Yes we thought about it, but nah we'd much rather live here grinding the micros then going home and stacking shelves.... We are staying here until we are forced to go home... Hahahah when you come here we will get you ****ed on $4 ($1 is for a balloon or a ride home), believe me :P

Been here almost 9 months never had any real problems... The Cambodians seem like very friendly people, we even go to khmer only clubs and they love us there lol

Yeah we both love it here, moving out of England was the best thing we ever did.... If only we knew what we knew now when we first came here...

Not sure if its been mentioned in this thread but there is a fair bit of bar hopping going on taking advantage of all the special deals and promotions. You can get 12-14 beers, 2 buckets (8-10 whiskey shots) and 3 free shots of whiskey/orange/grenadine. Thats cost you $4, so we say 5 cuz we always need a ride home but if you dont need a ride home you can get a baloon or whatever

Start at 9pm, last deal ends at 2am....

How many people does that involve chipping in $4 dollars, and is that beacuse you worked there or everybody can get that?

You get that whole lot for $4 each, and no special treatment, We used to get special treatment at JJ's as we used to work there from the western promo guys but now all the've all changed...

Nitrous oxide i think... a balloon you inhale and get a crazy high for 30 secs or so, very fun.... we used to do so many but max 1 per night now.... i actually have a balloon tattoo on my foot i love them

How many English/non Cambodians live where you are at?
Do you drive around or walk/buses?

Never tried them, but there was groups doing them all around us in utopia...looked fun. On the subject of that place I don't remember seeing worse condition pool tables/equipment in the world, ever. Lol. Read somewhere that a Scottish tourist drowned in the pool there too?

What about drugs in cambodia? is weed legal and if not, does anyone care?
I have heard that many asian countries are very strict with drugs...?

Just knowing things like prices/places to eat, not to party so much then we would be in such a better spot now

- Most do speak some English, more among young people... We both know a little khmer, so we get by :P
- There are 15 rooms (I think) where we live, all westerners..
- We walk a lot. And a moto is never more than $1 from anywhere in the city...


Yeah they are fun, I recommend trying one :P Erm, I don't really go to Utopia anymore but yeah they have the worst pool tables in Sihanoukville... And yes, I did hear a story of some guy jumping into the pool with no water and killing himself, or something similar... :S


They are $1 each. I went through a phase of doing like 10 per night. I've seen a Norwegian guy do like 80+. One of the bosses of the late night bars done around 70 and went crazy, tried to drown a girl because "she was annoying him"... I've seen people do go crazy after doing like 30+

Weed is illegal, but no one cares, you can smoke pretty much anywhere, just a way for police to make a few extra $$... We've never had any problems with police and drugs.... The security guard at the bar we worked at is a part time police man, part time drug dealer...

These are just for you, these were taken at a "khmer" only night club...me and yazz turn up in vests shorts and flipflops or even barefoot, down the rest of the last whiskey bucket and bop in after a quick chat with randoms outside....every khmer is dressed smart lol.
