How did you find Bali from a distraction point of view? Was it good for you or do you think it would have been better to stay in the zone at home?

Yesterday I was noticed that I was promoted to bitB Main stable. When Sam said it to me I wasn't sure if it was real or I just got sunstroke from hanging on a beach whole morning.

Spoiler:
[ ] sunstroke

3.5 years ago I was working at my dads car workshop for 200 euros per month, gave up my poker dream and was hustling a bit on a side only so I could get smashed on weekends. I was aware this was unsustainable but it's pretty hard to get out of that cycle when all of your friends are doing the same. Today I know too many people in 26-36 years range who still live with their parents, beg them for some pocket change here and there just to get out and buy 0.4 grams of bad albanian weed. Or take a swing at 10 pairs sportsbetting parlay in hope of getting that lifechanging 500 euros. Surely some of luckier just do it for couple of years and grow up / finish college/get a nice job/ make something out of themselves, but I'd say 30-40% don't. And I don't blame them per se, surely they can not make some major impact on big poverty and corrupted authorities and 200e avg salary when we discount Belgrade. But man, you can not fvcking give up. One simply just can not accept that. Ever. You gotta take em swings. You gotta fail. You gotta get up and fail again. And when you start loving that neverending battle that's when the life actually starts.

I always hated being mediocre and I don't believe in doing things halfway. Either I do it 110% or I don't do them at all. But the problem when you're adolescent is that you usually just don't want to do anything, you just do what everybody else does and everybody in Serbia loves getting wasted anyway. I was always making enough money to survive / fullfill basic needs / be kind of independent. Surely, slinging on the streets and everything that comes with that isn't a thing anybody should be proud of, but many of people I knew just weren't trying to do anything and I was trying to do something in habitat I was in. So as much as I'm not proud about many things I did, I'm very fvcking proud for never giving up and never accepting that being <average is okay (don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad thing if you are average, but not trying to progress is outright pusseeey behavior imo )

3.5 years ago I've joined one domestic stable and much love for brothers that took a kid that was on the edge of being completly lost (which they were aware of!) and made him turn in the right direction. 3.5 years I was spazzy semirec playing 2.50 180s for 3 hours per day, going to festivals and using alcohol and drugs pretty much every week, and they changed most of it (Ok I played some part in that one). Sure it turned out to be good+EV for all people involved but it was an big gamble too, so big thanks <3

3.5 months ago when I applied for bitB I’ve decided to make that last swing at my highschool poker dream. I was making relatively variance free good type of money by myself anyway but I saw this situation as a win win spot for me - with nothing to lose. And oh boy I’ve already gained plenty. Allegedly nobody moved in tiers faster than me and since I got that shot (obviously I believe I've deserved it with my hard work but there is plenty room for improvement in every area) my expectations are really big. And I'm not expecting much from them, I'm expecting it from myself. And I'm still fvcking hungry, don't think I was ever hungrier about anything in my life.

After risking 3-5 years in prison x times per day for some absurdly low amounts of money I don’t find running sims, discussing hands, working on strategies and basically playing an game for a living tough. Surely I am not satisfied about many things in my game and my mindset (and hopefully never will be) but I just don’t think poker is hard for reasons I’ve mentioned. I can’t really express how grateful I am for playing this game.

3.5 years ago I was lost and now I'm on Bali, doing runs on the beach in the morning, eating super good food, trying to hook up w random indonesian women and playing an game for living (and fvcking loving it). But the battle have just started my friends !

I'd say it's pretty fvcking good here I was working my ass off from September and really needed this vacation, and was like whatever happens with my work habbits for the month it's all good, but simply when I don't work for 2-3 hours per day at least I just can't enjoy those days very much. Funny thing is that I just couldn't stay away from playing so I play my sessions (mostly Sunday) on my laptop and some lousy chair and it's all good. I've in all honesty thought that I'm gonna get much more OOL here but I just don't enjoy getting wasted much (did it maybe 2-3 times for 20 days here) and I enjoy everything poker related. Think if I didn't brought my laptop I'd go mad here 100% / bought another. Staying in my zone at home is cool, I've made some changes to my place and I want to make a good base since I overall like where I live, but doing some trip every 2-3 months is very fullfilling and recharging for me and I plan on keep doing so. I probably won't move a lot until summer though after I come back to Serbia.

How much $$$ do you need a moth on Bali(including rent)?

You shouldnt pay monthly place for more than 300-400$ (you can find even cheaper, but you should really dig in hard). If there is more of us, you can find a 3 bedroom villa for around 2k$, if you need some groups for estate search, just bump me privately. Usually you have a maid in all variants, internet is usually better in those single apartments (because they target nomads, not tourist people), so altough it sounds funny, yeah, your internet will probable be worse in a villa

Food depends, one thing is certain, there is no way you can make it cheaper by yourself, even from personal experience (and speaking with a lot of people who are there for years), everyone here eat outside. You can eat for 1-2$ per meal in local warungs (piece of their meat is around 0.8$ and vegetable/noodles stuff are around 0.3$) or you can eat in whatever restaurant between 5$ and 10$ per meal (Bali is really a gastronomic paradise) and you can choose whole variety of concepts, but they are pretty much oriented to "HEALTHY FOOD"

You can buy sim card with 15gb of internet for 5$, electricity is usually around 50$ per month (one of the stuff usually isnt included, but maids are because they are cheap labor) and scooter rent depends from bike to bike. Vario (their most common version you can find for 50$ per month, nmax/pcx which are more stable on the road are 100$ per month but pretty much you can do everything with vario (still i love nmax like a boss), if you want to go around the island Nmax is definitely more useful.

If you drink anything alcoholic other than beer, it is quite expensive (for my Balkan standard ). While beer is everywhere from 1.5 to 2$ (in clubs and market, it is the same), hard spirits are from 3 to 5-6$. And yeah, beer is ****ty and dont expect craft scene there, they are Muslim country, dont forget that, altough Bali is 90% hindu

You can find drugs, but quality is highly doubtable, so just dont do it.

About gyms/yoga stuff, depends from the place pretty much but lets say that if you buy bulk of 10 pack it will be between 70ish up untill 100$.

So yeah, pretty much i think i covered all, so just calculate your needs and lifestyle.

it depends of what you want, but yeah I had to move to tourist area which I didn't prefer but it's the only area with super stable internet.

Nets fvcked the process last night and fvcked it good but I finished first bigger series in the green and decided it's time to put an short update here too.

since last update lot of things happened, one being that in last 40 days I was on 3 different continents which feels pretty unreal. went to rio with bitb, met most of the guys and it helped a lot with implementation to the main stable - it's much easier to start working with people after getting drunk once or twice together had really amazing time there, flicked in one or two sessions and yeah took some belts for safe way back that Sunday 3 weeks ago:

after 20 hours of hangovered flight I came back home and couple days in and all these series started. I was building stacks everywhere, was really close but never got there. cashed a lot of higher stuff and saw that it's all same game and buyin doesn't even matter - people get tired and people punt. made some mistakes mostly by overestamating people who are playing much higher abi than I am and realised that we all bleed red think in some runs I underestimated icm/puntiness of the field and needed to turtle more but opted for some thinner edges and got burnt every time so def a lot to learn from those.

there wouldn't be an update but fortunatelly I've sunnrunened 215 terminator all until the heads up where I lost all the flips by villain rivering it every time which was very tilting considering 10ish k difference but nothing could be done about it.

since in the stable:

I've made 45bbs in .es sunday special so gotta flick in session tommorow too so now I gotta sleep. will go in depth about some of the stuff from the above sometimes in the future I hope. cheers!

Nice blog and really nice progress mate.

I am looking to make the transition from cash to tournaments, so I have a few questions. Would really appreciate your input.

- I am a part-time zoom player, loving the game and having a nice side-income. However I got very interested in MTT´s lately. Would you say that for somebody having on average 80-100 hours/per month for poker, that these hours are enough to achive a solid volume on MTT´s (for part-time ofc).

- What would be your reccomendation regarding table count? I feel comfortable playing 6 tables currently. This seems very low and would lead probably to 150-200 games per month. However my goal is it to improve and I have basically no idea/experience at stacks <60bb.

- Are their any good CFP´s (coaching for profit) in the MTT world? CFP´s is very common in cash. It took me long time to become a winning player at cash and I would like to avoid this for MTT´s by having good coaching and guidance from a coach (I would be willing to give a certain % to the coach). I know there are staking stables, however I have my own bankroll and would not feel comfortable to own money sombody if the MTT thing turns out badly for me. Therefore I would like to avoid staking.

- Any good training material which you can reccomend? Maybe RYE or something at RIO, mainly for people going from cash > tournaments at having no good fundamentals like short-stack play, ICM, game selection, etc.

Thanks in advance and keep crushing!

So I went to Slovenia for some 500k gtd donkament and ended up winning 250e side event for 10k as it was Sunday I busted from the main and you can't play Stars from Slovenia :

other than that errything is good, was 6 days there, played pretty good and disciplined and very much wanted to come back home and start doing some SCOOP preps, finish some fundamentals brushing and start eating/practicing as I was bit ool since in that small town where is the venue is also best burger place in europe and it's not even close.

it all depends from what u're trying to accomplish...i mean if you want to do it part time then i'd suggest skipping mtts as it's pretty pointless if you can't plug in enough volume w variance being pretty cruel. I guess flicking some mtts on sunday for fun is fine but would be very careful w BRM. not really sure how to answer properly on your question, 100ish hours can be fine, think it's managable to plug in like 300 400 tournaments in that timespan though I'm talking from top of my head so can't really be sure as Ive never measured my playing hours

whatever it fits you best and again depends from many other factors. you should look to play as much as you can but be able to see on which count that focus drop comes, then keep it lil bit lower for some time then start adding one more table and repeat the process. i personally play 12ish on regular days and I lower it on Sunday / series days as prizepools are much higher therefore mistakes much more expensive then on let's say big 55 that I can play every day

don't think there are any cfps in mtt world due to high variance of the format. in cashgames with good guidaince and game selection you can actually be pretty certain about somebody's shortterm results while in MTTs you can be best on the world and still not book a win for a long time (also depending from plenty other factors such as field size, edge, etc). I strongly believe that the best way to improve today is to join an stable with good coachings. Or at least connect with people in similar state of their /career/ and build up/join good community. without good community process is much longer and much more painful tbh, i've personally struggled a lot with motivation before joining bitb.

Thanks a lot for taking the time and giving me such a detailed answer. I will probably start adding maybe one day per week for MTT´s and see slowly how it goes. A lot of good 6max tourneys on stars.es were experience from 6max zoom can be helpul.

v happy w how I've played anyway, i did everything in ma power, was well prepared and calm, took some spots I usually miss, folded in some spots in which I like being sticky but they never bluff etc... got no regrets and I'm fortunate enough to be up like 20k for first big series I ever played while plenty brothers are down gazzilion so yeah, life's still good. who needs 770k

It's all good+, only I don't really want to update 2p2 blog as we have our blogs in bitb and yeah gettin insta feedback is amazing. Like I don't see any point of keeping this one other than bragging, will probably do update or two at some point.

Online had pretty slow summer but didn't drop much, then went to Barca on EPT, played 8-9 tournaments and Main twice, busted both Main bullets in very unfortunate ways but managed to FT last 1k freezeout for 30k score. It stings because it was FT full of muppets, had 1 reg that busted quickly but I'm v happy how everything turned out. Nightlife/food was v nice, it's beautiful city and tournaments were just trully amazing aswell.

Was 3rd in bb530 last night and am in really nice momentum prior to the WCOOP so yeah that's about it.
