Well I took $1,000 to over $5,000 in about 50 days. I then got drunk 2 nights ago, had a few bad beats, got pissed off, and thought playing $1,000 HU sit-n-gos vs. HU pros was a good idea. So yeah...basically went busto and blew most of my stack in one night.

Annnyyyywwwaayyyys, back to square 1. Starting with 500 bucks and going to run it to 100k and buy something sweet haha.

Primarily did Rush for the last challenge but may mix it up a bit this time.

Oh yeah...and no drinking while playing!

Anywho, grinded some 25 NL Rush and placed 6th in a donkament for 680 bucks.

You blew $5k in one night drunk. It's going to take you a pretty long ass time to grind back to $5k again. If you continue to drink, the work and bankroll management you put into this grind could be for nothing. Don't drink and play poker. Why do I have to be saying this?

Crazy, crazy session.

So I decided to jump up to 50 NL and within a matter of about 2500 hands I had 3 seperate occasions where my top set was busted on the river. The first time my set of 8s were beat by rivered quad 4s, the second time my set of 10s were beat by a rivered set of jacks, and the third time my set of 3s were beat by a rivered set of queens. Oh well...I guess that's variance, right?

Obviously I was all-in all 3 occasions so that really hurt my BB/100.

Oh well, I am still up on the session.

An absolutely wicked crazy day in terms of variability. I had probably the craziest 3 hands I've ever had in a row where I lost to another big stack for about 250 BBs and then immediately won it all back plus some over the next 2 hands. This will explain the giant dip followed by the shot back up on the graph.

Overall, I played pretty awful and ran pretty bad in general which definitely didn't help. Hopefully my luck will turn around tomorrow.

Played for about 90 minutes earlier. Nothing too crazy...most of my sets actually held so that is always nice. Just stuck to 25 NL Rush because I was doing other things and didn't feel like paying a lot of attention to it.

Current BR: $1,666.03

Oh, and on a side note, I have a 333% ROI in 6 days of playing. Would someone like to stake me? haha

I plan on moving up and taking shots at higher levels when I have the br to manage it. I would like to have at least 40 buy-ins at a given stake in rush due to the crazy variance.

How many hands do you average an hour at Rush? I imagine that with your style of play rakeback could be a significant contributor to your br.

Depending on how quickly I am playing, I will do anywhere from 1200 to 1500 hands per hour when I 4-table rush. And yes, you are correct - I will usually make 1000 to 1400 dollars a month off of rake alone. That's the great thing about rush: you can be a break-even player and still make some decent money off of rake alone.
