Used to play 50nl hu on ftp back before black friday happened. Recently deposited on Merge and started out grinding 25nl and 50nl hu to try to make some extra cash again (broke college student !). I'm pretty awful right now with my play but hopefully this thread will motivate me to post hands and to improve my game over time. 50nl - 200 nl by summer!

1st week or so back in the game graph, obviously running quite well.

Had note that saw him play over pair super passively as well, so I feel that shoving the river is gonna make him fold all 10x -K's and he seemed to be pretty nitty so i dont think he will call any weak ax. Idk hand kept running back into my mind thinking i should have shut it down but I feel that a huge % of the time im gonna get folds - top of range hands etc.

Well its been a while since I posted, but things have not been going well, I am still crushing the 25nl tables, but my game seems to be drastically different when im playing 50nl. I have for surde been running good at 25 nl no doubt about it but when im playing 50 my play just looks like im scared money or something is different. Had some friends sweat me and help me a bit but bleh i need a serious overhaul of game...

Well after degening off some bj to feel better after yesterdays meg tilt session I was rewarded with a little run good today on the tables, moved down to 25nl to be careful and avoid more tilt.

I havent sat 100 since a week ago or so. But I'm just getting destroyed every time I sit 50nl. Obviously ihave some pretty big leaks if im getting crushed so bad by fish.

stay at 25 until you are at least 50BI's for 50nl. You are playing differently at 50nl because you can feel your risk of ruin looming over you.

Feel like i have my mental aspect of back under better control as of right now, obvious I could blow up again or something. But for now things are going well and even though had - 8 bi day 2 days ago I just need to realize it happens and review my play and and find spots where i can make more money and spew less.

Just keep getting better and money is a great motivator...play a lot, and let the wins build slowly...they will

Send me hands sometime, just PM and not for review, I just like to read them as much as I can...

This villain had been 3 betting like 35% ish and limping random hands on button and just seemed overall pretty fishy. But quite aggro and loved to overbet jam in spots where my range seems to be weak, not sure if he was doing this bc he can hand read or if he just had hands everyttime he overbet shoved. I'm curious as to what people would put this guy on shoving over bet shoving river with?
Also didnt 3 bet pre bc he was folding to 90% 3 bets and was just barreling the **** out of single raised pot with w/e rando hand he had so felt it was best to just flat and let him value town himself.

Looks like you checked him in to the Valuetown Hotel and paid for the top floor -EV Suite.

It's really hard to read a hand when you check call, check call, check call...especially without Villain's numbers...

I would guess pocket 5's or AK.

I agree with the PF part, and what about raising the flop here? How much folding were they doing when they lead and you re-raised, if ever? You have middle set, not too vulnerable, but calling both the flop and turn let them make this monster move on the river and put you in a tough spot...did raising come into your crosscheck in your mind, and if no, why not?

This was only like 60 hands into playing him but he had not floated or called any of my previous C/r although believe I only c/r the flop twice or so against him. Raising turn did come into mind, but really all I was thinking about was previous hands where I c/c twice and he bombed the river both times but I just didnt have a read on what type of hands he's doing it with. I feel c/r the flop just wasnt going to get the most value from this villain is why i skipped it, but turn I feel there is a petty legit case to c/r it and bomb river but was just unsure how he would play against the turn raise and frankly I'm not acared of any river with middlle set and wanted to give him the chase to bluff off anything he had, and I felt any strong ax he was probably going to bomb river based on what i had seen.
