Streaming going to be delayed until Sept i guess

Ignition account got locked, think just from moving around too much past 2 months. Already sent in my ID ect, don't want to stream the screen name sites, i asked ignition if there's any connection between ignition/bovada accounts, if they are completely unrelated ill just play on bovada but i didnt want to risk depositing if it's just gonna get locked or w/e.

Some hands from earlier in the weekend

Not sure about river sizing. I think jam or block make sense, i went with this inbetween sizing bc i didn't like my blockers and was just trying to figure out the smallest sizing i think i get enough folds from overpairs + i went too small ott and had a weird spr.

Maybe this belongs in the block or give up line bc IP most likely to fold TT/JJ first of their overpairs tho.

Think you gotta let these go, not sure if ppl find the pair bluffs but if i think that then i should just fold the turn so i just kinda ended up leveling myself into a call.

I don't really know much about river call efficacy, but since i think the general consensus is that low/midstakes underbluff (in general) so if im making good/hero folds my river efficacy will be pretty high without giving up too much nonsd. Going to start looking into all my river calling spots with close-ish hands once i understand it a bit more.

One issue is you are also facing that freeroll even in much much bigger pots

I would have thought JTs does not barrel much there ott, but haven't looked at it myself. I might think it's a good bxb hand and simple xf vs bet.

Funny hands! Gl sir.

JT is slightly out of line but i don't hate it. I would play that spot differently now regardless.

Ima start the thread up again.

Things were going pretty well after a post vegas break, im dabbling in the streaming streets - will probably try to do some late night streams if im only playing bovada, don't want to strim some of the other sites.

I got ****ed by FTX pretty bad last week, so i have a some newfound motivation to win it back. Don't mind a few years of crypto winter, need to accumulate again, and before i get lectured i've been self custody with over 80% of my coins until about a year ago, yes we all knew some things were dodgy but i put the chance of a complete overnight meltdown pretty low and felt that i'd probably survive one year on a CEX. Live, learn, buy ETH and store it under my mattress.

Volume for the past year has been dogshit overall, but i'm pretty happy with what i've been doing lately. Spent too much time studying HU past few months but im kinda at the point where im hitting diminishing returns if i don't move up stakes faster. My biggest hurdle has just been re-establishing a solid mental game and consistency, not a crusher by any means but i need additional money and good habits more than technical skill at this point.

Gonna set volume goals each month moving forward, something that i can be happy with myself for re: of outcome.

Since we're halfway through the month this will be a nice little tester and ill make it easy on myself. Just 17k hands before end of the month, adding zone when the pool is good and will have a new daytime hour site soon so shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Don't know what i think about his call, seems not great, i guess it could be easy to overdo it IP if you just rip every single spade and 5x/6x stuff but i shouldnt have much from UTG so not sure if i think it's an overbluffed spot. Having a feeling he just thought blocking KT meant smt.

Thought my car was lost/stolen for like 3 days but turns out it was towed monday and wasn't reported for 2 days to the police, past two weeks have not been kind to us.

@brokenstars He had 77

Yeah i guess at some point you just have to sit and force yourself to play. i've at least got myself playing most days even if short sessions. I forgot about the holidays this week but i'll probably still make volume.

Pokerwise past like 1.5 weeks just breakeven, then lost a few buyins last few sessions. Happy with how im playing tho, checking hole cards helps when you're running meh just to confirm you're not going crazy ect..

Theme of latest HH post is betsizing i guess

River is a bit strange, we have a few straights/boats that want to jam, then we also river some Ax that's worth a bet when he's mostly pairs Kx and lower. Think the 150 overbet is a bit big for Ax, but obv underselling the 45/boats- so it's kind an inbetween sizing which normally isn't a great, but since we're bluffing on an anonymous site, i think we just figure out if it's a +ev bet or not.

It felt kinda bad using this sizing bc i felt like i wouldnt get credit for an Ace , so then giving him pretty good odds on calling vs trips+ which is a very narrow range. I ended up using it bc i thought it would be harder to figure out what to defend vs this than Jam.

Try exploitative sizings here too, jamming straights/bluffs to max cooler a set/2p and get more folds out of 1p hands. But when i have 2p here i think i just want to try to make sure his overpairs/Jx call more frequently and probably just never bluff, and since he minraised i don't think i'll ever get punished for using this size bc he can't know if im splitting and 98o just kinda scary.

This was the 2nd or 3rd snap bet out of him in a spot that I think most ppl think a little bit about, which made me think he was likely over cbetting and we would want to start playing some hands as jam>call. Could be convinced that we should mostly call, jamming only really accomplishes picking up a bit of extra dead from AK that might be overcbetting, and folding out the other AJs, and i think i think AK just burns its own ev by betting into a strong range too often, not sure we should actually try to do anything about it, can just let him blast some ev to us.

I don't think it's a punt or anything tho.

You might be right xeno, i was thinking if i bet this sizing he still needs to fold like 40%ish percent, and it just felt close if i'd get that if we assume he calls good pairs. It was just some quick math tho, would need to try to map out a few possible ranges for him otr and figure out if that's the case or not. Considering a lot of ppl don't xb fd ever the diamond draws may be what pushes it towards profitable tho, good point.

I was born in the united states, but most of my family is in germany. I'm fine thanks, doing much better mentally these days, was in a weird headspace past 12 months. Think i've found a good routine, don't take any adhd meds anymore, just low dose tch/cbd gummies throughout the day, has been a big improvement. If you spend a lot of time in your own head it can be very stressful when your mind is too erratic, just dampens your ability to do your best and can also cause you to overreact to stuff and it can spiral.

Gonna try to play 35k hands this month on bovada and then whatever action i can get on my other sites, december always a great month and it's very cozy to stay inside and grind during winter months. Will post a graph at some point early jan for nov-dec since i set a volume goal for these months, not super interested in sharing results but i know ppl like to see graphs.

Have some thoughts but interested to hear inputs. I expect a lot of xr otf, also think donking turn makes sense when so much of my range is Ahi ott, so there was just a lot going on i couldn't really process in real time.

Could do some work on 4bp sizings to understand it better but as long as im not making large mistakes i just have other stuff higher in priority atm.

Yeah i took a look at it, 1/3 is probably better.

Did some thinking and i decided ill prob move to a regulated state after next wsop, will still ofc play a ton of ignition during peak hours/ect.. but I really just dont like anonymous poker as a main grinding site.

App action has been kinda dead recently, think it's a good club but don't really want to get sucked into the app games much further so probably not gonna join any others. Hopefully it's just because of the holidays, think some of the action moved to plo as well.

I thought the guy was way over cbetting the turn for the small size, and if he had enough Ax that we might wanna just attack/pile vs that range ott/otr with our 8x.

If he's getting to the river with too much Ax, i think we can play faceup even tho normally our hand is more of a x/c down mb raise river strength level hand than a piling level hand, but since his turn bet/call range is too many Ax vs 8x due to preflop iso+wide turn b33 and his Ax is only going to call/fold, there's an edge to gain with what he's doing with those extra Ax.

Betting this big with 98 felt kinda bad but if we start to think he's overfolding to the point we're value cutting ourselves, it's not hard too hard to find bluffs. Obv right when you see the jam you wish you'd just kinda played it normal

Ah ****, here we go again Quote
