Hello everyone, my name is Ruslan, I’m 27 and I love poker. I was born and live in Russia in a small Siberian town. I play nl 16 for pokerstars in 12ev bb / 100 for 150k hands, I'm getting ready to storm nl25. I'm playing shitty straightforward poker that I want to get rid of. My red line is in the toilet. I am very surprised where I got such a winrate of 16 with such a red line. They forgive me a lot in the game, people manage to play even worse. I want to find cool fun guys who are crazy about poker with this blog.

I had the problem of focusing on short-term results, very much mental energy is spent on checking balance, tilt emotions and so on. I decided to devote 15 hours of psychology this month. I read the book of Jared Tendler Mind Games 2 for 5 hours, +3 hours of reading and work on myself was gone. I decided to act with simple logic to motivate myself and understand why I need it. Made small sketches. Read the guys. Am I a nerd?
I need to understand the nature of variance.
Why do I need it?
Understanding the nature of variance will eliminate the focus on short-term results. Also, non-leveling of the dispersion factor will lead to a calmer state and an adequate objective perception of reality about your technical skill. It will be easier for me to work on the game when I experience negative turns of dispersion and my game at these moments will be much better. You can achieve such high results in this matter that my game of upstream and downstream will be exactly the same. A deeper understanding of the variance will lead to the release of additional mental resources, which will not go away like before, like how much money I have on my balance sheet and I need to get some rest, finish the month in plus, when the nut comes in, I play badly, and will diverge on making better decisions during the session. I will get a psychological edge over my opponents if I work through this aspect. Thus, not leveling the variance factor will turn poker into chess.
*What will my edge look like?
My Edge will look like I will produce more quality thought processes during the game, as with a deeper understanding of the variance, emotions will not be able to block my mind, as I will be competent in this matter. Forhaley in his blog said that if you are angry about the distribution time, then you are incompetent in this spot and this spot needs to be worked out.
How do I get a deeper understanding of the nature of dispersion?
1. Read articles that are freely available and work through them.
2.play and deal with the variance calculator
3. Press the button to open the balance once a week
Dispersion is an indicator of deviation from the result expected in the long run.

Very good results! Why don't you move up? Do you cashout a lot?

Thanks. I have a conservative bankroll management, 80 buy-ins per limit. I try to cultivate a more professional approach from the bottom. And I don’t really want to rock the variance above the limit, since my winrate there will be clearly lower and poker is my only source of income. I bring about 300-400 dollars on average per month. This is enough for me, in the provincial cities of Russia life is not very expensive. There is such a Russian folk wisdom - go quietly, you will continue. I try to be guided by it.
