Not at all, I do it to let him jam AQ+, 99+ (I fold to 6b) and get in a 5b pot with his 4b bluffs. Or just let him fold his 4b bluffs, both will do.

I was just clicking buttons in that hand actually, too tired. I just noticed stacks were big enough for some fold equity, I had a blocker and I could rep the nuts very well, didnt really thought about his hand had less than 100hands on villain fwiw.

Played a whopping 6.8k hands today to finish the challenge.
      Results:

Failed big time on both timeframe (lool 20 days became 44) and EV bb/100, which is disappointing

Def ran bad in 4b pots, set vs sets, when villain raised flop, pre setups and seat drawings. Got only 430 Aces over 100k hands But obv flipped very good, just not today. Set% 12.4 is also pretty nice. Prob also ran good in a number of ways I dont realise.

Not completely unhappy with the challenge because 3.9 EV bb/100 over 100k hands not cherry picked, in a tough midstakes game in 2012 isnt that embarrasing. And I made 33k which is nice obv: 27.1k on the tables 4.8k rb 1k boom promo. 215$/h not including other ringgames or tourneys I played on the side.

Feel like this thread helped me increase volume and reducing spew a bit. So I'm just gonna redo the challenge and keep updating the thread, but I will be a little more realistic in my goals:

125k hands of 500NL Zoom from now on till 1st of December.
      5 EV bb/100.

If I can do that I go back to 1kNL+
If not I condemn myself to another 125k hands of Zoom

No real though process other then let's hope he folds eventhough he will do that like max 20% of the time here. Blatant spew

If I can just stop doing things like this 5bb/100 cant be that hard, can it?

haha love the small bet on the turn to induce

question: you play just 1 table of zoom? how many hands per hour is that?
            10-26-2012 , 11:59 PM
Course he doesn't play 1 table of zoom. He plays 4 and for me that's about 650 hands/hour.

GL. That QJ hand is quite ridiculous. I thought you were being serious about the games getting tougher at first. People like king10clubs, zugwat playing lots, it is a damn tough line up. That's why I love this thread, so impressive to see you crushing it.
            10-27-2012 , 12:44 AM
Yeah 4 tabling obv, though its more like 820 hands/hour, sometimes adding 2-3 tables tourneys or some 1knl too.

Bit too tired to make a long post, but first 3 days of the new challenge went really well:
8.8 EV bb/100 over 17k hands. Dropped 1k trying to get Boom hands to SD but failed miserably, got only 1.

No super interesting hands, just people spewing and me being solid (uhmm most of the time atleast ) and collecting all the monies.

I dont play on PS so I have no idea how fast zoom is, not so obv for me

about the 4/5betting: I think min5betting is so baaad. When u 5betshove u have the fold equity and showdown equity which is at worst like 20 percent extra to win the pot. when u min5bet u only have FE

Gues I should start playing 500NL zoom than ^^

              Thx for all the gl's

              @ Matt
Same can be said for 3betting/4betting. By your reasoning the only good move pre would be to shove because thats the only way you'll always realise your showdown equity

              @ Everyone pming me:
I'm not a coach (I think I still beat the games ), and definitely not a free coach. If you have questions related to the challenge, or related to hhs I posted here, or 500NL Zoom in general, or related to me as a poker player or stuff I post here ... go ahead and post them here, and I'll probably answer. I wont help with other random questions or requests, private questions etc...

Ha at your coach thing. I am very wary of this as well. Would you say that in your opinion most of the regs crushing these days MSNL+ are not "known" players? In the same token, you did out your SN and post many of your hands here, do you not think this hurts your game in a similar way that coaching might hurt theirs (obv not to as big of an extent).

Or did you simply mean that you would never coach unless you needed it as extra income?

Would you say anything major helped you advance from 50nl through 100nl and 200nl? Kinda aha moments/ useful resources or just playing?

Also with J5 are you shoving because it wiill be percieved as villain as a bad river to bluff and you still have some 3x and fh's plus he can be vbetting fairly thin (QQ etc)
Seems like your value range is super thin otr, but i'm probs completely misunderstanding the hand.

Ye I'd say most MSNL crushers are relative unknowns.
Outing SN and posting hands may give away some free information I'd better be hiding, but I dont think it's gonna have a huge impact on how opponents play vs me. Making a video (and being honest in the video about your game) would prob significantly hurt winrate. I dont really think individual coaching would have a significant impact because you prob wouldnt play enough hands with your trainee.

Well I wouldnt say no to some variance free, stress free money if its really close or better than my hourly, but atm I still like playing and 'coaching myself' more than I would like coaching someone else.

About the J5s hand, because he minraises pre I think I have enough fhs in my range to credibly raise this river, I'd prob play 77, 33, K3, 43, 73s this way most of the time too.

Advancing from 50NL through 100NL and 200NL was for me just a matter of bankroll and not running super bad. Went pretty fast from 25NL (where I started after luckboxing 1k with tourneys) to 50NL and think I could already beat 100NL 200NL at that time (atleast 100NL 200NL on Everest) but didnt had the roll and ran 70BI+ under EV when I was taking my shots at 100NL, 200NL so just couldnt move up until I started running 'normal' (70Bi under EV at your highest stakes is pretty damn harsh when you're just starting out with poker, dont have a decent roll yet and arent used to the swings, so tilted a lot too)
                Graph from those days:

2 breakeven days at 500NL now, but bumhunted 1knl-10knl a bit and won my money there. 500Nl focus wasnt very good but felt like playing A-game in the bigger games.
Made some good big calls and many bad small calls.

                      nh with KK

Pretty weird turn jam with QT, you think the fish is more drawy/mergey in this spot with 8x/7x/4x? Spot seems like it would be 3barrelled a bunch.

Made a citytrip to Amsterdam, but with my family def need to go there again with friends someday
So didnt played a lot of poker last few days

                      About QTs hands
Yeah he was 3betting and barreling a lot so def lots of pair + draw type of hands who where gonna call. And good 8x, JJ-99 were calling too i think, so I think there was enough value in a jam. (also didnt wanna let his overcards freeroll)

How many posts/page do you have? Don't think I got that much worse

VPP/hand is already posted itt, don't remember exact amount but prob between 0.55-0.6 VPP /hand

5kNL sooo addictive, and I cant take 500NL seriously (making lolnitty prefolds, not remembering flop action by the time we reach river etc, ... ) when I've some 5kNL going on. So for the sake of the challenge (and br) I selfrestricted 5kNL+
                      but first took another 10k
