As far as earnings go, @100NL, the 1.6bb winner would bring in $2,400 + approx the same in RB (at least in 2015) for a total of ~$4,800. The 5bb guy would earn $2,500 + approx $800 for a total of $3,300. Assuming they play, say, 24 tables v 8 tables, then the former has nearly a 50% higher hourly ($40 v $27.50, assuming 1,250 hands/hour when 24 tabling.) However, in reality there are other factors to consider of course. All else being equal, the 5bb 8-tabler may have a better chance of tweeking/improving his game and moving up in stakes. As far as who would make the better coach, again, there are too many important factors other than purely their current hourly rate. For example, the 1.6bb/100 winner may be extremely difficult to listen to, really poor at getting his point across, and frequently stutter and stumble over sentences with too many long pauses.

Your correction is fair but, in my opinion, Spin's appreciation of your skills isn't. I was just trying to put across how hard it is to have any sort of win rate when you mass table and how easy it is to underestimate mass multi tablers because they rarely have the higher win rate of the low multi tablers. And I say that as someone who has almost never mass table.

SpinMeRightRound you're coming across as a bit of a troll tbh. I sometimes quite like trolls, but not your type of troll. All you're doing is insulting one of the most experienced midstakes players in the game based on a ridiculously shallow understanding of how online poker works.

Sure, you're right that MeleaB could have reduced his volume by playing significantly less tables and have a winrate much higher than what was shown, but he would have made less profit. To be able to still beat the rake and make a profit pre-rb at 100nl+ in today's tougher poker climate putting in the sheer amount of volume he played requires a tremendous amount of skill and is something very few can achieve.

Also, lol at the stutter thing. The occasional stutter doesn't hinder his ability to get points across and communicate well and I'm sure he'll tell you the bulk of his students have been very happy with his coaching style.

yeah 6 max...there are 2 players with very similar SN to your 2+2 handle that play hence why i ask. Once seem like a reg.

I see, yeah scaling up against rec players makes a big difference. Timing in zoom is a leak i feel. Its very easy to make snap decisions especially with nutted hands.

Hey Trusty! Nice to see you've stumbled into my thread Yea I have been working hard, today I'm absolutely exhausted cos I played over 10k hands of zoom to try and complete the 10 steps challenge. The reward I got was only 250 coins ($2.50) which was much lower than the average prize for goldstar (EV of $28).

Still i'm up $165 for today at the tables, plus rb. I'm surprised I even came out of it alive tbh!

Yea I might shoot for supernova this year, but could be a bit of a stretch for a part-timer like me. Yea that's the good thing about these promos, cos if you keep doing them across the year (and then into the next year), then your luck is gonna even out eventually. Chances are if you keep at it, one of these days you'll bink something! I won $300 from the free TCOOP ticket they were giving away last month.
