits but keep them regular.

He says doing this will let your lifestyle increase only as far as your business success allows and this keeps your business goals on track and inline with your personal goals.

Yes I can miss the first few months cashing out no big deal but then I could also attempt 10NL with $150 roll or do this or that or whatever. Once you stray away from the guidelines you set out once it becomes easy to do it whenever it suits you.

This can then lead to your lifestyle over taking your business success and ultimately leading to failure because of bad discipline and not sticking with what made u successful in the first place.

well you gotta think of poker as business . A start up company doesint hand out cash to its investors for a long time. Usually when the company stops expanding and finds its market. Yours will be when you find your limit. From personal experience its good to never cash out and find your optimal limit asap your not gonna be moving up forever in todays poker climate thats not realistic you might stop at nl25. Its hard to do for financial reasons but its really really hard to move up limits if your cashing out even in the low stakes.

That's a great response thanks. Unfortunately if I cant get to at least 100NL I wont be doing this past December 2014. Well not fulltime anyway I really enjoy the game so if it doesn't work out ill continue to play part time.

Id like to be at 25NL by end of the year.

$5k/mo in Australia is like 2x adult minimum wage, don't know if anyone ITT realizes that.
