Since legalized legislation of online poker wasn't added to payroll extension bill my wife and I decided that I should relocate to Canada to play.

I'll be relocating April 1st (just gave notice to my employer, good job making a decent living)

Quick Bio: 34, married w/ 2 dogs and a cat.

Pre-BF:

Small winner up to 50NL (6max & FR)
17% ROI SNG over 4K games
51% ROI 180s ($2) 850 games
110% ROI MTTs (micro ABI $7) 1.2K games

1. Goal is to play 500K hands a month starting with a $3,000 BR @ $25NL and move up when I reach 100BI for each level and move down when @ 100 BI for that level.

2. Goal is to make $4k-$6k a month profit (thus the 500K hands a month)

Question/advice: cash games harder than pre-BF?

Researching PTR, no one plays any where close to this volume which has me concerned. Is 500K hands a month impossible? For me, I will be living in Canada grinding 13 hrs a day, 2 hours of study, 1 hour to work-out and 1 hour to eat & shower.

Am I being over ambitious? (During my days at Stars, I'd grind 6-7 hours daily after work with no problem)

Honestly 500k hands is a little steep, 200k is definitely doable though gl.

I think 350K may br doable, but 500K is a really sick grind man. Will be following for sure

How many hands were you able to get in pre BF? I would never say anything is impossible but 500k a month.

Not sure but wouldnt 500k hands a month put you at SNE pretty quickly, even at those limits? Assuming you can move up pretty quickly (if you are good enough it should happen quickly considering the volume) I would think SNE would be a piece of cake.

Is SNE on your radar at all?

16K+ hands/day with no day off. I multitable some (16 to 24) and its sick for your head after 3-4 hours. You average around 1500 hands/hour with 24 9 max tables. That means that you gotta be damn stubburn to keep this up for a week.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. As for the questions of hands, SNE, etc:

Before BF I was putting in 5-10K hands a day while working a full-time job when I was grinding cash.

My plan which might be a fail was/is to grind 14 hrs a day (6max - 16 tables or FR 24 tables) with 3 hour sessions with 1/2 break. I will be in Canada (Montreal), flying in, shipping my gear in May. Already paid my lease for 6 months.

As for SNE, doubt I'd make it in 7 months but planning for 2013 if the world doesn't end first.

The hand count was based on 14 hrs a day, 7 days a week. I am there to grind, not site see, party, etc since I am happily married.

I don't want this thread to start as a can or can't, we/I will see in due time. Just hoping for feed back good or bad of the journey I will be partaking in soon. Prime-Time now is 8am-6pm est on Stars? Any other eurosites I should keep in mind?

500k hands seems close to impossible. Saying that you could reach your goal of 5k as a small winner at NL50 after rakeback with 200-250k hands a month(which is still a serious GRIND). Sounds strange but I found it even harder to put volume in if all you do is play poker. Find yourself something else to do(some hobby away from computer) or you will burn out.

why risk burning out? why not make it 300k hands/month? which is stil a lot..

As for the hand debate, I used an arbitrary number based on 14-15 hours a day playing 6-max. My theory was/is while I am in Canada, I will have nothing really to do except play poker, study and workout.
