Seems too much.. lost 4x AA pf vs lower pair, lost 5 sets in a row to overset, AQs on AQXsXs to KK, 300bb pot with 33 set vs tptk that goes to runner runner str8, KK < AK, KK < QQ..

I had this problem in the past, regarding the bad run. You need to focus more on the game, you will run good too, you will have set over set, flush over flush etc.

What is most important in my opinion is to try to looose minimum in downs and win maximum in ups. If on the NL10 your downs loose > ups win definetly you make some mistakes...

I am aware of reciprocity in poker. But also aware of the standard deviation of 100bb/100h. Just crying posts here from time to time by me. You are right about loose less and win more = winning in poker. GL! (also I know I do a lot of mistakes, just trying to do the smallest amount of mistakes as possible)

Another month, another disaster.
I went back to PS, so I can have HH. Played 8 days. Volume is the only aspect of poker that I am at least average. All other aspects are the F mark.

Redline freefalling again. Seems my "progress" is pure illusion. The more time I put into study, the more I suck.

Graphs since significant strategy change.

Don´t be too much worried about your redline. The sample size is small and looking at your bell curve you are clearly running very bad when it comes to card distribution. Your redline is also a function of how good your card distribtion is.

Over larger sample your redline should defo not be worse than -10BB/100, but even then you can crush these stakes by value betting correctly and overfolding vs aggresion since ppl underbluff immensely (which will make your redline naturally worse).

In June Bluffthespot will launch there BTS lab and MMASherdog (HS crusher) will play stakes from 5NL until 50NL and show how to play these stakes. It costs 15USD/month. If you have this money I would reccomend it. They have also a monthly webinar in which you can ask questions. Pretty sure it would help you a lot.

Hope you can catch some heat in June. GL!

Vs fish.. not sure about sizings, and line. I hoped to get called by any AcX here. Did not assume he may have all AcXc here.. probably flop just 1/3 psb and turn check?

Definitely fine to go 1/3 on the flop even vs fish, since you block Kx. A smaller bet even gets more calls out of TT/JJ/9x no club. 44/55/66/77/88 with a club etc.. And you have no problem getting money in even if you 1/3 the flop.

As played you should bet smaller OTT. betting 36 leaves ~50 behind and the pot would be ~120 OTR. You want this drooler to continue calling some silly hands he has.

Why would you bet flop and check turn? Don't get too results oriented.

I was thinking that he may have a lot of AcX that he may jam ott himself, as same as some bluffs as I think fish would think that we do not beat Ax here after check and we would bet our flush so he has a lot of fold equity.

One thing which you need to improve vrbik is what with your chosen bet size the SPR on future streets will be. You are clearly not thinking in game about this since I saw it in many HHs.

As ship already pointed out your turn bet size is too big. You want to give villain a hard time where he has to think what to do with certain hands which a marginal. Your bet size on the turn is very easy to play against it and you will isolate yourself mostly just vs the nutted part of villains range.

Take your time in game and think about bet sizes, SPR, eff. stack sizes, etc.

2020 Summary
Don't read this if you expect the road to success manual

Poker
2020 was the worst year of poker for me as it was the first year of poker that I did not move up. I spent all the year at NL10. (Now I am back at PS)

On the bright side..
To join the powerpoker community was the best decision I could do in 2020. I completely rebuild my useless plain stupid strategy, got out of the 60BI valley of despair, and getting to shot NL16 soon with 50BI roll for it. The positive thing is that I learned a lesson: playing without proper study is just wasting time for me nowadays. Really looking forward to next year as poker is still the number one hobby for me. I hope I found a way how to improve from day to day and hope for NL25 shot in 2021.

Not going to post the graph as I want to preserve my mental health

RL Stuff
One of the best years ever IRL. I love my family life and time with my wife and our baby that grows so fast! I finished writing the dissertation thesis, still can't believe that I did it. I wrote 4 conference articles, one impact paper, chapter in the book. Hopefully, I will become the supervisor of my first Ph.D. student next semester. So it was definitely the best year in my academic career at university.

The business year was also great. We established the new scientific paper with my friend and increased traffic on our citebay.com project 10x. We decided to focus on our paper, citebay.com and academic careers instead of webpages and other bullshit.

It was also the best year regards to income, getting some research extra money, some BTC wins and some small other investments.

GL to all in 2021!

2020 summary addendum
Graph for december..

I improved my red line to almost breakeven in last 50k hands while almost keeping the blue line (I had -11bb/100 hand red line before joining power poker). The gamechenger was get rid of "they bet otr = no bluffs" mantra that was maybe right in 2010 but def not in 2020. Also started to thin value bet and in general bluff slightly more rivers. I am aware that 50k hands sample size is irrelevant but feeling like playing much better than before. Also I plugged huge mental leak that was being results oriented.. Interview with Martin Kabrhel I heard was the gamechanger for me )
