got $210 dollars in my account gonna start at 5nl play a mixture of texas holdem and omaha and try grow a bankroll (: (rough breakdown 14buyins designated for texas and 28buyins for omaha play texas on friday saturday and sunday when fishies are hopefully more present and play omaha on monday tuesday wednesday thursday as i dont wanna battle regs at texas who are making there living playing in whatever poor country they live in, it doesnt sound fun.... literally feels like im prepping for war sometimes before i play a texas holdem sesh ha, whereas omahas just a more chilled affair and also even good highly skilled omaha players its hard for them to have much of an edge on you as long as your at least not really bad, whereas texas holdem i think skilled texas holdem players can develop very big edges on you if your a dog against them, basically id rather play fish at texas and have big edges than people with a clue and have a small edge there ocassionally a big edge on weak regs or be dog or it be a case where no ones really got an edge and were both wasting time exchanging chips back and forth to each other till one of us eventually works out a profitable counter strategy has an edge then they re adjust too and back to passing chips back and forth so only one who wins in that scenario is someone who tilts the least if both players are of equal skill level or whoever runs hotter gets luckier longterm ha).
Ive purchased a small stakes poker hud so i can track my progress for this challenge.
need to win $180 at texas holdem before moving up to 10nl and win $360 at pot limit omaha before moving up to 10nl there.
will update this thread ill try to at leat every week maybe every 2weeks havent decided.
But wish me luck
(oh background history ive been playing poker casually for a year now, this is my first proper attempt at growing a roll playing with bankroll management in place etc making a proper deposit that i dont plan on withdrawing from ever).

just quick rant while im getting aquainted with my hud and why the all in equity ev stat on hud is bull**** way of determining your luck, hand below, guy was a station literally doesnt fold much so way i played it i think was right against this particular opponent my raise turn was a for value i werent worried about a straight from this dude (would of been a funky one at that) or a set so i just wanted to juice the pot on the turn where i was confident i was ahead (really it was a flip on the flop that surprised me) so i check raise pot and basically that river im never checking and im already pot commited as such theres just so little behind that folding in my mind would always be a mistake when you got 1/3 of a pot bet left only river id of considered folding would be a flush one anyway point being on my hud this hand makes my all in equity drop way down (a stack) but realistically i got unlucky sucked out on when im already practically all in/commited turn invest large/majority of my stack (im not folding often basically when i do this).
yh thats all just quick rant about that stat (im genuinely just gonna turn it off that stat now and ignore it hide it on graph and results page, as think it can wrongly make you think your playing well or bad so im not gonna pay it any mind from now on, its not an accurate predictor of how good or bad your running lucky or unlucky its just telling you your equity at point of being all in which isnt the same thing) you can berate me and say overplaying top pair top kicker but really against this opponent type its not an overplay at all.
anyway have good sunday all.

kinda important update really
living up to my name of donkingfish tilted off 10 buyins! in texas holdem this session so as are my bankroll management rules ive lost $50 from my texas roll so i got go down to 2nl as i only have $20 of that roll left there grind it back up to $70 so win $50 then move back upto 10nl (gotta get undercontrol of my tilt in texas as honestly ill never be longterm winner in that game if i dont tilting in a no limit game is just recipe for disaster, dont know why but i tilt in texas far more easily than omaha and when i tilt in texas i go full ******, omaha actually i think ive never really tilted as such its lot easier for me to stick to my strategy in it than texas where few bad beats or suckouts or just breakeven stretches and the monotomy tips me over the edge lol).
on plus side it seems i have somewhat of an edge in omaha never really played it much (pot limit omaha, would play very occasionally in past just for fun mix it up but seeing that graph im thinking i must have somewhat of an edge in it least at these low stakes and thankfully fishies seem plentiful) its very easy to notice mistakes of opponents in omaha, plus theres so many more very loose fishies so that helps massively as can just play your ranges and hand strengths against them very profitably without getting exploited.
yh as for texas i got no excuses i ran bad at the start first few thousand hands despit what the graph looks like then tonight this evening i just played atrociously/tilted/steaming whatever you wanna call it and ego came into the mix too so yh pathetic so 2nl for texas holdem it is now GUTTTED! is the word but also not surprised cause of how poorly i played and tilted.
and yh still 5nl so far for potlimit omaha.
On a plus side ive apparently made $20 rakeback which is cool and much need after my pathetic performance.

(texas graph)

https://ibb.co/h7HFbx
(omaha graph)

https://ibb.co/cp1Qbx
(both graphs)

https://ibb.co/j6vq9H
(tournament graph, dont ask why i played just fancied a change of format was just a gamble)

so all in all ive payed 10hrs and made nothing if count tourny losses lol not good start

would quite like some advice do you think i should focus on pot limit omaha specifically for a bit learn that game more profociently and build up that roll a bit there win $360 there then come back to texas holdem focus on that and grind regrow that back up to 5nl by winning $50 then stay at 5nl for awhile focus on that win $180 there so its caught up with the omaha roll in terms of stake? or do you think i should just play omaha try get see how high up i can climb too then come back to texas at later date and do the 2nl texas grind?
opinions would be much appreciated as i want this challenge to be a success in both games but beginning to think my mental game issues in texas (tilt) are bit debilitating when they happen as only takes one session and ive undone any resemblence of winrate and tilted off any profits i made/edge i did have lol before the tilt lol.
also realising least in pot limit omaha i thought edges were small but really in the low stakes games where fish are plentiful edges seem to be actually bigger than you can acheive in texas (variance is greater but pontential edges can be greater i believe least in the low stakes games) but also maybe im just a texas fish though seems that way at moment lol
