I started the year with $0 after busting a 2k roll for the umpteenth time since i started playing the game 2 years ago. However on Jan 2nd i luckboxed 60th place in Sunday Million for $3k and moved my roll to ipoker. I've had a decent bit of success since moving there but the last month has been sketchy and being unmotivated to play has led me into a 3.5k downswing. With rakeback due in a couple of days i'm starting April with 9.4k and believe i can achieve 90k by the end of the year with alot of hard work and dedication. Hopefully this thread will keep me focused on my goal....

My screenname on ipoker is poundpincher. Here is my graph:

Also the plan is to get to $15k and withdraw 5 to move to pokerstars for heads up as ipoker is full of bumhunters at small stakes HU where i would want to gain my experience. I've been jumping around stakes from .25/.50 - 2/4 at 6max (even 3/6-5/10 when feeling stupid, tired, drunk or tilty) which is why my graph has such large peaks and trofts! Looking to grind levels now and only playing higher when there is very juicy games. $.25/.50 until i'm back to 10k. Then .50/1 till i feel comfortable playing 1/2 again.

Hand 1 is pure spew, just fold pre. And raise/calling TPTK in a 4 way pot? You are never going to get it in good there.

Good luck with your challenge, you've set a pretty ambitious goal, but thats the whole point right!

Your right there. Villian loves to donk though (25% over 2.5k hands) and i had a crazy image at the table. Tbh i was just looking for any excuse to get a hand all in at that point as i was still in tilted mode. Booked a nice +$100 short session this afternoon and feel ready to take on a new month! The goal is very ambitious but it was always my goal to hit $10k and, after doing earlier this month, i believe if i put my mind to it, i can do it.

You ever play live at the Crown buddy?Spent a fair bit of time there when i stopped in Melbourne for a few months a couple of years back.

Yeah I play at Crown sometimes. Not so much the cash games but I've played at most the regular tournaments there (Vic champs, Melb champs, Joe Hachem Deep Stack, Aussie Millions etc.)

        Hey monkiii!

Games at ipoker are still soft in comparison to FT and Stars. Couple of players gave me problems at 2/4 but overall it seems very beatable. If you table select well there's a lot of $$ to be made and there are (relatively) more whales to be found vs american sites too. Especially at weekends Going to try to build my roll a little higher before i sit regularly at 400NL.What site are you playing at just now?

I'm from a town called Falkirk in Scotland.

What a brutal start to the month! Played for around 12hours yesterday/last night and ended up down 1.7k. Actually went up $400 straight away winning a couple of flips at £.50/1, then found a semi-reg that i've played HU at 200NL before and feel i have an edge on. He was sitting at .50/1 which made me feel pretty comfartable playing. We played about 500 hands and he ended up winning $350 due mainly to a couple of coolers (1. He flopped top two, i flopped top and bottom for 166bb, 2. He called my 5B shove pf with A8o when i had JJ and hit his ace). Once he left i tried to 6 table 100NL 6max when i'm only used to 4 tabling and instead of playing tighter i played much looser and aggressive. Lost couple hundred more there. Moved up to £2/£4 as there was a aggro fish there but everytime i got involved with him he coolered me (my OP vs his flopped set etc). Then, prob not my brightest idea, played solid winning reg HU at euro 200NL. Must have played 1500 hands vs him and really held my own going ahead 500-600 a couple of times before he dragged me back. He killed in the last half an hour though and ended up beating me out of around $800. Was pretty po'd with myself so withdrew $200 which i think i'm going to do every week from now on while hopefully it does not affect affect my roll too much. Really need to get 3-4 winning sessions under my belt. 1 would be nice for now though! Hands from yesterday to follow...

+$420 tonight though from solely heads up sitting at 100/200NL tables. Hopefully i can build on this and leave this downswing behind!
