The deal is making any student that plays >PLO50 with 4 weeks of coaching the biggest winner, the amount of students doesen't matter since we can only choose one of them (the biggest winner) . So i've put togheter a 4 week crash course of :

8x recorded sessions (two each week). The student will record himself playing and i'll review it and leave comments, i'll give homework in form of videos to watch on whatever leak i'll find (3b pots, blind plays, OOP play etc)

4x Vision work (One each week) ( We'll review trouble hands in Vision and talk about different strategies)

"24/7" Service. ( I need beauty sleep lol ) Send me handhistorys that you felt you played poorly or just diden't know how to play em.

We discussed whether we should do this for free or for a fee, and settle on $100 for all 4 weeks on which all money will be donated to a charity of our choice ( Save the children)

So if you're struggling with low stakes PLO and need coaching hit me up with a DM.

Can I check a hand with you? I'm pretty sure I butchered it but just want to check how many times I butchered it

Sadly it was on Party so can't post the raw HH and have to describe action. I'm playing fast forward (so no real reads), starting the hand with 300bb and in MP.

                    KQK4

Pre-flop: I open for pot (3.5x). BTN sitting on 400bb calls. BB (100bb) 3bets for 14bb. Do you call or 4b here?

I opt for call and BTN calls too.

                    Flop: AT7

A pretty huge flop for my hand but a shame it's not a nut flush draw i've got.

BB fires 30bb into a 44bb pot. Call or raise here?

I call the BB bet. A bit concerned about BTN who has me covered.

BTN raises to 100bb. BB calls and is all in.

Pot is 260bb at this point in time, do you call the additional 60bb/muck hand/jam?

                    Turn: I peel and it's 9

I'm sitting on 190bb, pot is 330bb. Check to BTN who shoves.

Call or close your eyes and fold?

(I went for option 2. River was 2. BTN had JTT8 and BB AAT8)

                    Hi m8!

You diden't say your position but i'm assuming since btn called you where EP/UTG , I'd just call the 3b vs bb 3b, unless he's totally braindead, his 3b vs UTG is alot strong that any other position due to the fact that he'll be OOP the whole hand, and your UTG opening range is the strongest of any position so his range is AA heavy.

I'd muck flop, our hand looks alot stronger than it actually is, but since Ac isen't on the board villain could both have topset and nutflush here and your drawing dead.

I was in MP for the hand.

Surprised about mucking flop. Not totally dead, also have a gutshot straight draw + backdoor diamond draw

If we change it to 100bb effective stacks and it's heads up against BB are you still folding flop or would you try peel to get to turn or river cheap?

                                The problem is :
                                1. Villains range will be alot stronger OOP than like a normal CutoffvsButton situation.
                                2. Ac isen't on the board so not only can villain have topset+nfd that causes us to draw to some r-r miracel.
                                3. Even if he 3b wide, he still have a ton of Axx rundowns like AJT9ds, most often w the nutflushdraw.
                                4. Our hand block some of the combination villain can have that jams flop that isen't AAxx or AAxx like QcJcT9 KQcJcT.
                                5. We can't really "peel to get to turn or river cheap" since the SPR will be less than 1 OTT.

ugh....sometimes I look at your hands and it makes me feel like i've got no idea how to play this game.

How is Q658ds good for stacking off pre-flop? You would surely have to assume your flush draws could be dominated and your hand isn't very well connected. I guess if you're up against two AAxx hands then you've got some live cards and fairly ok equity.

5982ds: Is that a player dependent hand? I'd personally be folding and not bothering with that hand as it looks ugly to me but we obviously think differently. Flush draws could have been dominated in that hand as well.

Q865ds isen't the ideal hand for stacking off 4way as you said atleast one of our flushdraws will be dominated, but when your given 4-1 on your money i'll gamble with the fishes.

5982ds: Yea, i saw him call JJ65rb from sb and he's opening 65% from UTG so i'm 3b him pretty much any ds hand IP here all day long, vs a normal none spewy guy i'd only 3b like 5986ds. Once we get 4b by sb we have an easy call IP. We hit a dream flop so easy stackoff.

                                                        Preflop: Hero is CO with 8 5 6 Q
UTG raises to $1.75, MP folds, Hero raises to $6, BTN calls $6, SB folds, BB raises to $10.62, UTG raises to $44.11, Hero raises to $52.56 and is all-in, BTN raises to $58.49 and is all-in, BB calls $0.01, UTG calls $14.38

It's not really 4-1 though is it? BB is all in for $10.62, UTG is 140bb deep and is close to putting you all in by 4betting to $44.11. When it gets around to you, you have committed $6 and there's about $66 in the pot and you have $46 behind. If you work on the premise that BTN is coming along for the ride then the proposition looks better.

Fair enough, not sure i'm quite at that level yet Sometimes I open more marginal holdings and end up losing a big pot and feel a bit silly because it would not happen if i'd just mucked it pre-flop. Other occasions, I do win and don't know if that was a mistake and the positive reinforcement compounds the error.

As an example from yesterday: i'm playing fast forward and get dealt K769ds on the BTN. MP opens for 3.5x and I 3bet. Is that 'bad' or fairly standard?

MP then puts in the 4bet to about ~30bb. I guess we have to take the flop?

At the lower limits you can 3b 15%+ IP and get away with it since 90% just play fit-and-fold poker, esp fast forward/Zoom players pool just press buttons.

I had a bit of a disastrous few days lately, sometimes it seems like a case of one step forward, two steps back.

Some of it may have come down to me opening my range up a bit and getting into trouble. A few general questions about some examples of hands:

                                                        - KQJ8 single suited: good for an open or is there too much of a gap?
                                                        - JT98/QJT9 single suited - rundown hands : if you're dealt these hands in SB/BB are you putting in a 3bet or always generally flatting? In position you generally 3bet?
                                                        - AT98ds from BB - 3b against CO/BTN open or flat?
                                                        - AT94ds + other random A suited hands from MP - Are these generally too weak to play?
                                                        - A458ds from UTG: This is an open, right? If 3bet, we call?
                                                        - AK74 from BB: Call BTN open or something which should be in our 3b range? Not specifically about those cards but DS where we can make good flushes with them.
                                                        - QQJTds - one of those hands which can look very nice. Something you 3b in position? Would you cold call a 4bet with it?

I know the above is rather vague and often a case of "it depends" but feels like I lost my way in the last few days + some run bad hasn't helped

"- JT98/QJT9 single suited - rundown hands : if you're dealt these hands in SB/BB are you putting in a 3bet or always generally flatting? In position you generally 3bet? "

Singel suited vs btn we just call, double suited we 3b.

                                                        "- AT98ds from BB - 3b against CO/BTN open or flat? "

Singel suited vs btn we just call, double suited we 3b.

"- AT94ds + other random A suited hands from MP - Are these generally too weak to play?"

                                                        I'd open it for sure.

"- A458ds from UTG: This is an open, right? If 3bet, we call? "

Yea double suited we open from UTG.

"- AK74 from BB: Call BTN open or something which should be in our 3b range? Not specifically about those cards but DS where we can make good flushes with them."

Double suited to ace and king we 3b.

"- QQJTds - one of those hands which can look very nice. Something you 3b in position? Would you cold call a 4bet with it?"

Yea, good enough to 3b for sure. Pretty hard to come up with a situation where we would be able to cold call a 4b, it has to be like UTG opens MP 3b and BTN 4bs, not a likely scenario.
Thanks for the reply, I might have another crack at it in the next day or so. Do you have any experience / thoughts about the Jnandez PLO charts if you've seen them?

KQJ8 single suited you reckon is good for an open from any position but at what point is there too much of a gap? KQJ7/KQJ6? I suppose generally we should be trying to avoid as much of a gap as possible and avoid more than 1 gap if possible.

QJT7ds from BB: Good enough for a 3bet against a CO open?

If you open AT94ds are you basically opening any double suited A hands eg A378ds and so on which don't really connect well?

J7 combo are probably the last combo i'll open,
Haven't seen any of Jnandez PLO courses etc beside his youtube videos.
A387ds is a fold so no i don't open any ds A hand but it's close to 70% of them i reccon.

Pretty sure you should be folding KQJ8 singe suited UTG. Only open if dbls.
I'd much rather open QJT8 single suited as I can actually also play 3 bet pot with it.

Vision folds it singel suited, but at these stakes it's fine.

Yea QJT8 is much better than KQJ8 obv...
