Still running pretty sick and awaiting on a $135 kickback so effective broll is nearing $1600...

Also found HU SNGs are a great format to study with, been sat at my desk for 2 hours with my books ploughing through my course and every 10 mins a HU match pops up, working a treat

KICKBACK! BOING!

Too many giraffes itt, you know what it looks like...

Profit: $1698.67
Games: 982
ROI%: 15.2% inc. rb/bonuses

Still sitting regs:fish about 2:1, think it has a few boni:

1. It keeps you thinking and your game evolving.
2. Mb makes regs think twice about sitting ALL the tables, also Ive felt an element of surprise advantage sitting 4+ tables simultaneously against a reg and can even pick up a few sit-out blinds
3. The honeybadge effect - Makes good regs think twice about sitting you.

Gonna carry on sitting in the same fashion but I may have to extend an olive branch at some point.

Is there more value in trying to profit from regs or teaming up to get seats first?

I don't play husngs but I imagine at the stakes you're playing the ability of the average reg is not that great / worthwhile to play them and figure out the best ways to exploit them / spot their mistakes or whatever. Basically your #1. Just get good enough at husngs that you consider everyone at the stakes you play a fish

Easy game, just be the best! Your right, stakes are still relatively low and should be tweaking my game and relishing the plentiful action.

When I find my comfort stake, a few equally skilled accomplices would be very valuable in picking up more free seats. 'Equally skilled' is important, can't believe how many good regs allow weaker regs to tag along in their team, they can't tell the difference between teammates and lunch.

Up to the $100 stakes but a few issues continue to bedevil me, the lack of action + tables. Some sites only allow 1 table which is consta-sat by a beast.

Will sit around for some action at these stakes but pretty sure I'm gonna have to either go balls-of-steel and take on the top regs or, probably more intelligently, I need to team up with a few reg-slayers to better harvest some free seats.

Still, pretty damn stoked that I'm still around 15%ROI and been playing mostly regs. Mb I'm just running hot but it sometimes really feels like placid or rigid regs are an easy variance-free ride compared to an aggro-donk.

Played live recently at Pokerstars room in London, bought in £70 for a mess around at $1/$2 while I was waiting for someone, could definitely get used to live, 2 hours went by in a snap.
Some pretty unforgivable play, everyone was limping monsters and calling 3B with garbage, still ended up losing £44 as I got dealt diddly and waiting for a beast was the only way to harpoon those whales. Gotta move to London.

From freerolls baby! I reckon my biggest improvements have been from:

1. Playing HU cash for years, makes you think a lot more about 3B/4B ranges and balancing bluffs which SNG players don't seem that comfortable with yet.

2. Training vids - WiltOnTilt, Tommy Angelo series really helped move my game up at HU cash.

3. Hero calling - Probably just makes me a station, but whenever I smell a rat I'll usually make the hero call, even if I think its 60/40 he has it, because you really get a good peek behind the curtain as to how people are playing/thinking. I think this curiosity has built in a lot of sick reads/plays into my game.

Bit of a swong over last 2 days so looks like I'm back at the $50 tables for now, barely any action at $100 tables but feeling pretty comfortable picking off the weak regs. Guess I cant expect to maintain double figure ROI playing mostly regs though.

I honestly find it so tragic how poker has headed towards hyper push-fold games. Just feels like sites want money faster and faster with no regard to the ill affects it will have on the games.
Not only is it reduced to the mentality of a pit game, but it projects a more drone image of the online poker pro.

Just seems fish get zero value for their fleeting bucks and poker pro is fast becoming a dull job, can definitely see myself moving live in the coming years.

Action is a bit slow, mb 5-6 games/hour with most being regs.

Still more profitable than hypers though with the added bonus that I don't want to, and shouldn't, kill myself.

Over 3 bags o' sand baby! Very happy and feeling comfortable with the company I've been keeping at the $100 tables

Took down a table hog today who was literally sat on ALL the tables, tried sitting 4 x $100 but only caught 3, must have a fekin script. Anyway binked all 3 which felt pretty good but still feel I'm losing value to weaker players who sit these now empty spots while I lock horns with tough players, DESPERATELY NEED TO FORM A REG-SLAYING GROUP.

Also need to work out if blocking my sharkscope graph would be +EV, I'm keeping it up as a reg deterrent but after Ive been at a site a while it might just be scaring away fish, any thoughts?

Cheers mate, ended up dumping another $300-$400 running poo at $100 tables. Got pretty mad and had an aggravated nights sleep, clear signs I'm taking the game too serious again which means its the perfect time to take 10 days off and study my ass off for the last of my last exams.

After last year I've learned poker just isn't worth it if you're stressing out every day, can build up on you and make you miserable.

Yeah bollox, I'm an addict! $1130 downswing pretty much all at $100, the luck has been unholy but also a lot of "what and how the f*** has he got that" moments which is way more unsettling than running bad.

Dumped half my bankroll in 80 games, Oooooh Jeeessshus! Fish action dead, buried, mummified, exumed and currently in a London museum which means I either need to get down on my knees and start pleasuring Satan by becoming a HU hyper reg or learn how to make shark-fin soup. Im choosing the latter but variance and delusion is a b1tch!

Still I think I have an edge vs regs as I'm never surprised by their holdings, rarely surprised by their plays, and seem to be choosing the correct ranges.

Oh well, time will tell. My goal is now improvement and volume vs regs while attempting to maintain a bankroll. Wish me luck!

ps Broke my bankroll rule and played $100 games down to $1800, whoopsi, was 4-tabling so happens

Dumped another 4 buyins to a fish-reg and currently floating around $1600, just running into houses every hand and I am partial to a call, still, only a 21bi downswing its not as bad as the graph looks, way worse to come im guessing :/

Sooooo glad I can just take days off, f*** ever playing full time again, personally I need the space to get my head together and remember its just a game.

Also realised how lazy I've been. Playing the top regs constantly and not even going through hands to get reads between matches. Its nice to let your ego run away with your results but if you're not doing your homework its an easy edge being wasted and will catch up with you.

Good News: HEM wasn't tracking properly, downswing was much less than I though and current stats stand at:

Bankroll: $2195.80
Games: 1200ish
ROI%: Unknown, but who cares!

Back to the $100 tables!

I'll share some hands/reads/thoughts from yesterday in a bit, no ones reading so can't see the harm
